Hello all - Looking to see if anyone can help me with this issue. I ran the Recovery utility from my rooted ME170CX's Droidboot menu. This reverted my tablet back to Android 4.4.2 (it had previously been at a later release which I got through the tablet's System Update utility). Now, when I try to run System Update, the tablet will not download anything and states that my system is up to date. It also lists the last update at 12/31/1969.
I have tried putting the firmware .zip files from Asus's webpage on a SD card and running the Recovery utility again, but it always displays an "Error" screen and reboots (this also happens when I run the Recovery utility without a SD card inserted in the tablet). I have also un-rooted my tablet and still get the above results.
Has anyone else dealt with a scenario like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,
Last night, i rooted by N7000 through PhilZ-cwm6-DDLSC-ODD-5.08.5-signed and was successful in doing that.
Later i wanted to update my device to 4.2.2. So i downloaded cm-10.1-20130727-NIGHTLY-n7000.zip file and kept in my external SD card.
Then in recovery mode,i wipe the factory data. There was option wipe data or wipe to install new ROM. I selected the latter one. Wipe for installing new om was successful. Then i went to update zip.file option. But since the file was in external sd card, it was not detected and i was not able to select the file. Then i rebooted the phone but only 'Samsung galaxy N7000' screen was coming and nothing was happening.
I rebooted my phone many times but same screen was coming. Then in morning i went in advance options. I selected Recovery Bootloader. Downloading screen was coming and nothing was happening. Then i switched my off and trying to start in recovery mode but its not starting.
I thin i have no checked USB debugging.
Kindly help soon as i am helpless without phone. Your early response will be highly appreciated.
With the option "install new Rom" you removed your old Rom from your device. So it is only logical that your device won't boot into it.
Next time follow the installation instructions given in the CM-thread exactly.
And of course you can choose a zip from external sd card in CWM. So take a look again.
Best thing to do for you: boot into download mode, install a stock Rom with PC Odin and use it without changing things.
Hey Thanks for the help. But now i am facing new problem.
I flashed my phone using odin with stock rom.
Later i rooted with PhilZ-cwm6-DDLSC-ODD-5.08.5-signed and then updated it with cm-10.1-20130727-NIGHTLY-n7000.
This time i was successful. My phone was updated to 4.2.2.
Then i used it for some time and switched it off for removing the external SD card. After that i tried to switch on my phone, its not working.
Nothing is appearing on screen. I charged it and then tried to switch it on but nothing is coming on screen.
When i try to switch on my phone in Recovery mode or in download mode a thin line on the screen appears and then disappears and then nothing comes on screen.
Help please. Last suggestion worked.Kindly advise
So I just got a message for an OTA update and I tried to install it. During the installation, the phone aborted it and asked me if I wanted to reboot. What I didn't realize was that the system UI was deleted so that the new update could replace it. When I rebooted my phone it started up normally but then went into is a blue screen. I tried to reboot the system again in recovery mode but it won't go into it. Is there anyway I can fix this?
EDIT
I got into the recovery and tried to do a sideload to see if I could get a rom onto the phone but my phone won't connect to the computer. If anyone knows of something I could try, it would be much appreciated.
My moto g xt1063 keeps rebooting but I can't figure out why. Sometimes it goes to the home screen and works fine for a few minutes before rebooting again, most of the times it gets stuck on the bootloader warning screen and reboots. I can access recovery though.
I had planned to install cyanogenmod on it a couple of months ago but I got stuck on an "Error updater binary in zip" so I just gave up. The device is running Official Rom provided by Telcel (México) and has SuperUser on it too, I had a notification about the binary but updating didn't fixed the problem.
I have a backup on my computer (mac) but since I can't get the phone to sync by usb I was wondering how to copy it via recovery (clockworckmod v6.0.4.7) or if it's best to buy a micro sd and try to install from there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
First try a factory reset.
Use an sdcard yo retore backup
If fail return to stock rom
If you have a recovery installed try to make a backup from there and save it in some place like a sd card.
After that I suggest you install CM 12.1 21/05/2015 and look how it works.
Or if you prefer then reinstall the stock rom.
Hi all,
I am trying to build a car headunit system using the Asus memo pad 7 ME176CX (k013). I got everything sorted out and the last thing I had to do was to kill the player when the ignition of the car is off.
For that reason I installed llama and made an event to kill the player when on battery. This did not work so I decided to root the tablet so I could force-kill the app.
I downloaded the one-click zenfone root from and followed the instructions. Everything worked just fine and I got the Super SU icon and so on.
Unfortunately, llama still could not kill the process, so I decided I did something wrong and started the un-root.bat file. The process ended with success, but.......I got stuck to the ASUS logo with the loading
indicator below (just before the home screen loads) . I could still connect to the tablet and performed the CheckBeforeAction.bat - it worked just fine. For some reason decided that it would be a good idea to root again and did it - again successfully (or so says the shell).
However, I could not go pass that ASUS logo. So (as if I haven't created a big mess already) I entered into fastboot mode and performed factory reset. That did not help at all.
I followed the instructions and downloaded the stock 182 ROM (I saw the WW version from the fastboot screen), put it in the root of my external 16GB SD card and renamed it.
Well.....when I enter fastboot mode I do not see an option involving SD card. All options I have are droid reboot, something I can not remember but has nothing to do with SD, recovery, power off.
When I go to recovery there I see
- reboot
- apply update from ADB
- wipe data
- wipe cache
Strangely, I can no longer connect to the tablet via USB, so I do not know how to make use of the CWM.
I downloaded ADB_driver.zip and ASUS_Android_USB_drivers_for_Windows_20140325.zip, but for some reason these do not work - I get ERROR 10 when starting the driver.
Well, after all the things (probably really stupid) I did, now I am still not able to boot, but it also looks like I have no more USB access to the device and do not know how to take advantage of the
procedures that I have seen in the different threads.
Is there a way to still recover the device?
Hello, I have a big problem.
I have installed Lineage OS, no problem for the installation, the ROM works fine, but but I wanted to come back to Android 4.4.2 with the firmware flash. Since that moment, the tablet starts on a BIOS and I can no longer access the Recorvery, I have an updater binary error when I flash firmware with a TWRP session. I deleted /System and Internal Storage to see if I could reflash afterwards, but the damn BIOS is still there.
(By the way, if I leave the tablet plugged into the BIOS, will it load?)
Do you have any solutions, someone would have been there at some point?
I look forward to your answers.
