The problem is that you're trying to flash a lollipop ruu (7.xx.xxx.x version) using the regular fastboot.exe. You must use htc_fastboot.exe to flash lollipop ruu on the M7 (and for everything on newer htc's devices)
You can download it from here or it can be extracted from a ruu.exe (but not from a ruu.zip). Save htc_fastboot.exe in the same folder where you already have your regular fastboot and adb (htc_fastboot.exe needs the same dll to work). When you need htc_fastboot, simply start your command with "htc_fastboot" instead of "fastboot"
i.e
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
htc_fastboot flash zip some_ruu.zip
fastboot reboot
Note that you don't have to do the "flash zip" command twice now that your are using this fastboot version.

oh and your cid was fine when it was 11111111, you should write this one back.

Remove your imei and serial number from your post above, those are 2 numbers you want to keep to yourself.
your bootloader must be locked or relocked to flash an RUU and also you must be booted into RUU mode to flash it, you may also need to use the htc_fastboot.exe: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934550031

Remove your IMEI and SERIALNO from your above "getvar all"
Afaik there is no 4.19.401.11 RUU.exe you are probably using an older version like the 4.19.401.9 ruu.exe. You can't flash older ruu version on a s-on phone.
You have 2 options
1- restore your phone using the 4.19.401.11 reset rom. This rom must be flashed using a custom recovery like you do for a custom rom. It will flash back the stock rom, recovery, radio and kernel. Your phone will be stock and will be able to update via ota.
2- You can restore the phone using the 7.19.401.22 ruu but you'll first need to update your firmware to 7.19.401.2
Firmware updating:
Make sure your bootloader is locked or re-locked if not:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
then flash the firmware:
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip M7_UL_Firmware_7.19.401.2.zip
fastboot flash zip M7_UL_Firmware_7.19.401.2.zip
fastboot reboot-bootloader
and finally flash the ruu --> using htc_fastboot.exe not the normal fastboot(important)
Code:
htc_fastboot oem rebootRUU
htc_fastbot flash zip PN07IMG_M7_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_HTC_Europe_7.19.401.22_Radio_4T.35.3218.16_10.33Q.1718.01L_release_430964_signed.zip
htc_fastboot reboot

Converting Back to Sense from GPE

I have decided to switch my AT&T Htc One M7 from GPE back to Sense. This device is S-Off and Bootloader Unlocked. This m7 was originally used on AT&T with Sense 4.4 Kitkat before being converted it to GPE.
My setup:
Windows 10 Pro
Latest HTC Drivers with USB 3.0 and 2.0 working correctly (Tested and working with fastboot commands)
HTC Sync Disabled.
Latest Android SDK (Updated)
New HTC Cable (Old one works too)

To continue, I have tried two different HTC RUU.exe. They both give the same error code.
ERROR [155]: Unknown Error

I also tried two AT&T RUU's. These had the same results as the above two.
RUU_M7_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_Cingular_US_7.23.502.4_Radio_4M.32.3218.06_10.46.1718.01L_release_449059_signed_2.exe

I extracted the Rom.zip from both of these RUU's and tried flashing them thru fastboot oem rebootRUU. It failed to flash giving me this error; target reported max download size of 1526722560 bytes

I have read a lot of information from XDA and the internet. But I feel I am missing a step At this point I figure all of these flashing errors are due to the difference in filesystem sizes between Sense and GPE. If you have any suggestions I'd really appreciate it. Please include links and files if possible. Thanks

At this point you are 90% there :good:
I'll give you the last 10% you need
In order to flash a 7.xx.xxx.x RUU (exe or zip) you must have at least hboot 1.57
And finally, to flash a 7.xx.xxx.x ruu.zip you must use the fastboot version that comes inside the ruu.exe (on the forum we call this one htc_fastboot but inside the ruu.exe it will simply be named "fastboot.exe"). Google's fastboot version can't handle files as big as the newer 7.xx.xxx.x RUUs. Anyway, that was just for your information since after flashing hboot 1.57 or 1.61, you should be able to flash the 7.17.154051 RUU.exe without any problem.
Here is the 1.61 hboot: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087014709
to flash it:
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip 7.17.1540.51_hboot_signedbyaa.img
fastboot flash zip 7.17.1540.51_hboot_signedbyaa.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then launch your RUU.exe or flash the ruu.zip using htc_fastboot
and don't panic if your phone is stuck at the white "HTC" splash screen for a while when booting for the fist time after the flash, the first boot can be a little longer than usual.
My One M7 is converted to GPE too, version HBOOT is 1.54, can i flash HBOOT 1.61 above?

adb will only work from a custom recovery or from a booted rom, not in the bootloader. Use twrp to flash a rom or flash a ruu using fastboot.

If fastboot commands are working but not adb, you have a driver problem. Make sure you have the latest version installed. ADB sideload can sometime be less reliable than using the old adb push method. If you have a recent TWRP version installed, you shouldn't even have to use adb push or adb sideload to transfer the rom to your phone since the recovery is now taking advantage of the MTP protocol (you should see your phone storage, like a usb drive, when the phone is booted in recovery).
Flashing a Lollipop RUU (version starting with 7.xx.xxx.x) requires the use of htc_fastboot.exe. The regular fastboot.exe from the android sdk tools can't handle the 7.xx.xxx.x RUU because of the file size. You can find the correct fastboot version in the ruu collection thread (linked in my signature) at post #1 under the "How to flash" spoiler or search for "htc_fastboot.exe" on androidfilehost.com

Yes I think the same, it is driver problem. But in my opinion it is problem with the phone drivers.
I tired to connect my m7 to 4 diffrent pc with cables which works good with diffrent phones.
I changed usb port to the new too but still the same, any pc doesnt see my htc.

Htc one (m7) can not boot anymore

Hello,
as you already mentioned from the title, my old Phone isnt able to boot anymore.
It all started with that I did a factory reset in my phone settings. I had a custom rom installed (ViperOne...)
after that my phone was able to start and I selected all the settings that u get asked at the start of every new reset.
But my phone wasnt able to complete it all. After I finished it up the process always stoped working.
So I decided to get into the bootloader and clean up everything in there. Now im stuck at the HTC Logo.
Information about my Device: Bootloader is unlocked (now it says "Relocked");
Fastboot should be activated; S-ON;
fastboot getvar all

I dont have a backup file for my phone, but I put the latest ViperOne+ update on my phone (I can install it via recovery but it isnt working either)
If I type in "fastboot oem rebootRUU" in the ADB & Fastboot cmd it brings me up to another logo (working perfectly)
but when I wanna flash the firmware on it. It doesnt work at all.

I even downloaded another firmware and it was the same problem.
Hopefully I didnt miss any Information about my Phone.
It would be really great if you guys can help me. I wouldnt do this post If I havent tried so much
btw. sry for my bad english hehe
If you want to flash a custom rom you must unlock bootloader and flash twrp.
custom roms can be flashed only from twrp.
If you want to revert to stock, this is the right ruu for your m7: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962021903579482012
okay thank you very much, this was more than helpful!
yes I want to install a custom rom. I was able to install twrp. But I dont know how to proceed now.
Should I install the custom rom with the cmd or just going into bootloader and select it on my phone to install ?
//edit: just went into the factory restore settings in the bootloader and twrp showed up - trying to install my custom rom now with it.
My phone is now showing up on my pc hehe
//edit²: Android is upgrading - guess its working
Thank you very much
