I have the HK model 64gb. So far I have found nothing regarding TWRP or rooting this device. Does anybody here know something? I just want to install TWRP and root my device.
Cheers.
I have the korean note 5 unlocked. The stock firmware and bootloader is n920sksu2drg3. Though I can get twrp to work without a hitch, I cant seem to find any kernals or compatable roms for it.
I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right directrion.
most of the custom international (C,G and I) roms will work. Had the S variant before and I have flashed many roms on the phone. If it does not list your variant as compatible, then best way to found out is to try.
Hope this helps
Hey guys,
It's been a while since I've done rooted or flashed any phones, but right now I have my Galaxy S9, and I want to flash the firmware to one that is unlocked. Right now it's locked to T-Mobile.
Is there any guide on here that can help me? What firmware/ROM should I use?
Thanks!
Tom
Get the latest U1 firmware from SamMobile and use a Patched Odin to flash it. Assuming you're on Snapdragon we have no way to unlock the bootloader or root. The only reason I flashed U1 Firmware was to get the Samsung Caller ID & Spam Protection that piece of **** Verizon blocks to try to get you to pay for theirs.
Hi! I've been looking quite a bit for a guide on how to at least get TWRP on my device so I could try some custom ROMs on here, but I can't find any recent guide that would work.
My Note5 is the international variant, N920C, on the latest officially available version of Android (7.0).
Figured it out, here's how to root a Note5 (N920C)
1. Flashed TWRP via Odin after enabling OEM Unlock in Developer Settings.
2. Booted straight into TWRP, flashed Samsung Anti-Root Removal.zip and Magisk.
3. Reboot into System normally.
