How to prevent auto-brightness when device is getting hot - Oreo - Huawei P10 Questions & Answers

Hey Guys,
the brightness of my P10 is automatically set to low, while using google maps - I guess it has something todo with the device temperature, cause it only happens after 10-15 mins and after a while its getting bright again.
Is there a way to "fix" this - its really anoying :x
Thanks a lot

Diamond wakes up overnight - what causes it?

I tried searching, honest.
A couple of times a week I would wake up and notice that the Diamond screen is on and of course the power level is low. Something is waking up the device in the middle of the night. Any ideas what it may be?
As far as I know I have no scheduled tasks:
- I don't even have email set up
- ActiveSync is completely manual
- I have klaxxon installed but no alarms set up
- no other alarms
- no scheduled backups
Is there a program that logs events on the PPC so I can see what causes it to wake up?
Hmm
Well maybe it needs to go to the bathroom or sumting?
Did you check if ur Broadcast channels or not on maybe? Under Phone/ Settings/More If its on it will happen if it switches to another reception tower
I have noticed this once or twice on both my Diamond and the girlfriend's Ignito, once I just happend to notice both screens come on at the same time and it was dead on midnight!! I couldn't explain it and to my knowledge it hasn't happened again on my Diamond but the ignito seems to do it once a blue moon!!
Rich
I shall stay up and watch it at midnight to see what happens.
Has anyone used acbtaskman? I read that it has logging capabilities which may shed some light on this.

nice pun there
when got incoming sms, diamond will wake up.
Maybe u had enable this feature.
maybe he wants some milk
i think if your phone loses signal and regains it, the screen will turn on. IF that's the case...why doesn't it turn off? So it might not be that... :/
if not SMS and not task something, maybe phone call by lovely girl every night when she thinking about u, and she close the call fast..

LED's malfunctioning

Heya everyone. I have noticed a weird issue on my Xperia SP. The LED's are acting weird since a lot of days. At first I thought it must be a temporary issue but it doesnt seem to go away. So let me state the problem exactly -
Whenever I play music, take a call or browse pics, the LED's turn on as they should. But the intensity of light is random everytime. Sometimes it is so dim that I cant see it and sometimes bright enough as I need it. Even when I am playing the same song at different intervals the light intensity is different. This is very very weird and bugs me. Any suggestions on how can fix this?
Try a factory reset.. It may help you to fix it but notice that every thing will be deleted

Pre-login background and settings

Hello everyone!
I switched from the S7 to the S10+. It came somewhat as a surprise to me that on restart, the phone seems fully logged out and nothing starts in the background. The applications start only when logging in. The annoying parts for me are:
* The always-on-display is different after restarting, not my prefered one
* The background before logging on is quite pink
* The fingerprint reader does not wake the phone screen (it doesn't log in either, but I'm okay with initial PIN-only login)
* Phone automation (Tasker) does not start before login
Does anyone know a way around these issues? Thanks for any tips in advance.
Doesn't feel like an issue to me. how often do you restart your phone?

Since I set automatic restarting on the phone, at least weekly. But I usually want a restart here or there otherwise too. I believe that a relatively minor inconvenience is an issue as well, if perhaps not the most important of them. Regardless of the priority consideration, I'd still like to understand the difference between the behaviour of the S7 and S10.

Not getting all notifications & auto brightness won't turn off?

Hi, I had a samsung s8+ and just got a new huawei p30 pro, used the phone clone software to transfer my files, that mostly went well, eveb though it said 100% transfered there was a good few apps that didn't seem to transfer onto my new phone.
anyway, since starting to use it properly, i am getting notifications for things like texts, but i havn't has any game notifications yet, i am still getting thm on my s8+ though but i have turned that off now anyway but they were still coming through.
I did notice a couple of apps have mentioned about a battery setting that restricts background data but from what i can see they all seem unrestricted.
also, i keep having to manually set the brightness of the phone and turn auto brightness off, then the next thing the screen looks really dark again, i check and its gone back to auto brightness?
any idea about these issues?
thanks
James

Request, module: turn on auto sync for a short period daylie

I am looking for a simple solution to turn on auto sync at a given time for a short moment like 5 mins.
I know there exist an app but i dislike have it running in the background the whole day.
Could there be a more efficient way to do the same with a magisk module ?
For it to work, you need to have something running all day in the background, otherwise it won't be able to know when it needs to toggle it on or off.
Anything running in the background like this will have next to no effect on batery.
@the_scotsman thanks for your answer.
Im not familiar with android but isnt there something like a cronjob which starts at a given time, does its job a single time and finish ? Then it could start at 22:00 enable auto sync and another job disables auto sync again 3 minutes later.
That would be a lot more efficient instead the app running in the background permanantly and what i suppose checking every second if the time is reached.
But if the consumption is really that small than i might have to live with it.
Do you have any suggestion maybe ? AutoSync app with certain interval or external power supply ? Or do there exist better options ?
