Hi guys,
I'm not receiving any updates for my Note 8 (Model: SM-950F/DS). The phone says that the latest updates have already been installed.
Android security patch level is still on 1 August 2017

So, what's the problem and how do I get updates?
Looks you are OXM csc, should receive the security patch if May.
Probably you can try check the update with smart-switch.

Firstly please note,
i might be wrong.? with my assumption below?
Anyway when i did not received any OTA, i realized that i had to "align" (same) CSC
I had to flash my correct latest (handset) service provider software to sort it out.
if i look at your CSC it's ...... DBT/DBT/BRI
Apparently CSC.. ... /.... /BRI , is "hardcore". You cannot change that/original CSC ?
Now I'm on CSC.... XFV (Vodafone /Vodacom)
Only when i managed to "align"
my CSC to " XFV/XFV/XFV" i again started to received OTA again.
I'm on May Security patch.
See screenshots.
Now as i stated above. I might be wrong
but this is the only way i managed to get my
OTA sorted out..
Above method worked for me.
Good luck

Mind to state your C (regional code)?
PRA-LX1C432, now i installed B201 from firmware finder, but in system information write B175.
it is not a problem if the phone is still functional and is working just as usual

Currently running Baseband Version N960USQU1CSC1, Android Security Patch level: March 1, 2019.
I have never received an OTA update since buying my phone in Aug 2018. For the Android Pie update and all updates since, I have been performing them via ODIN.
Neither AT&T not Samsung have been able to troubleshoot this issue. Appreciate any help on how I can setup my phone to receive OTA updates.
Thanks!

The new firmware is in another post. Just Odin and you'll be current.
I have unlocked on AT&T , and just got the April update this morning, all OTA. Never had to Odin the updates , but definitely not as quick as the carrier branded models. I have only added the APN names when I got the phone(preorder so August 2018) and that's the only setting I changed.
Didnt think flashing instead of waiting for OTA would cause any troubles, but Samsung is sneaky sometimes. Have you thought that maybe you flashed the incorrect files, maybe carrier vs unlocked? Also, factory wipe and reset ? I know the pie update did some screwy things for me and it seemed better after a wipe .

Hello,
I have refurbished unlocked Note 8 and recently when checking for updates realised it hasn't received any security updates since Sept 2018 but says it's up to date. When further investigating with Phone Info app it showed following message on Refurbishment check: It looks like the firmware has been modified. Your phone doesn't have active CSC code, CSC version and CSC country.
When searched the imei number it says it's been made in India, I live in Europe. Do you have any advice what can I do? I read I could flash stock firmware but how do I find the right one? Should I do it for the country I live in or the one phone has been manufactured for? I haven't done anything like this and I don't want to brik my phone. Any help is much appreciated
I'm trying to look for the OTA update to update my Note9, which is running on N960USQU1CSA7 baseband version. I can't seem to find it anywhere though, the baseband version isn't listed on firmware science either. Any help would be appreciated
Baseband version: N960USQU1CSA7
Security patch level: January 1st 2019
Build number: PPR1.180610.011.N960USQU1CSA7
While I persumably have your attention, might as well ask this
Using Odin can I flash USC (USA Unbranded) region firmware to my device? The device is an AT&T carrier version so it's region is ATT.
If I was to update, either by OTA or by flashing with Odin, how do I avoid losing any data on the phone? I have backed up my important files but wish to avoid the hassle of setting up my device again.
