Hello,
I have a BYD car, model S1 (Yuan), the radio was developed in China so it have some limitations for example didn't have Google play store, services, etc.
It's really limited to "Baidu". The actual version of Android is 4.2.2 and we are looking for any way to upgrade the radio to something really cool. I guess my goal is to include Android Auto to the radio at some point.
So, any suggestions where to start? a friend of fine already took the radio down of one of the cars and were able to upgrade the Android version to 6.2, however the main issue is that is not recognizing the cameras (1 on the back and 1 on the right side of the car) any ideas?

Hi aaron0989
Sorry to bump and old post, but I have the same car.
Do you still have this car? Were you able to upgrade it?
If you did, Can you explain the procedure?
The thing with the cameras must be something related to a physical connection.
Regards,
W

Just updated to the new 4.4 maps and navigation for Canada seems to be disabled again. Anyone else having this problem??
I just updated my google maps to ver. 4.4 and Navigation is working fine for me. You may want to completely uninstal and reinstall the app see if that fixes your problem.
Works fine in the UK.

works fine for me
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I think it's a software switch on Google's side that's misbehaving.

Were you under trees? If so, the GPS on most phones is not sensitive or accurate and tree cover will greatly throw it off. Stand out in the open, not near any trees or large buildings, then compare.

Looks like he's trying to have it locked while in the building - which might also throw it off.

Just got my new Galaxy note. And I cant find the FM radio app that
is suppose to be on this phone. What am I missing?
It is suppose to be a international unlocked version, but I see a lot of ATT apps on the phone.

I'd check the ROM version, and consider upgrading/flashing the latest e.g. official version
In case you did Flash a ICS-Rom you won´t find any Radio App.
You could try Spirit FM. It´s the only ICS-App that works.
But it´s not easy to configure and it´s not guarantied that you will get it to work.
Might Google for working settings in that app.

Does your phone have a big hardware home button with a capacitive button on either side; or does it just have four light-up capacitive buttons under the screen?

As far as I know, the Galaxy Note I717, doesn't really have an FM Radio build on the device....
you might be better off getting the international version if you want to have the FM radio right off the bat....
what is your phone model written on the box? GT-N7000 ?

There are supposed to be ZERO at&t apps on a genuine international note. You've been had. The best sign is as stated that the N7000 has physical buttons and not simulated, onscreen ones.

I have a tesla style unit. I have been reading all over the android auto forums to understand where i can begin, but no luck. I read that units are either MTCB or MTCD (or at least most of the times). But when i go to (About) in my unit, I can't find anything about this. Please see the picture attached and help me look for the right info in the forums.

Well where did you buy it? Do you know the manufacturer name or anything else?

I asked my brother to buy it for me from Dubai since its about 30-40% cheaper than my country's price. My brother lost the warranty paper so i have no way of getting in touch with the store he bought it from. The store is in a mall where there are hundreds of stores and it's impossible to find the store by Google maps or Google search.
Does the picture attached not give any information about the device?
My problem with the device is i can't change the backlight brightness at all. If i can get this to work, I'd be happy.
In the picture attached, the sliders don't work at all.
I did a bit of searching around, seems others have had the same questions about this headunit. But my google-fu is apparently not strong enough, so I couldn't find an answer for you

Hey guys,
I have a new Hyundai Ioniq electric 2020 and they upgraded the screen to an 10.5" wide screen. However AA still only uses the left part, the right part being wasted with just the AA logo, like this:

"lightbox_share": "Share",

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Is there any way at all to make AA take up the whole screen ?
Thanks.
That's got nothing to do with wireless. It's all about the screen size the car reports to AA. Ones which do it properly work as expected. Ones that don't are like that. Daimler (Mercedes Benz) had/has a similar issue. AA does support widescreen.

Change DPI and resolution. Try some different values.
Good luck.

Yes I screwed up the title, meant to say "widescreen" not "wireless". Can't seem to edit the title though.

So, I have two of these T-Mobile devices. One of them originated from australlia, and another one has an unknown origin. So, the one with unknown origin makes me think that it is a prototype model. It has a weird custom android 1.6 firmware, and it lacks any safety notes, model names and notes in general under the battery, while the second one is bloated with them. I will attach a photo of both devices side by side on this thread. (the one with minimal text is what im curious about)

Instead of a prototype, it may be a clone (IDK).
Can you what do you mean with "weird custom android 1.6 firmware"? That's the only really useful info.
maybe it was made by a unknown man. all of that pieces taked from different places (ex: locations like one for a samsung board or nand memory). if you know about repair the entire device of something i can think you will know what happens really easy.
