It is, not sure if it's a system app though, if it is you'll need titanium or a root uninstaller.
If not then just uninstall.
You can't uninstall the SwiftKey without root. But you can deactivate in the setting.

Hi guys,
I've just recieved an update notification on my phone for .233. Don't plan to update just yet, but the icon in the status bar won't disappear.
Any ideas please?
Hi, if You have root, just freeze update service with TitaniumBackup
Sent From Xperia T - Tapatalk2
I have Titanium backup, but I am not sure I have seen an option to freeze apps. What is that option called and where is it? Is that only on the paid version?

Open TB.
click on backup/restore at the top
Scroll to the required app
press the app and click freeze.
I have a feeling it is only for the paid version though.
The app RootAppDelete will do the job for you, free of charge
In the sys-app menu, scroll down to UpdateServices or similar and disable.
It will not be deleted, only disabled. Root access required.
will give that a go, too many ppl are complaining about wifi or other in 223, so will stick with 195 until JB in a few weeks.

THANKS a bunch worked like a charm
I did not want to delete it, so just used ES manager to stop it running at startup. Much easier solution
Has anyone who has had handcent installed on their Z experienced that more often than not it keeps force closing? Is this more likely to be down to the app itself and not the device?
I have used handcent with all my other android phones and have never encountered this issue on such a regular basis.
Many thanks..
I use Handcent every day, and no FC at all, sorry

I don't have stamina mode on. More often than not it force closes when I go into handcent settings to make some adjustments and kicks me out.
Very frustrating, as I use no other messaging app but handcent.
I know it's a silly question but have you uninstalled & re-installed it? Any difference?
I use it without problem. Only app I have issues with is CoPilot - it does not like the screen resolution.
Go to application manager and clear cache. It may help

I use handcent too and have had no FC's. I use stamina mode but have not white listed it...

Excuse my ignorance, but where do I find application manager?
Maddoguk,
Yes, have uninstalled handcent twice but still the issue remains.

Is it application settings that I'm looking for as opposed to application manager, as I can't find that? If so, cache is greyed out so won't let me clear it

If you're rooted, freeze Google keyboard with titanium backup.
If not, you can try disabling it in settings, apps.

Is anyone having problems disabling this app after the 5.1.1 update?

Not sure, since mine was disabled before the update and remains disabled.
Did you factory reset?
Never mind. Figured it out. Doesn't let you disable from application manager. I disabled from the app drawer running the touch wiz laumcher. Should have tried that the first time but I was using Nova as a launcher.
