After updating when I go to apps from settings the settings stops and crashes. This problem happens even I hardrest and and restore backup
You might be better off setting up device from scratch after factory reset. You appear to have an app data issue with the restoration of you backup.

what will happend if i backup my things in the reccovory mode option and restore them after that? anyway to do this without reseting ?
Do a backup and after that wipe everything and flash the rom again. Reboot and wait until it boots up and let it sit for 5 minutes for it to load everything. Then reboot into recovery and choose advanced restore and just restore the data. Or just the apps, I forget how the actual files are named but just choose the one where the apps are. Don't restore everything cuz the lock will restore along with it.
Try this and report back..

ok this is what i did:
1) wipe
2 restore only data ( which included a sub folder called data/data) , but screenlock restored back with it
3 so i wiped again
4 did the full restore and i was watching what was restoring and i noticed that apps were in system and data, but not data/data
5 so i wiped data/data after that and everything was ok with the screenlcok
6 next thing i noticed (actually i noticed it exactly when i unlocked the phone almost all of my apps had the problem for example "Facebook had stopped working" and i have close and report or something like taht like options under it.
But nevermind i found an old titanuim backup with like 90% of my apps so i will wipe and restore
My other question is has anyone used the PIN lock on 2.3.4 because when i tried to set up a new PIN screenlock i was very careful when entering the numbers and it failed again .. so wiped and tried one more time with no success. So anyone had a Working PIN screen lock on 2.3.4?
Hi,
I am having darky rom - dont remember which version right now but also 2.3.4
and my PIN screenlock is also not working! Tried it some times now and the phone never seems to remember the PIN.
Anyhow i got my gnex in the meantime and my old SGS is still locked so I had a look today in the forum as I was cleaning up my shelves and found my old SGS (still locked) again and thought maybe there are some new infos on that topic they unfortunately not..
so still no PIN screenlock-recovery possible something with gmail unlock or so?

I have a backup of my last rom using ROM Manager tries using AppExtractor to recover my networks and lost security key with no luck. Is there another way to recover my lost security key?
Never-mind tried again and worked this time. Have to do a reboot right after the restore and nothing else.
Dear, all
first of all, sorry for my bad english...
I have my galaxy s3 mini for a few months (i bought it on august 2013), a week ago my HH had a notification that a new ugrade available. So i tap OK, and the phone downloaded the upgrade (195 MB, if i remember correctly). When the phone succesfully updated, i check the system. I noticed that the baseband version was upgraded from i8190DXAMA2 to i8190DXAMJ1. A few days later, my phone started acting wierd. All the system apps start to crash a lot. One day the messaging dan contact app not responding, and i had to force close and reboot the phone. The other day was clock app crashing, and i had to reboot the phone.
Does anyone have same problem like me? How can i fix this? I tried to clear app data, but that didn't work. Reboot is the only way to fix this problem. And i don't want to reboot the phone every day or two. If i want to downgrade my baseband version to original, how can i do that?
and oh, my phone is not rooted. Still using stock ROM.
thanks
I'm guessing you didn't do a factory data reset after update?
Reinstall firmware using kies, after it's done, turn on the phone, do a factory reset and then setup it as you would with new phone.
Optionaly you can make a backup with KIES before the upper ster, and after doing a factory reset, restore the backup. Or just copy/paste stuff you need (music, picture, etc)

No, i didn't. The update was via OTA. Ok, i will try it and see if it works, thanks. :fingers-crossed:
Hi.
I found later that the problem is not caused by Titanium Backup. It seems it would happen as long as I switch the phone to GSM/UMTS mode (Global Mode).
I have a Sprint M8 but live in the UK.
I have been using custom rom (most of the time with InsertCoin) since last October and I enjoyed them.
Yesterday I backup all my data with Titanium Backup and then upgraded the correct firmware to android 5.0 Lollipop. Afterwards I installed the InsertCoin Rom Sense 7.
Everything is fine before I restored system data and reboot into the system. After it loads the system, it seems OK for only 10 seconds, then a notification pop-up, saying:
Service Update:
The operation is not allowed under GSM network, please switch to CDMA network.
I can only click OK and then it seems normal.
But the problem is every time I reboot the phone, this notification appears. It is really annoying. I am wondering if there is any way to permanently disable it?
I have been using InsertCoin and ViperOne rom on this phone before, and it works very well with Titanium Backup. Previously, this notification did not appear after I restore data with Titanium Backup.
Thank you very much.
I got my HTC One M7 Dual SIM (t802w) phone back from service. Before I passed to the service I wiped my phone with factory recovery menu. I would like to restore my phone status from HTC Backup as it was before sent to service. Basically looks right (SMS, WIFI, calls restored) but when "restoring application" (or similar because I am using in Hungarian language) seems that goes into a loop saying "58 of 64" and start over and over again. At the same time application installation in progress. When application installation itself was ended the "restoring application" loop still happens. I go to the Google Play and there was around nine more update. I updated all. Then got still updates even Google Play says there is no upgrades, for example fot HTC Backup application itself. The mentioned loop still displaying "58 of 64" and start from "1 of 64". When upgraded HTC Backup the loop disappeared but restoring process is finished (or canceled). Then I am not able to run manually restoring process because the system says that my already restored. That means I lost (or was not able to restore) a lot of settings for applications. My widgets settings and my homepage setup gone (or was not able to restore).
Is there any known reason for this? Any process to solve this loop and able to restore my phone? It is very frustrating that I have backup and I cannot use therefore I need to setup all my application again.
I am using the latest stock HTC firmware and my device is not rooted. I found some topic similar to this but those are because there was some version or firmware changing. I am not like that I would like to restore exactly to the same firmware as it was.
