hey ppl, iam an owned of the HTC legend which i like quite much, nice design, funny to use etc. although i think its time to change it for something faster and i was wondering if u guyz can recommend me the milestone 2 which iam recently interested in. Can u plz ppl tell me what are the "+" and the "-" of the device, does it have a deep social integration, cuz the Legend does and i appreciated this alot. it synced my FB contacts with my sim card contacts, with their FB pics, profile photo, info etc, how is the menu like? what about the moto blur? CPU and RAM ? ( i know its 1ghz and 512 ram, but how does it work) hows the game experience, graphics, smoothness etc. Camera..?
thanks alot guyz, hope to receive 1 or 2 advices about it, and believe me, i read alot on the forums but i think the best opinion can be given by the true users, not the reviewer.
Regards, Ivan
Anyone who owns this device can tell me how this device handles tasks like browsing, Whatsapp, simple games like temple run, etc? Is there any lag while browsing? while moving between menus?

This device is smooth. I don't find any lag while surfing internet, using social media sites or gaming.
It's not heating up while using. Display is bright and touch is smooth. Don't expect excellent performance from this phone. But this phone is damn good at a low price.
I dont need excellent flagship performance. Just a good device that wont lag while browsing, simple gaming or scrolling. good to know that its doing its job well. I was only concerned because of the 2gb of RAM which I thought might not be enough because MIUI is heavy skin and I was afraid the device will lag because of that

Well i'm using this device for couple of months now & i'm yet to be disappointed. Sure, i was concerned about it's RAM but these devices are just great at RAM management but let me tell you, you'd get only around 900mb of the RAM to work around due to it's miui skin.
To sum up, it's a best buy for everyday tasks even for moderate gaming, like that of temple run & though miui is eating up a lot of resources… it's worth it.
If i was to purchase this, do i want the global one or the other one for north america?
Hello!
I'm thinking about buying Moto X4 with 4 GB of RAM, but after some research I found out, that RAM management on this phone is pretty bad. How it's looks in real life? How many apps wold I be able to keep in memory? Or maybe it was an issue only on specific Android version? Xiaomi Mi A1 probably don't have this problem, and can handle with 10+ apps running, but I don't know if I get used to that huge phone
Regards,
hello,
i've tied many roms based on android pie - all of them looks great, but get laggy. especially at facebook and fb messenger. reaction after a screen touch can be like 2-4 sec. later the touch, on ram usage in developer option i get like only 200-250 mb free.
is there any 9.0-rom that can run smoothly on 2/16 version of 4x?
or maybe there is a way to 'make roms lighter'?
any tips from 2/6 users?

Try syberia os or bootleggers os
Sent from my Redmi 4X using XDA Labs
syberia was the one of tested roms. fb and messenger were too laggy.
Facebook and Messenger are laggy by definition. I have Messenger Lite and use Facebook in the browser. If you're lucky you might even have the access to the progressive web app version. Much more secure
Anyway my Redmi 4X got second life with Syberia OS and I'm using it for gaming only.
Sent from my Mi A2 Lite using Tapatalk
In my opinion Facebook and Messenger are laggy.
Although i no longer use facebook but i never had facebook running smoothly on my Redmi 4X with any OS.
However on some rom it was little smooth but currently do not know if Facebook and Messenger would work smoothly or at least with little lag. also while using both of apps device heat u to.
Little not regarding Redmi 4X. in past i've tried using it on Redmi note 3 3GB/32GB variant and Redmi note 4X 4GB/64GB it still the same story.
Do not know about the performance devices with flagship snapdragon processors, if it is laggy there then its facebook issue maybe we can not do anything about it unless facebook fixes.
thanks for reply.
miui 10 (xiaomi.eu form Miui Polska, based od android 7) is my daily driver and fb and messenger works more fluently than on any pie-rom :|
so i think, that i should buy a new phone if i want to have andoid 9 on my device...

No, you don't have to buy new phone to use Android Pie there are several Official/unofficial ROMs available but if you are looking for good or better hardware with Pie then you should consider or else I don't think so there's need of buying a new phone(except if there's any hardware issue in your device)
Android Pie ROMs for Redmi 4X(santoni) are pretty much good and development is going great with updates.
Facebook app I am using since I got my first Android phone and till now it never worked fluidly however sometimes I do got some minor improvement here and there but not great at all.
I have seen several others also facing lag on this two apps. On my device this two apps combine used to take around 1.5 Gigabyte of storage which is more considering i have 2GB/16GB device.
Maybe Facebook and messager are storage, cpu, resource hungry apps and that's what causing issue.
I am very much sceptical about Facebook after security breach.
One notable thing is that on Android Pie the lag is on Facebook and messager and not on other apps. I have tried Facebook after seeing your post and yes Facebook still do lags and device gets warm.
Other than that it's your choice to buy new device or not.
Try Bliss rom by Tio Burla, is the best!
Hey, i am planning to purchase Redmi note 10 pro. Should I go for 8gb ram or 6gb ram variant?
Is 6gb ram varient enough for fb, whatsapp, content consumption? (Not gaming much)
Although this device has wide range of custom rom support. Is there any benefits for having 8gb ram while using custom rom in future?
sure, 6gb is more than enough. eventhough a lot of unused apps are still cached, i got 700mb free
First of all, you can go with 6GB RAM if do not play much games! And I suggest you to buy Redmi Note 10 Pro, because I am using this device myself.
Overall the device is loaded with great features.
But due to MIUI lagging issue, I moved to Pixel-UI. And I also use G-Cam for the highest resolution images.
As a high expectation user, I must say that, use the Redmi Note 10 Pro with Pixel-UI and G-Cam for the highest performance and smooth using.
And yes, with the 6GB of RAM variant is enough for medium use like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
