Anybody else notice this when I am swiping the screen on my note eg between homescreens when I reach the limit of the screen ie it cannot be swiped any further a blue band appears from the edge and stretches from the edge and fades as long as my finger pressure is applied and when pressure is released the blue band disappears
I hope I am making sense with the description. Is this a feature of the Note?

Yes. It's not just homepages, it happens with almost every app with a scrollbar.

Many Thanks for the reply I have not seen this on any device before, interesting feature.
You will also find this on cyanogenmod but in orange.
The reason behind this is that the previous scrolling bouncing effect previously used is pattented by Apple, so Samsung had to to change to something different to avoid having to stop selling their products.
Yup, same with MIUI

Sometimes I have my phone in my hand and I see a one inch high portion of my screen selected and the option to "dock" it to the top of my screen. What is that? I've researched "pin to top" on the s8 and s9, and that is similar...but what is this feature and how do you do it on the note 8?
Right now it's just happening and Id like to learn more about the feature.
Note 8 owner for one mont by the way.

I took a few pictures, ended up with all of us having red eye. My wife's s9+ has a portrait setting when you open the photo, click the 3 dots, open photo editor then click POTRAIT" My note 9 doesn't have the portrait option, my fathers note 9 doesn't have it, I made sure photo editor and gallery are up to date. So where is this feature? A phone that is suppose to be a tad better than the s9+ and it has less options than the s9+? I used the S Pen to take the photo with my rear facing camera. Anyone know a work around or how to get portrait back? Or even how to fix red eye with the stock software options??? Please help. This only does this on the Note9, the s9 and s9+ have this feature but the Note9 doesnt???
Open it in Gallery click on 3 dots in the upper right of the photo then select open in Photo Editor Pro where all the effects you asked about are located.

No portrait menu if photo editing app doesn't detect a face.
Missing photo editor pro on Samsung galary.
After updating android pie, there is no photo editor pro shown Samsung galary, i couldn't find it on 3 dot option. No portrait option.
Does anyone else experience a screen quality issue on the Note 9, that faint horizontal lines appear on their app drawer using the default wallpaper? The faint lines are only present on the bottom half of the app drawer, using the default wall paper. The lines do not appear on Home Screen.

Anyone facing this issue on their note 8.
Iam on android Oreo, December 2018 patch.
This happens when an app is open in pop-up.
In the screen shot Galaxy store is in pop-up (minimized). The wallpaper returns to normal as soon as the pop-up app is closed.
Any solutions?View attachment 4799813
