Note 5 display digitizer panel - Galaxy Note5 Accessories

Hello guys
any leads on where can i find note 5 lcd display panel , complete with digitizer and display panel
i have 5-10 phones with broken display
need display panels at good wholesale prices , as nowadays pre-owned note 5 are available at low prices.
People are buying pre-owned / used note 5 from market instead of getting repaired

there's a reason for that; it's cheaper to get a working used note 5 than to get a new screen. samsungs are usually not economically viable to fix after about 6 months after its release.

One big problem with harvesting a display panel from a Note 5 is how Samsung placed the USB flex connector, which makes it extremely difficult to remove without damaging the screen. So, if a unit has a faulty flex connector, which could have been an easy repair if Smasnung placed it with easier access, the faulty connector can pretty much make a good display worthless if not very carefully removed.

Prestigio multipad 8" split screen

Hello, i got for free Prestigio Multipad Thunder 8.0i 3G (PMT7787_3G_D), but screen is split, about half screen to one side of the cleavage is dead... But LCD is good, view is so clear and bright.
I try find out how change this model touch panel (she is from glass), but in russian forums i found just that to LCD with touch panel is full face glued and most people say that they spoils LCD when it try distinguish it from touch panel. Maybe something is to try to distinguish this model touch panel? I see in youtube some people separate LCD form touch panel with hot air fan-heater and strong fishing line, but some people in Russian forums says that the glue for this model is very hard (harder than Apple or Samsung). In internet china shops i see glass touch panels for this model in sale, it means that it is possible to change them, but how? Or for the new touch panel replacement match UV glues? Is this device worthwhile the risk to remove the touch panel and only buy touch panel (16$) , or if i failure to remove the touch panel and LCD will damaged simply forgetting that tablet pc, and maybe this device worth at once Buy the LCD with glued touch panel (60$)?
P.S. Many thanks for the answers in advance.
P.S.S. Sorry for my terrible english knowledge :/
I would say any device that you purchased for $60 is not worth repairing. If you do decide to repair it, then you'll need a heat gun which will cost you an extra $20 or so to buy. So you're going to pay at least $30 to repair a screen that might not survive the repair process.
I have people who lend for me good bosh heat gun, and i have good flat work table. I don't know where i can buy touch panel with glued lcd (ready to use LCD+touch) for best price, in aliexpress cheapest offers is out of stock... i write to services who repair touch screens, i got answer that cost me 30-50$ with parts and replacement, hmmm from they get screens :/ because i just find cheapest for 60$...
P.S. yes, this device is cheap now~100-150$ (i got for free) but it with Atom series intel procesor, is this procesor not a miracle? Good stereo, good 8" ips screen...

d802 glass panel replacement help

hi...
i have a d802 device with broken screen glass...
touch & gestures work... screen works... it only has a few cracks on it...
can i just replace the front glass (cheaper solution?) or must i replace the whole digitizer and front panel...
any suggestions on trusted online shops thazt sell genuine LG d802 parts?
thanks in advance
Digitizer and glass is a single unit, and is readily available on ebay (for cheap) so there is that. The thing is that it is next to impossible to separate the glass from the display itself, and without professional tools the result of the reassembly will be quite awful. The best would be to exchange the display assembly as a whole. This is actually done quite easily. Lots of guides are available online, which just makes the process even easier.
Also for where to get the displays. You can actually contact LG or one of their service providers to purchase the display assembly. This way you are completely sure to get a top quality product. This is a tad more expensive though.
Ebay is also another place to get displays, the quality varies greatly here (have gotten anything ranging from completely original to barely functioning knock off. )
Etradesupply is apparently the best place to get displays at the moment, as their S+ grade is comparable to the ones you get from LG

yes, i saw some youtube tutorials and removing glass from digitizer is a pain in the a$$, it can be done using hot air to melt the glue - but it's a time consuming process...
what interests me more is a whole screen section (glass+digitizer) and buying a proper genuine one for d802 (i think some people had issues with installing wrong panels from other variants to their d802 model)
thanks for your helpful answer :good:

The thing is that the D800 and Veriozon models (as I recall) uses different digitizers. The connectors for these should not physically be able to connect to the D802 motherboard.
But to be able to cure the optically clear glue used for displays you will not only need an uv light but also lots of practice. Air bubbles get caught under the glass way too easily for it to be viable.
One more thing to note. the LCD itself is too easy to bend. Any flex will destroy it. Should also note that I too have watched the video where someone separates the G2 glass from the LCD and have tried to follow along multiple times. Every time resulting the same way. LCD breakage. Both times the polarizing filter got unstuck. So if you really want to go this route, my advice would be to find a professional to do the job.
Recently I had same problem: cracked digitizer. After my experience - first trying to replace only digitizer - NOT GOOD. I had to buy a whole set - digitizer and LCD. Just pay attention to your type of LG G2 - you can find all the types. But I am not sure if you can find a genuine replacement. Usually they are substitute, with no logo. But everything works fine. Pay attention also to where and how the connectors are placed and the most important thing - after you took out the old LCD give it a good heat to the back of the battery pack because is stuck with strong biadhesives and try not to pry too much the battery.
I just replaced mine G2 D802 (from 2013) Lcd, you need to replace the whole thing (screen+lcd)I think, you can buy the Lcd from the Internet. I bought the lcd about $50 and got the shop to replace it for $6. Now my G2 is like new.

Questions about replacing a broken Note8 Screen.

Hi, i been unlucky and broke the bottom left corner of my note8 screen. :crying: , luckily phone still works even tho there is a tiny hole in corner (guessing i lost the water resistance rating).
The phone still works, so im not in a huge rush to replace the screen because of the cost. But i do have a few questions i hope someone might have the answers for .
1. I have replace screens before in phones ( none my own, i'm usually very careful with my own phones) but this would be my first with water resistance rating. Have anyone of you had success in replacing a screen yourself and feel confidant enough that it still water resistance or even tested it out?
I would like to keep it water resistance for the off chance i ever drop phone in water. I under stand that the screen and back is held together with double sided tape cut to the shape of phone along with a few screens in middle. i'm been looking at screen replacements that's already attach to the center body so i could just have to deal with moving over the insides of phone and dealing with the back cover only
2. Would you recommend that or only ordering the screen?
3. and last question does anyone have a reliable seller(ebay) or online store they recommends. I have a issue before with a Samsung phone that they released a update and it block the use of Non-OEM screens. So i want to make sure i'm getting OEM screen with 0 chances of getting one that Samsung could block.
THANKS!
no recommendations?
If you want to maintain water resistance your best bet is to send it to Samsung. Its actually cheaper that way as well.
For example, I replaced the screen on a S8 Plus myself. I paid $244 for the screen/frame assembly plus had to buy new adhesive for the back door and lost my warranty. I later found out from Samsung they will replace the S8 Plus screen for $217. That includes shipping.
I believe the Note 8 screen is a little more expensive but not much.
check with Samsung support if you are eligible for the 1 free screen replacement thing, you could be lucky
Better of letting Samsung change the screen for approx $250.

I broken also mine, really small distance from the ground,( basically while I was sitting in the car) but kept an angulation that damaged the hedge and propagated a bit on the side, there is the possibility that the screen replacement will lower the price? Currently 350 eu are a bit too much for me. I am just a bit disappointed because honestly was thinking the gorilla glass would have been much more solid, they should sell it with a custom coverage to encourage people to use a cover. I did my research on the internet where was said in almost every place that the problem of this screen was that would scratch but not easily broke.
I broke mine....180 € in official technical center in Portugal.

That's frustrating for sure. The newer gorilla glass on the Note 8 is indeed more impact resistant than before, but it's still glass. 350 euro seems very steep for a screen replacement though...almost double what I expected...
I shattered the screen and damaged the digitizer on my Note8 a little while ago. Found that it was actually cheaper to send it to Samsung for repair than to buy the screen/digitizer. They even replaced the rear glass for $237. I bought mine used, so no warranty for me.
the point is, if for the screen I have to pay more than 30 percent of the value of the phone, and Samsung is advertising a super gorilla glass instead to advice prudence and maybe offer a free cover, I personally could be not so loyal to them in future. If I want to get ripped off I would buy an iphone.

Well, really the point is: if you want a sturdy device that can endure SOME, just SOME abuse, get a CAT device, or at least a samsung active series device, all normal standard devices are subject to scratchs and cracks when dropped, as for the repair price, that is exactly the penalty for not being careful, Just the same as when car accidents occur, the more expensive the car, the more expensive the parts and repair, and, an iphone screen is by no means cheap, my daughter dropped her iphone, and the cost was 220 dollars, but they only changed the outer part, not the lcd panel, the whole screen would have been around 400 dollars

Broken screen. Halp

Hi there
The glass of my Nexus 6 broke 4 weeks ago and until now the screen was working well but from yesterday is completely dead (device and touch still work)
What I need to buy to fix this? (lcd panel, digitalizer, glass)
^ sorry for the crappy quality
The easiest is to buy a complete display assembly. That includes glass and amoled panel mounted together, preferably with the frame as well. Expect to pay around 70 dollars if you buy from China.
You may need new glue for the back - you can buy a cut out sheet of glue, or just a new back with glue on, it's not expensive.
My display assembly came without the speaker covers (the two tiny plastic bars). I transfered the old ones, but you can also buy them new.

Replace broken screen with larger 7-9 inch tablet screen?? Any Options?

Hi guys, I have a Note 8 that had a fall and the screen cracked all over. At the time I had to get a new phone so it has just sat. I have been working on an infotainment display on a project car and I'm not sold on my current setup and development boards with enough power like a raspberry pi 4gb are outrageous in price. Today I looked and they were $160!! I had a thought as I was helping my son with his tablet (Galaxy Tab A SMT290). I have this high power Note 8 just sitting here collecting dust and it would be perfect for my needs but the screen is too small, even if it wasn't shattered. With many displays using things like LVDS or some semi-standard pinout and such, does the Note 8 use a connector for the screen and digitizer that I could find on a bigger screen with a size between 7 and 9 inches? I am making the shroud for the display myself so I'm not locked into a specific size so I'm just wondering if there are any possible options and what those might be?
Thanks!
