Any help with this? I rooted & installed CWM on my Wildfire with no issues, but it seems like this phone's a tough nut. Can't start it up now, screen keeps flickering if I try to turn it on, don't think it can even boot up.
Your prompt reply is much appreciated!

Okay so first I downloaded the OPS, Gingerbread firmware and ODIN. Then I installed Kies for drivers, and then I opened ODIN, inserted the OPS and Gingerbread firmware file, started the process.
Somehow when it came to the reboot part, the phone just kept rebooting (screen lights up, turns off, pause, repeats again) and it hasn't worked since.
Then now there's an error with setup connection which presumably has something to do with the drivers, so I reinstalled it but now setup connection keeps occurring...
Okay, now, I tried doing the whole process again... I'm stuck at 'Close serial port and wait until rebooting' as the phone constantly flickers on and off repeatedly with no sign of anything going on.
Somebody please help :/

Yup, 4.31, TASS v1.0 as OPS. S5570DXKPD_S5570OLBKPD for the firmware.
Problem now is I think the flashing works.. but somehow, the phone is somehow corrupt in a way that boot is not possible - nothing's possible except download mode.
I haven't played around with Samsungs, mostly HTCs so this is uncharted territory for me.

Yup, firmware from Sammobile.com. Problem is while installing GB. Will trying to install CWM first at least alleviate some of the problem?
In fact... I can't even boot into the original recovery. All that happens is the phone boots... and goes into an insane loop. Can't do anything else other than that.
Thanks guys..
download again the firmware Nd retry.. till downloading mode works you are safe.. in general section FAQ post there is link and guide

Doing that right away.
Is it normal for the phone to flicker on and off during the flash process, and after the flash process is complete, with ODIN showing PASS?
Okay, so installing a multi package firmware didn't work either. Now what. )': at wit's end here.
It won't flicker.
And when it's done it'll show pass.

Hi, I have a stock note5 SM-N920C DUOS from XSG region. Suddenly all apps started crashing and when I tried to factory reset it went to recovery & said "DM-Verity Verification failed". I did a factory reset in recovery but that did not fix the app crashing problem. This phone was stock, absolutely no changes & I was the first buyer who took it out of a factory sealed box.
I then tinkered with different things and thought if I loaded a custom ROM maybe the app crashing issue will be fixed and downloaded IOLO 4 with arter kernel. After loading the recovery and flashing the rom through philz recovery my phone would not boot. so I downloaded the stock rom from samfirmware and loaded it through odin and my phone is back to the original problem where apps are crashing again and stock recovery says "DM-Verity verification failed". Please advise what to do as I am really worried as my phone is out of warranty now & I don't have the money to buy another phone.
PLEASE HELP !!
Please help!
I would just like to add that if I restart the phone the boot up samsung music gets interrupted and the phone stays in the boot loop for about two tries and is finally able to boot up in the try when the boot music plays all the way to the end.

Yes the stock kernel should be included in the stock firmware you downloaded from Sammobile. To make sure that your phone is flashed with the correct firmware, use SmartSwitch. You just have to give it your model number and IMEI number and it will make sure you've got the right version for your phone.
If that doesn't work , try calling Samsung and having them guide you through the process. Don't tell them you're rooted or they likely wont help you.

Can I install N920C stock ROM on AT&T N920A mobile
I would like to know if it is possible to install one model's stock ROM on another without any problem.
I have an AT&T SM-N920A mobile which is rooted on lollipop. So I am not getting any OTA updates. If I install N920A Marshmallow stock ROM, it will carrier lock my device which I don't want as I am living in middle east.
Need advice from all the techies around here...

Fw package is just short for firmware package and here it is in a nutshell, i believe at&t has locked bootloader, that being the case you can't flash a custom recovery like twrp to allow you to flash the rom only, which means you're sick with two options 1)anything Odin-flashable or (maybe)2. Adb push if you turn on USB debugging....that said, you don't sound like someone comfortable with using Linux to connect via adb and run command line terminal commands to push files and set permissions, not to mention some things will require root- so I'm gonna say, really, your only option is Odin, so unless you can find a full set of PIT files and are competent recovering from Odin errors and repartitioning your device i wouldn't even recommend that...anything short of that, or a factory supplied repair bootloader isn't going to allow odin to flash firmware for another device variant (eg A to C)...and even the repartitioning trick is hit or miss, I've seen successes and failures, but one thing for sure, 2 things for certain- you need to be capable of recovering from odin flash errors and possibly even corrupt partitions before attempting any of this...i would sell my device and buy a variant of your choosing before i bricked it...unless you're comfortable taking a LOT of time to read for about 3 months and flash after new years when everything I've just said fits together like puzzle pieces.....fwiw...

---------- Post added at 12:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:09 AM ----------
If I'm wrong and you have an unlocked bootloader than just flash latest supersu in odin then latest twrp, reboot to recovery with the button combo, and use twrp to flash whatever rom-only or rom/kernal package you want...flashing in recovery doesn't touch (usually) your bootloader or modem (ril) layers (partitions) like a factory odin full firmware does....this is why it's often necessary to upgrade by odin before flashing certain roms you'll find on xda...anytime the bootloader has to be updated (and that's usually any new factory firmware "base" to be released) out takes an odin flash to do it...then reroot, install twrp again, etc etc...

I have no idea what is happening so I hope someone here can help me.
I came home today and realized that my phone didn't automatically connect to the wifi, and it forgot the password. This seemed a little suspicious because I rooted my Note 5 and installed Xposed the night before but didn't do anything major that could affect the phone in such a drastic way. This kept happening so I thought I'd do a factory reset. When that was done and my phone booted, it started lagging and I'm having frequent lag spikes now. I started re-downloading my apps but every time I retried they stopped at 100%. There was also a permanent notification saying that "unauthorized actions have been detected". I tried to flash the stock firmware with odin but odin doesn't recognize my phone and I don't know what to do now.
Thank you in advance.

Yes after successfully flashing stock firmware using odin your problems will be solved as stock firmware will be installed on your phone without any root access...Though you can root your phone again but no surety that problems your facing now will come again or not after rooting again( Depends upon how successfully you root your device and which type of apps your running on your device) Caution:-flash firmware for your specific phone model with proper country csc, otherwise you will mess up with efs folder and your device...So before flashing search on forum how to flash stock firmware using odin and follow step by step process..*DO IT ON YOUR OWN RISK* Just search for process of flashing stock firmware using odin..You need-pc,device,usb cable, odin,Samsung drivers installed on your pc,latest official firmware for your device and country..(http://www.galaxynote5update.com/galaxy-note5-stock-firmware/) Refer this link.If this link shows doesn't support your country, then just go to note 5 stock firmware update section through tab..
