Hi ! I've recently bought Nillkin wireless charger receiver for my OnePlus 3.
It works, that is, it charges the phone with >600mA, but for some reason my phone 99% of the time never shows that it is actually charging. I mean, the battery icon doesn't show that it's charging, and it doesn't say Charging on the lockscreen.
I wouldn't care about this normally, but this prevents my phone from automatically updating over night, or uploading Google Photos, or anything other that happens only while the phone is on charger. Is there any way to fix this?
I've tried one other tag, and it worked the same - the phone was getting the charge, but the system didn't recognize it as connected on the charger.

Hi!
I have a strange problem: sometimes when I connect the charger (mains outlet) to the Diamond it does not charge. Sometimes it it also does not indicate that the power is plugged in, other times it indicates charging but the battery level does not increase.
If I go to battery settings, tick then untick the checkbox "Do not charge when USB is..." it suddenly starts to charge but sooner or later the charging stops again.
Soft reset usually helps. Is there any patch for this?
EDIT: I noticed it mostly happens when I use the Diamond as a Bluetooth modem. If I stop the connection it starts to charge. Maybe bluetooth consumes so much power that it cannot get enough from the power adapter?
Honestly, I found I had this exact issue. I was not using any applications though, it was simply a bad charger.
Have you tried to duplicate this with just using a USB cable to PC?
I found out it is due to overheating. I was using the Diamond in my car, plugged into the car charger. However, the device turned itself off and would not charge. It was a hot morning. I put a hat over the phone to prevent the sun from shihing at the phone and directed the air cooler of the car to the phone. After a few minutes it started to charge.
The brand new charger I got with my Diamond was defective, i tried an older usb charger from my TyTN II and its been fine since.
Hi,
I have a new and flawless Note, the USB connector is OK.
At night I connect the Note to the charger and I put some music on to fall asleep. Playback is configured to just play one album once.
Normally I put the phone in Flight Mode, in order to sleep without unnecessary radiation next to me.
On some few occations (it happend to me for like 5 times now), in the morning, the phone is not charged at all! But I am 100% sure that the battery status icon on the top bar signaled the charging mode.
This morning it happend again and I noticed that I left the Flight Mode off (because my wife is away and I want to stay in contact if needed).
Also, I noticed that I have been using a ZTE charger specked with 750mA, while the original Samsung Galaxy Note charger is rated 1000mA.
Can it be, that I was using the ZTE charger on its limit and that having apps running, or maintaining flight mode off, was enough to actually not being able to deliver that extra juice to charge the battery?
The other reason could perhaps be a software problem, like some app draining the battery as much as the charger is able to charge, so in the end the battery stays more or less the same.
I am positive that the USB port is not broken. I.E. I tested by unplugging and plugging the charger from the wall socket instead from the phone and all is recognized OK. Also, no issues when connecting to the PC.
What is odd: on previous occations I think I remember that I just plugged the phone back and it charged.
I swapped the chargers, but still I have this odd impression, fearing that the device might have an issue.
Anyone had similar problems?
Cheers,
vma
Yes, looks like a weak USB charge problem. You get similar behaviour if you try to charge the device from a PC - sometimes I have mine plugged in to my PC at work all day and it barely charges. Get home, put the official charger from Samsung in from a walk socket and it charges in an hour or two max.

HI all,
C6903 would previously charge using an official Sony dock cord. Yesterday, however, the phone started making the 'phone flat' beepjng noise (it was close to flat), so plugged into the dock to charge. The beeping continued every few seconds, the screen rotation started playing up (I do have a screen rotation lock that hasn't been a problem) and the phone won't fully charge (the charge symbol is there, just keeps dropping. The error message "the connected power source is not sufficient. The battery is draining faster than it is charging. Minimise device usage while charging" popped up. It does charge VERY slowly if the phone is off airplane mode and the screen is off (it charged approx 30% in 10 hours, this way).
No rogue apps, etc. I reset to factory settings and the problem is still there. Phone charges fine using standard micro-usb.
Here in the NL, the carrier (KPN) send your phone away for minimum 2 weeks (& will not give you a replacement), and they will likely just test with the standard USB charger, which is fine.
Anyone experienced this & any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Adam
sounds like the cable is faulty, probably only one way to find out if you know someone with a dock - or just send the dock back to were you purchased it declaring it faulty
I've had similar issues, I solved it by rebooting the phone and plugging it in using sony usb charger until the charge is over 30%, after I got mine to 30% using usb, it then was able to charge using the dock.
you could check the dock with a multimeter, but there's not really much to the dock itself, so unless it's a broken wire, the problem is with the wall charger which the docks plugged into or the phone
Thanks all. I will check if it is the dock/cable or the power plug when my wife gets home - she also has the Z1.
Thanks again, will keep updated.

Yeah, sadly the cables don't last too long - went through 2 cables up until now and many more to come.
Replaced battery, which had some charge in it, I connected it to the computer and the charger and got the lightning bolt, however the battery showed not charging, the USB connection to the computer was fine and was able to transfer files, unfortunately couldn't flash a new rom as the battery power was too low, also tried probably too late to go into the stock recovery and it just turns the phone off, before the battery was completely drained the battery charging icon looked normal with it filling up, now it comes on, but no filling up
I also put it on the wireless charger overnight and it did nothing
stock 6.0.1 no water damage, motherboard looks fine
is the phone a lost cause? anyone have any ideas?
thanks for your help peeps
Steve
Did you try a different cable?
yes, I tried 5 different cables that all work with my other phones, I did search for solutions before posting, I just didn't find anyone with a charging issue that was able to connect to the computer
thanks for the suggestion though, I appreciate it
If it's the battery, then replacement batteries are super cheap and it looks like a simple operation.
I've had my RP2 since July 2019 and it has been phenomenal. However, just within the last 2 weeks I ran into an issue with charging. Normally I charge using wireless charging and I started experiencing an issue where the phone constantly cycles through acknowledging wireless charge to not wireless charging. If I allow it to go through this cycle a couple times when I pull the phone off the dock it shows the battery icon as if it is still charging. When I first recognized this issue was occurring I tried plugging it in via wired(USB-C) and charging. The phone acted like it was charging but when I came back a few hours later I believe it had only increased maybe 1-2%.
Since the issue occurred I have tried powering off my phone and trying the wireless charge function with the phone powered off. I get a similar experience where it seems like the phone acknowledges wireless charging is trying to be done but it cycles between the battery charging icon and then blank screen, short buzz, and then the initial Powered by Android screen and then back to battery meter.
The only way I have found to successfully charge the phone at this point is to power off the phone, plug in wired charging(via USB-C). The phone will charge fine powered off or if I power the phone back on as long as i leave the charging cable plugged in when i power it on, it will continue to charge until i remove the cable. Once I try to plug the charging cable back in after the phone is powered on and booted it will no longer charge.
I've submitted a case to Razer Support but I'm almost 2 weeks in and have yet to hear any response back yet except, "Have you fixed your problem yet? If so let us know we'll close out your ticket" Obviously not very helpful.
Considering the wired charging behavior when the phone is up and running, it leads me to believe that this might be a software issue and not a hardware issue. However, since I have powered off my phone and attempted to wireless charge that way too and it still does not work makes me think it could possibly be a hardware issue?
Two other things to note:
1. I have seen a notification pop up that says something to the affect of "USB Controlled by Connected Device" even when nothing is connected to the phone.
2. Since the issue has arose I tried utilizing my USB-C dongle to 3.5mm headphone jack and it appears my phone no longer acknowledges when it is plugged in. Previously it worked like a charm and I could play music without issue. Now the music just plays out of the phone speakers like no dongle is connected.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Update: They did RMA my phone. I sent it in on a two day FedEx prepaid shipping. They received it 6/26 and by 6/30 were shipping it back to me. Arrived on my doorstep on 7/3 and it appears to be working now. I didnt receive any details on what they fixed but wireless charging and wired charging are back in good standing. They did return it with Android 8.1.0 so I had to do some updating from there.
It took a little to get everything completed(over a month from start of tech support case to finish of repaired Razer 2) but in all the experience was good with their support.
