Hello friends... I currently have a Moto G4, but am thinking about moving up to a G5s. I have searched some in these forums, but if you do not mind, please tell me your experiences. Mainly, I have seen a good price on a XT1805 which I believe is actually a European model. Will it work well in the US? I use Cricket which works off of AT&T towers, I believe. Thank you for your input.

If it works on cricket then there you go. I use straight talk that works off of Verizon. I have the US model XT1806.

If I'm not mistaken, the Moto web site has a carrier compatibility chart. Well, U.S. site so maybe not. The XT1806 is not even fully compatible with AT&T or Cricket.
Checking a couple of other places for the XT1805.
FrequencyCheck shows 100% for 2G thru 3.5G (4G speed) but no LTE at all. AT&T/Cricket.
WillMyPhoneWork, sadly, doesn't even have the G5S Plus.
GSM Arena shows these supported bands. You might want to check which of these the carrier uses.

Amazon user reviews of this model with some U.S. carriers has not been good. I didn't go through a lot looking for comments specific to your carrier.
Yet another shot from FrequencyCheck. From last year.
I'm thinking the experience might not be too good.

Hi all, looking to get a Galaxy S, saw this post. Should I wait and see whether they arrive here?
"Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular all decided to give their respective versions of the Galaxy S fancy trademarks, but not lil' Cellular South: the regional is just sticking with Sammy's original name for a change of pace. This would also seem to be the closest North American Galaxy S to its European cousin, featuring the standard industrial design and what appears to be a fairly stock TouchWiz load (if you can really call TouchWiz "stock") atop Android 2.1. Oh, there is one nice bonus, though: this version's got an LED flash for the 5 megapixel camera, a feature many variants left out. It includes a 16GB microSD card pre-installed to complement the 2GB of internal storage, and it's available right now for $199.99 on contract after a $50 rebate. Follow the break for the full press release."

Ken
Verizon's Galaxys S model also comes with with flash so will only be availble on their network, but afaik verizon don't offer a mobile network in the UK??? Best bet is buy an unlocked version on ebay. Also a big thing with the Verizon model is that Microsoft must have paid them some big bugs as the default search widget uses Bing
Also if you look at the image below of verizon "Samsung Continuum a Galaxy S phone" notice the ticker display the only and first phone to ever offer such

Hello all -- I wanted to ask anyone with the HTC Developer Edition if the handset works on AT&T's LTE network? I know that it supports the 700 MHz band which ATT uses - but it does not support their 1700 MHz band. I was slightly confused with the "AWS" Term however. HTC One Dev edition does support "AWS" LTE but is AWS a band or some kind of connectivity protocol? AT&T supports the AWS band and so does the phone. All in all my question is if I buy the Dev edition and use it on AT&Ts network will I have good LTE connectivity?
Does this answer your question
I went to an AT&T store this morning and did a side by side comparaison with the AT&T on and the numbers were the same.
I just got my dev edition this morning and I put the SIM from my HTC ONE X.
The only difference is AT&T version says 4gLTE while the dev says LTE.

I have an unlocked Phone running on VZW. Should I expect that at some point I will get VoLTE.....or should I just return it while I can and get a VZW version?

Did that a month ago. Waiting for the update 5.1 to be able to use it

Running stock 5.1 now on motorola-purchased phone. My VZW account is provisioned for "advanced calling" but not seeing it function on the phone at this point. I know my Droid Turbo was pushed a VZW update when VoLTE was available. I assume that is not supposed to be the process on a N6.

Try following the instructions in these threads. I have it currently working on 5.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/video-verizon-nexus-6-volte-t3052537
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/verizon-volte-problem-solution-t3052877
Also the VoLTE feature only works for Verizon to Verizon calling and with other phones that have the feature. The best part of the update is the simultaneous Voice/Data capabilities.
When the links were first published for 5.1, I flashed and installed the update through fast-boot and I am currently on 5.1 successfully. I have a t-mobile sim and I purchased this device from them. Today, they are pushing the 5.1 update which is the same as what I already have, but in addition, they are adding VolLTE. Now Im not sure if I already have that due to previously flashing it, or am I supposed to re-flash the T-Mobile variant of 5.1. Anyone have any input?
volte is voice over lte, making and receiving calls on lte. do you have volte?

when you make a phone call, does the phone stay on lte or does it change to H or 3G during the call?

Never-mind, I looked around and apparently the build number for the nexus 6 t mobile carrier is different (LMY47M). And Yes, its LTE. So i guess I just have to wait till the new factory images are posted to Google and then eventually side-load the update.
Hi I bought the s20 Fe(SM-G781U1) from the United States through a friend as I wanted the Snapdragon variant of the phone. I currently reside in India and I'm having network issues with my local sim provider not to mention the lack of call recording features the Indian s20 fe enjoys. Recently samsung has launched 5G Snapdragon varaint in India as well. I was hoping get some guidance and help from the forum on how to switch the ROM to the Indian Snapdragon variant. Thank you!
You can't flash a different ROM on your phone. Get rooted with Magisk, install edxposed, there's modules that can enable call recording features. Info is out there in the forums here. Use search.
he bought an American version of the phone so (currently) he'd need to pay someone running a bootloader unlock service before he could root it.
it might be worth contacting Samsung about your problem if you can prove the sale with a receipt. they might take mercy on you and arrange for it to be flashed to Indian firmware, no guarantees but worth trying. find out from your network which frequencies you need with them. I've never tried it but back in the day there was some method thru which you could activate frequencies
