I have tried and used well over 20 custom roms. And there seem to be one thing common with all of them. Booting, turning off, turning screen on and off, Opening with fingerprint (same as turning screen on) takes ages. well over one second. So Im asking you is it by you also or am I going crazy?
The only time I remember it being snappy was the kitkat days with Galaxy s3 and s4
Now im testing it lineageos 15 and resurection remix 5.8.5 and 6 with my oneplus 3 and Galaxy s5 and with all of them all turning screen of and on takes well over a second longer. Also turning off the phone takes several seconds longer.
Here are my devices. Im not new in with custom roms.
Samsung Galaxy S4
Samsung Galaxy Ace 3
Samsung Galaxy S III I9300
Samsung Galaxy S5
OnePlus 3
Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2
LG G5
Honor 7
I found the reason for the screen turning off time is affected with "animator scale" in the advanced settings. when you turn it lower like 0.5 the screen turns off fast again. but the screen turning on is still anoyingly slower than with stocks

Guys
I have a new galaxy tab and got the recent update as well from 10 days ago. I've used an ipad before and the auto brightness worked very well. However, with the galaxy tab it keeps changing during the day time when there's consistent sunshine coming into the room (not directly though) and also at night with my CFL's turned on. Has anybody else noticed that? I see a plethora of apps to handle this and allow easy adjustment of brightness level but I thought auto-brightness should be an easy function to implement which Samsung hasn't pulled off well
Any solutions?
Thanks
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 from T-Mobile SGH-T889 and a Gear Neo 2, I had tuned the Neo display on as I wanted to see Weather info, and display stayed on for the preset time but?.... I had accidentally rubbed up against my arm of which made the Neo go to random undetermined areas as I was not viewing it at the time but it made my Galaxy Note 2 make a sound and turn off the Bluetooth?, I don't have any apps to turn of or manipulate anything on my Galaxy Note 2 like WiFi, BT Trigger type "Apps"and such... I just got this Neo 2 recently so not much on it except a new Clock Face so basically Stock...
Has anyone experienced something like this? any help will be appreciated as I wish to avert this from happening again.
A couple of months ago I got a Samsung Galaxy S3 (SHV-E210K, the Korean one) and after that I have been facing some problems. While using the phone, randomly the screen blacks out but one can still hear the noise from the song if it is being played at that time..... The physical buttons work in that condition everytime...... To bring the screen up I first have to lock the device and then unlock it again.......and its driving me crazy......any ideas how to fix it......
Srsly..????!! No replies.....
Hey is everyone busy with the newer models and nobody gives a damn about the old awesome phones....
So I rooted my galaxy note 8 and everything was fine until at some point my screen started to flicker and it is super random. Sometimes it flickers after 10 minutes of use sometimes I can use it 2 hours until it starts to flicker. And I don't think it's a hardware problem because I never had that problem before I rooted my phone. Any suggestions?
I have two a71, one has a problem. It died now two times. It goes all black and competely dead. Reacts to nothing. First timw it dies i sent it to service and it returned with note that it was all normal when it arrived there. So it wqs working fine for almost two months and died again. Completely dead. So its again at service.
The point of this is that i took s9+ as a replacement and i see two major thing that makes me want to change my phone. Fingerprint on s9 is acurate and instantaneus and fingerprint on q71 is just crap, most of the time it takes me few tries to unlock and sometimea i cant. So, a sec or two to a few seconds, its infuriating.
Other thing is camera, s9+ camera app is way more inteligent. Is there a way to port/use a s9+ camera app on a71?
Thanks
I'm almost certain it's not as easy as just using the S9+ camera app on the A71 and instantly getting better processing. If I had to guess, I'd say that the whole framework inside the S9+ as well as the libs meant for the SoC all combine to get better results on the S9+ (since it was a flagship obviously).
