Im sorry for this lame question lol...But im sure here i will get a good answer.
I had an xperia play but its broken now sadly <.< love to play games and youtube...now im seeking some
alternatives to get a new cellphone..
And here are the cellphones available for me
Razr i
Razr D3
Samsung Galaxy S Advance
Iphone 4 8gb
The best choice seems Razr i to me, even if D3 its newer and its dual core...but gpu its lower as many features of it.
I know there may be other choices but those are the best offers in my country.
Thanks! Also sorry for my bad english
The only reason I will choose a D3 instead the Razr i would be money, since it cost less (in my country is like almost 270 vs 460 USD) maybe will be a good option. The dual sim model is far more interesting to me, but as a backup cellphone.
The other two cellphones have no interest for me, take this as personal opinion.
The dual core theme isnt matter
The razr i have an intel proccesor with hyperthreading clocked to 2 Ghz
For me its the best phone of relation phone/price
I recommend it 200%
Intel device - Razr i Owner
Hit thanks if i help you or you like my style
Love this phone, one of the best middleclass smartphones out there.
My last phone was a Sony Xperia Sola and the Razr I is 1000 times better,
i'm so happy with it, i can not put it in words
the only think not so good about it, is the lack of custom roms like cm or miui.

I'm looking for a comparable china phone. I looked on multiple sites but I can't find a note3 clone with 4g. Maybe I am looking wrong. The clones look very nice, especially at the price they are going for. But I want 4g. I'm on straight talk right now, so it has to be at&t compatible. I really don't want to go any smaller than 5.7 screen size either since I have (and love) the note 2 right now.
Does anyone know if there is a nice note3 clone out there with 4g capabilities on the AT&T network?

Answered my own question. Check it out.
http://www.chinaecarts.com/samsung-...ore-20ghz-13mp-camera-32gb-4g-lte-p-3934.html
it's a clone with 8 cores, 3 gig of ram, and 4g capable in the us.
sweet.
Hey let me know when you get it. I'm interested in getting one but I don't want to be scammed by a damn Chinese site.

Took a longer look at it. Looks like an extreme scam. He wrote in an email to me that he cannot do paypal because they "do not allow clones" and would "freeze his account". He also states that the only way to order from him is to send western union or wire transfer. The wire transfer option states "do not put an order number anywhere on the transfer or it will get denied by his bank. And obviously everyone knows western union should never be used for any transactions because it is so unsafe. Now... Why would a reputable company say all that? Paypal in fact does not care what you sell since they just handle money. Wire transfers with no order number on them simply makes it easier for them to say you sent it of your own free will and they don't owe you anything. Seems scammish to me.
The other thing is that the new MTK6592 (octacore) with 4g LTE capability just came out this month. According to every other site that I have searched, no 4g LTE version of MTK6592 will be available in a phone until, at the earliest, after the chinese new year (starts jan 31). So again... scammish. I have read reviews about people who got phones from them, but they didnt get what they were told, and that they were scammed out of money. I don't have 350 to risk on a possible scam. I will likely not be waiting for the 4g china phones to come out. The goophone v92 pro is one, the THL monkey king 2 is another. There are likely going to be a lot more soon, but those are two that are being presold now. There are a ton of other phones out there though that get H+ in the us and look great. Elephone p8 being one that is comparable size to the note 3 (5.8 inches and 27k on antutu). There is also a really nice 6.5 inch one called inew i6000+ which I like. Both are at or under 300$ which is a far cry less than the 500 for a note 3. As long as you don't mind the wait, china products are awesome. I've bought and will buy them again. Just get a site that accepts paypal so there is protection on your end. www.pandawill.com is always good, thought they take 2-10 business days to ship usually and then however long it takes to get over seas. There are a ton of china sites that actually work though if you search. PAYPAL ONLY THOUGH!
for $400 US might as well get a legit real one.
I picked up my note 3 brand new in the box with a reciept and a bill of sale from cratgilist for $420. Do you really want to go through all of that and use a fake version of the phone with no warranty to save $70?

Well the idea is actually to get a better phone than the note 3. The note 3 is only quad core. The ones I'm looking at are octa core. Front camera is also 5 mp vs 2 mp of note 3. Then you have screen size. I'm looking at the 6.5. Either way its choice. I may end up just going with the legit note 3 but likely I will just get the new 4g LTE octa core from China because I want 8 cores. Performance wise I know the note 3 scores better antutu but its not all about graphics. I want a phone that is everything I want not just some.

You don't understand what you're getting yourself into.
The Chinese knock offs don't have gorilla glass and will scratch easily. There is no oleophobic coating on the screen and it will be covered in fingerprints immediately and be hard to wipe off without alcohol. The materials on the entire body of the phone are cheap plastic rather than polycarbonate. It will crack much easier and the paint will chip off.
The ram and all of the components are going to be the cheapest possible components on the market so memory failures are very likely. And with no warranty you'll be out of luck. There's no waccom digitizer so 90% of the s pen features will not even work. The speaker phone probably sounds horrible. And you can expect many aspects of touchwiz to not work at all such as smart stay and probably the gyroscope.
Good luck.
**Also you say the note 3 is ONLY quad core lol Are you aware that Samsung makes an octa core version as well? Are you aware that the quad core version scores higher on Antutu X AND is immensely more battery efficient?**

As i mentioned before i kow it scored a better antutu score than the ones im looking at. 35k vs 27k and im sure it is battery efficient. But when i research i find the octa core note 3 is not even activated to be octa core because of a heat package issue. So note 3 will never truly be octa core.
I do know that they make the phones cheaper. But when i buy a phone the first thing i do is case it and put a screen protector on it. So those issues are minor to me. When it comes down to it america charges for names. We all know this and we keep spending the money. There are times where i would only want the american version of things, but i have had china tablets and i am pretty happy with them. I dont mind lower quality materials sometimes because they are worth it. You can not get some of the phones you can get in china models, and the phones tend to have more power than their american counterparts.
performance boost on poor quality materials negates it. i suggest you stick with the legit one.

There is no legit phone of the model that I am looking at. I have not been looking at the note 3 clone at all. I was momentarily looking at it because I thought it was the same thing. Now I am looking at other chinese phones that are not made in America. The phones are reputable manufacturers that have millions of buyers. I am not looking at clones because I don't think it makes sense to get a clone. I suggest you take a look at the chinese brands out there, they have a huge following. ZOPO t1000 looks really nice but it's not out yet. Just because something isn't made for america doesnt make it bad. In fact, a lot of the phones made outside of the US are amazing. Either way, I ended up finding a really cheap note 3 and scooped it so all this is moot. But I will definitely be looking a lot harder at the chinese brand phones now that they are going to be offering 4g on them. I do suggest you take a harder look though, you are very biased against them, and they really aren't as bad as you make them out to be. In most cases people would be very happy with a cheaper foreign make phone instead of the overpriced overbloated crap that american consumers are used to. For the same technology they charge less. China is all open source, they really are ahead of the curve on phones if you really look at it. You can actually get the "foreign" make phones that are the same brands we get in the US, but they are VASTLY different. The dual sim note 2 is just one example. Take a look at them, you likely will be happy with at least one of em if you let yourself be.

I guess I'll agree to disagree. You seem set against foreign phones for some reason. Personally I think american products are overpriced and have inferior components to what they COULD put in there. It's all a game in america. Money over everything else. This is why we see all the locked devices and locked firmware, and everything else they do to keep their products theirs alone. All these things are unheard of other places. We are the capitol of control. I am not saying that every foreign phone is a winner, but there are many amazing devices. Most american devices are crap, that's fact, so it's really not much different. And with all the advances they have because it's open source, I think they will eventually surpass america in all areas. Till then, I guess everyone will just hate foreign stuff!

Capitol of control? And China isnt? LMAO You keep referring to AMERICAN phones. You realize Samsung is a Korean manufacturer right? Lol The locked bootloaders come from the wireless carriers in the US, NOT the phone manufacturers. And Chinese stuff sucks plane and simple. They clone everything and sell bogus products. Are you telling me you would buy a car from china? It would be made out of cardboard LOL
And when you buy an imported phone you will have zero warranty. I can't believe you would even be okay with that part alone. Show me one CHINESE MADE, not a Chinese variant of a Korean phone such as a note 2 that is sold in china, a Chinese phone like ZTE or oppo, that has a better spec sheet and build quality than one of the major brands sold in america.

Again, I am not saying they are all better. American phones, and I mean american CARRIED phones, are in general garbage. The new Zoppo t1000 has great specs if you look at them. The only phones that really are better in america are the flagship devices. I would never buy an american phone that was not a flagship. I would however buy a lot of the various chinese phones. As far as the warranty... I don't really care about warranty guarantees. I've never even used one, and I get all my phones second hand anyways. No warranty there. Either way, it's preference, you just don't like non american phones. I don't really care where they come from.
Hi everyone,
I've had the iPhone 4 for the last 4 years, and befor that I had the 3 version for 2 years.
Right now, I'm looking for a change and it looks the note 4 will be my choice.
I've been reading this forum thoroughly for the last few days and it looked to me that the Exynos version would be right up my alley (I'm more in it for multi tasking than gaming so octa core would be better suited).
So, I've been reading all about the different versions and the SM 910-C looks to me that has 4G compatibility in Portugal... however, I cannot find it anywhere. it's kind'a driving me off... Over here the only release will be the snapdragon one (tomorrow)
Can anyone direct me to a decent and serious shop from where I could order the note 4 I want (keeping in mind that I'd like to have the warranty if anything happens)?
thanks in advance for your help. Looking forward to reading more around these foruns..
hi, all i can say if you can't find Exynos model, you won't be sorry with a Snapdragon. It can also do multi tasking very, very good. To me the better option overall is Snapdragon for various reasons. ( I Have other Exynos devices and they are to me similar overall.) Good luck whatever you choose.!

thanks for your reply...
I was after the Exynos version due to the fact of being octa core (just like the Alpha which tells me that the chips must be going really well), 64 bit (in the long run i'm guessing this should mean more compatibility with future OS's)...
anyone knows a good place to order them?

None of that will actually make a tangible difference in day to day usage of the device. Just buy whichever version is sold in your preferred shop and enjoy the phone. The Exynos chip doesn't have any clear advantages just by having more cores, it and the snapdragon are overall very similar to each other in most aspects.
The 64 bit is pretty much irrelevant too as it's unlikely the Note 4 will actually get an upgrade to enable the 64 bit functionality in the Exynos model. Samsung have always tried to keep the differences between SD/Exynos powered phones as small as possible, so it's very unlikely that they'll cause a big split in the phones by updating one to run 64 bit software. Even if it does get updated to use it, in actual practical use you're unlikely to notice much difference in performance.
So honestly, just get hold of whichever phone you can and enjoy it!
The Exynos isn't truly an Octa core cpu, it only uses 4 cores at one time. Samsung isn't going to use 64bit on the Note 4 in the future. Samsung have actually just rebranded the Note 4 Cpu and will use its 64bit capability later devices. Snapdragon is fine.
boy, do I feel stupid for going through 60+ pages on threads around here and trying to get the differences between both devices.
I am new to the Android world and was looking for a device that could last more than just until Note 5 is released (I bought my iPhone 4 on release... 4 years is an eternity for a smarthphone nowadays).
that being said, I figured the Exynos would probaably be better suited and you guys who actually understand about that stuff say that is all the same...
Does the fact that Nexus 6 is 64 bit influence anything for future "stock" updates? Will I my phone lifespan updatewhise be afected by that?
I am sorry if these look like noob questions to you...
The Nexus 6 is not 64bit, in fact, the Nexus 6 uses exactly the same CPU/GPU as the Note 4, Snapdragon 805 with Adreno 420, that means the Snapdragon Note 4 will get a ton of support.
The Nexus 9 tablet is the 64bit one of the two and uses a NVidia CPU.

Asus recently announced their new flagship at a pretty aggresive price, for around 500$ you're getting an S845 with a big 19:9 ratio screen, dual camera, nice design ( maybe ruined by the notch ), you think the 5Z can compete with the Oneplus 6 ?
My opinion is that it's an iPhone X clone, there's no way around that. However, it's priced competitively and undercuts several SD845 devices. The only downsides really, would be Asus' track record with major OS updates, as well as their skin. I had the ZF2 3yrs ago and wasn't fond of their UI.
I'm sort of fascinated by the design, but I'm worried about development being DOA and the BL being locked. Also I want the normal ZF5 with the SD660 if it's below $300.
the specs looks good in my opinion.
maybe the only downside was the UI and development. ZF3 and ZF4 got only few roms.
but the device is running android Oreo now.
I'm eyeing now this device because of the wide angle lens, maybe this will be my replacement for my LG G5. I'm hating LG now for having select variants with unlockable bootloader and poor quality of the device.

In the US you have to buy the carrier free variant, but development is lackluster for LG phones now. V20 and G5 have some support, whereas previous LG models such as the G2-G4 saw more development. Sorta doubt things will pick up for the V30.
I'm hoping the ZF5's price will attract devs, especially those from oneplus devices.
icloned. I personally will never buy a device which is copy of an iPhone. During the presentation they seemed proud of it, heck they even called it the Fruit Phone X. Asus has just lost it, as has all the other OEMs who copy the Apple notch whether it be Moto, Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo, LG. I would rather switch to Apple instead.

Hoping it also. :fingers-crossed:
Looking at price and specifications of the 5Z, as long as it's available with some kind of bootloader unlock then this is my preferred flagship beater. A single AOSP based rom like AICP or CRDroid for it and I'll be happy as long as we keep it up to date.

This!
This phone looks like really good hardware and actually from what little ice read, I'm seeing that Asus have gone a lot closer to stock with the software as well.
If the bootloader can be easily unlocked then all it needs is one AOSP ROM (which given it will be treble enabled shouldn't be too hard) and we are a go.
I really do think this will be a good device for them. With treble being mandatory for all phones shipping with Android 8, it should take away a lot of anxiety from manufacturers who provide poor software updates as long as the bootloader can be unlocked

well. we could ask the devs from ZF3 and ZF4 @planet9 @shakalaca @anhenrique if they will get the ZF5.
Looking forward for zenphone 5 with s636 price around below 400 and BL unlocked and source code release!
Seriously drooling over this 5z the specs are killer, as far as the notch I could care less that it resembles a essential p1. The specs the aspect ratio is spot on. Think it may be my next device after it's been out for a few months and see how it rolls. Hopefully Asus keeps the major updates coming for it and a place in the modding community. That sd845 tho.
I am considering this device. It seems to tick all of my boxes. I do wish it was waterproof, but for the price I'm strongly considering it anyways. Does anyone know Asus reputation with RF performance?

I think it's radio frequency, ie if this phone gets good phone reception.
There is also SAR (specific Absorbtion Rate). This is something that measures how much radiation a phone outputs to your body when the phone is at a certain distance. This is something that should be spoken about more. Phones can up the power for a better signal but it should be the optimisation of phone strength without outputting more radiation into your body.

If this were offered in a Google Play Edition I would jump all over it. ASUS bloat and support, no thanks.
Asus told me via their FB account, that USB2.0 stated on GSM arena is incorrect. So afterall there is hope, that the SD636 version will be one of the first midrangers with proper USB3.1 with all its perks!
I just wish, that asus doesn't screw up something on the phone, because so far it looks like a killer phone.

I don't think so. look at their Zenfone 3 models its already running android Oreo unlike other companies that still stuck on nougat.
Oh darn, I cracked my S8 screen, time for a new phone! I didn't have the Exynos S8, so I was never able to root this phone, and I miss it desperately. I'm probably going to buy an S10 or maybe S20, and it looks like there's still no Snapdragon root. My question is - is there any drawback to getting an Exynos version, and does it place nice with Verizon? Are all international versions Exynos? What search terms do I have to use to verify that I'm getting an Exynos version? Basically - is there any reason not to get an Exynos S10? Is there an Exynos version of all of the S10 phones (S10, S10+, S10 Ultra)?
I have been Rooting Samsung Galaxy's since the S6.
My friend owns several independent phone stores.
We have tried virtually every provider out there.
Prior to owning Samsung Galaxys I WAS an iphone owner. (My very last iphone was a 5.)
I always Jailbroke the iphones and the reason I stopped purchasing was the price...
So, what I have found out about buying and rooting Samsungs is this:
I don't believe you will get the performance of a U.S . phone when you purchase a EXYNOS.
My belief is due to the fact that you won't have the same bands available to you vs the American version. If you can live with less connectivity then go ahead and make your purchase.
Additionally, the whole process of Rooting a Samsung Exynos phone is complicated. You are not likely to Hard Brick the phone, but be prepared to spend time on XDA solving your problems.
Because of my background in Computer Systems Analysis, and due to the fact that I am patient and willing to ask the questions, plus read through an entire blog listing for the specific download, I have been successful...but to what end? When I think about the time spent, aggravation, etc., there is a diminishing loss ... currently running S10e EXYNOS Rooted with TWRP
Look for the SM-G970F SM-G973F SM-G975F versions which are EXYNOS
Thanks, although that's disappointing. I don't mind the technical stuff, I've rooted every phone prior to my s8, and I don't mind a challenge, I've softbricked plenty of phones, but haven't hard bricked one yet. I've done IT stuff my whole life, so if it's not actively on fire, it's still fixable, and I learn stuff in the process.
But from your reply and doing a lot of reading, it does seem like Exynos would be a significant performance hit. I'm really stubborn about things being open source and hardware being hackable, and my biggest reason for rooting is simply because I should be able to on principle, and I have daddy issues and don't like being told what to do, lol. I'll have to balance that with the performance/connectivity hit.
I'm assuming it's the same deal with the note line? Exynos is the only thing rootable and is significantly slower? Phooey. I've been using Samsung galaxies for the last 8 years or so, maybe I should look into the Pixel? I think that's the only other comparable Verizon phone?

Actually its not the same. I just switched to Note 10+ Exynos and the performance is extraordinary! I havent rooted it yet, but out of the box everything is fast, including uploads of pics. I went to the Plus because of the higher resolution & 12GB memory + MicroSD Capability.
