I have a Note 5 N920C. I'm trying to download the official OS (from Sammobile) to it, but it gets stuck on NAND WRITE START on Odin.
Additional Info:
The device is in a bootloop after the boot animation.
Also the Stock Recovery becomes unresponsive after 30 seconds of operation everytime. I have to do a manual reboot (Power + Vol Dn).
adb sideload, adb shell, adb logcat all unresponsive.
What can be the issue?

Maybe u should try to reset everything and then flash the original stock ROM again using odin. Sometimes it may help.

I'm also not get to recovery easily, I press DOWN+MENU+POWER but unlike the guides i need (after the phone reboot and i see the samsung galaxy logo) to press and release, press and release the POWER button and sometimes i got to the recovery and sometimes don't.
On 9001 you hold volume up, keep it pressed and switch on the device (press only 1 sec). After 5-7 sec you can release the volume button. If you have already CWM, you don't need to press any other button. If you still have stock recovery, then press menu button (not home!) only once when you see the box.

If you have a CWM is installed, and does not work - you can set a new Terminal_Emulator recovery.img, Tekt enter:
su
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13
After executing these commands will pop icon in a terminal window $
Hi,
How could i flash Custom ROM with Odin..
Because
1. I am not able to go into recovery mode by holding Volume up+Volume Down+Power Buttons
2. I could not reboot into recovery mode using adb commands (stuck at at&t screen)
3. I could not reboot into recovery by flashing any kernel with CWM.. obviously i have to use volume up+Volume Down+Power Buttons again :-(
I am able to flash stock ROM through ODIN 1 click downloader (currently on I897UCKI2)..and its the only way i could flash a ROM now..
So is there a way to install custom rom through ODIN ?
Please help...
If you can get into download mode (power off, hold V+/V-, insert USB), you can try flashing a ROM via Heimdall. Apex 12.5 has a package you can flash from Heimdall.
You can also try Mosaic 9, as that has an Odin-based installer package.

Hey,
I'm using samsung galaxy star s5282. I rooted this phone 2 days ago. Everything went good until today when i was i my class it suddenly switched off. When i rebooted it, it hang on the samsung logo.
I tried to boot into cwm recovery mode by pressing v+, home, power but it boots into default system recovery mode.
I again flashed cwm recovery many times using odin but it dosent work. Odin shows pass but when i reboot my phone in cwm recovery mode my phone enters in default system recovery mode.
What should i do please please please help.....
Note many devices will replace your custom recovery automatically during first boot. To prevent this, use Google to find the proper key combo to enter recovery. After typing fastboot reboot, hold the key combo and boot to TWRP. Once TWRP is booted, TWRP will patch the stock ROM to prevent the stock ROM from replacing TWRP. If you don't follow this step, you will have to repeat the install.
applies to all recoveries
cheers

Surenda 1863,
I had exactly the same problem and it took me almost one week of fiiddling and searching the Web to solve it.
The solution was in front me since day ONE : install ODIN on the PC !
In my case, I had I had accidentally wiped out the stock ROM and the tablet was hopelessly frozen on the download mode. I couldn't turn it off to boot it back with any of the usual buttons ( Volume , Home, Power)
I made the wrong assumption that since my PC didn't see the tablet, it couldn't connect to Odin either . I was wrong!
Here is what you have to do:
1. Install Odin on your PC. Connect the tablet to it. You will see that Odin sees the tablet because there will be a caption saying "added" on the top left.
2. Press the AP tab button at the right to go to the location where your Stock ROM is. The stock ROM file will have an MD5 ending.
3 Once the file is loaded (next to the AP button) just press Start. You will see the DOWNLOAD bar gradually filling up on the tablet and at the top left of ODIN.
4. When the operation is terminated, you will see a caption " PASSED" at the top left of he Odin screen and the tablet will automatically boot up to the HOME screen.
As simple as this! I didn't even have to worry about flashing the TWRP ( or CWR) recovery system, probably because the OS ROM was already wiped out. May be your case is different. I only know that in my case it worked like a charm.

Your Bootloader is messed up.
1. Goto Downloadmode
2. Extract AriesVE.ops from Ariesve.zip and Insert AriesVE.ops @OPS in Odin
3. extract boot_loader.tar from bootloader.zip and insert boot_loader.tar in Odin @BOOT
4. Flash
Reboot and it should boot to Android

First powerdown, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT.SD card, press power button for a minute, than powerup without SIM and Ext.SD Card....
Try a solution from My Android Solutions
(Do remember to backup your contacts, data, images etc and also your EFS folder before flashing a ROM and make sure you have more than 50% battery charge before you attempt any sort of flashing.)

Dear friend,
I have the same problem as the Author. I installed CMW v5.5.0.4 so I flash cyanogen ICS.
Anyway, I entered Downloadmode, I connected to Odin and did as you said.
As a result, when the phone is shut down
a. When I press the power button, "Samsung" logo appears, and then black screen forever. Then I remove battery.
b. When I press Vol Up + Power button, it enters CMW (but when I select "Reboot now" it goes samsung-blackscreen like"a"
c. When I press Vol down+power+home key, it goes to downolad mode (I did a 2nd time what you suggested, but Nothing improved).
Please help, I am desperate.

I've put the cwn 6.0 and the problem is gone now, no loop,...works fine, ..i've tried some games/apps, and it seams that not all of them are working ,..but it's ok , the root and the ICS will do
i9001 bootloop
this is the only thing it worked for me:
Put this file on sdcard
Load it via recovery with "install from sdcard"
it will automatically reboot the phone
once solved, copy to sdcard and restore attached stock recovery.img or don't reboot into recovery again, as it will bootloop again:
from within phone, start terminal emulator and type:
su <enter>
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13 <enter>
of course, needs root
---
i installed supposed "stable" twrp 2.2.1 and it produced bootloop into recovery
don´t know if last twrp 2.4.1.0 or cmw 6.0.3.7 for stock roms will solve it but i won't try, i restored stock recovery.img from a backup i made with "online nandroid backup"
bootloop is veeeeeeery common in i9001, the fix above that worked for me erases (fills with zeros) param partition mmcblk0p14, a partition for temporary commands that non-stock recoveries don't erase before rebooting and cause bootloops

AMAZING!!! You are a lifesaver. :highfive:
I had bricked my Galaxy S Plus after flashing TWRP which caused a recovery bootloop. I tried using download mode to reflash bootloader using Odin but my PC said "USB device not recognized". I tried tons of drivers, factory resets/system format(which was a bad decision), different cables and even PCs but I couldn't get my device recognized at all. I thought the phone was a paperweight now but I finally found your post and successfully booted my phone to unofficial CM12 without any problems!
Thanks a lot once again!!:good:
haha
perfect it worked for you! another smartphone saved!!
nice my explanation helped you!
you are welcome
Here is my situation..
- My Note soft-bricked, keep looping the samsung logo.
- Power Button broken, tried solder new button, but not working, seems the power circuit got faulty.
- I can enter download mode
- Tried flash different rom with/without pit through odin, still same
- adb can't find device while bootloop
I think the bootloop can be solved by wiping the cache, but the problem is I can't enter recovery mode.
Please help..thanks.

I manage to solve my problem after trying several days.
Here is my solution, in case there is any people facing the same problem. Hope it helps
- Download KJ1 ROM (d-h.st/HJM) and flash through ODIN.
- ADB is able to access even though in bootloop condition
- it come with CMW 5 that able to select using HOME button in stead of POWER button
- After flashing the ROM through ODIN, access ADB while Samsung logo shown up.
- Command:
adb devices
adb reboot recovery
- Then you will able to access to CMW 5 Recovery, you can do full wipe and install a working ROM there..
- Done..
Hello,
I have flashed twrp over Odin and it works well, flashed custom room too, everything was super fine but after i restart the phone
Got stuck in twrp logo
Can't go to download mode or boot to system either.
Tried to hard restart power + vol - then after restart press power vol - bixby but same issue.
Download mode won't launch neither recovery.
Picture of the problem in the attachment
Please any solution?
first you flashed the wrong version of twrp according to your attachment, in my opinion you have to reflash everything and you can follow this tutorial and I hope it helps you

Sorry but i don't think it'll boot first time or even i could flash custom rom from it if the recovery wasn't compatible.
After the twrp everything was fine, and i got access to twrp recovery and flash custom room without any problems.
First bot was fine, but after 2 consecutive restarts
This issue occurred .
And can't make it to download mode now, so I can't flash stock or anything.
I mean the correct version to flash android 13 it is twrp v 3 7 0 9 0 if not the phone hangs at twrp logo.
now to put back on download mode you have to do this manipulation
1/ connect your phone to your pc with the USB cable then press bixbi and power (between 5 and 7 seconds) and when the phone goes black at this moment don't let go of bixbi and power you have to press the volume button -
I hope it will go.
