I turned mine off recently ( paused ) and requested a download of the file. I received a notification a few moments ago ( took 3 days ) that the file was downloaded.
Would anyone know how to open this file ?View attachment 4541698View attachment 4541699

I dont think it is suposed to be opened by the user
Try renaming it by deleting the .gz
And btw, Google knows !
But i guess you don't know how or what to search for, it's the file extension you are looking for how to open, .gz, so just type .gz into the Google search box.
And I'll bet, even if you copy/paste the whole file name into Google, you'll eventually get an answer how to open such file.

You didn't copy/paste it, you wrote it yourself. But you didn't even write it correct. I see only one underscore in the original file name, but you put 3.
And if you look closer, even Google gives you suggestions on how to improve your searching.
As i said, Google knows !!
Here's an example of how to use Google...

I use openoffice.org on the laptop and would like to use the files on the GT w/o converting them to microsoft office formats. Any one know of a free office app that will read openoffice.org formats?
I use OpenDocument Reader.

Google is your friend. To make it even easier I have included the actual hyperlink used to search.

Thank you I appreciate you all think I'm an idiot that has not done this search. But this only shows "readers" ..I was asking the community about an app that you can EDIT the openoffice.org docs not just read them
Not trying to be offensive... if you already searched for it you should mention that... too many people don't use Google at all
All I can find as well is a reader. You could try Google docs, IIRC it does open office and I think the latest version's pretty good... other than that I think you're out luck...

Try to convert the docs using an app in android and then edit them with something like quick office or kingsoft office
I JUST installed this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=at.tomtasche.reader
and, yes, they say you can't alter the docs, but maybe that will happen eventually. Anyway, I figured you might just want to know about it

My HD is starting to get a bit too full for comfort. Does anyone know of a free utility or way to find out what the largest files and folders are and delete them? I'm looking for something similair to ES File Managers SD Card Analyst. I thought Explorer might work, but it doesn't sort folders by size, only files. Many thanks in advance.

FAR Manager should do the trick for you...
It's a console app, so no graphic rubbish to care of

It seems like it might work. If I could figure out how to use it for what I wanted. At this point it just seems to be a slower Windows Explorer.

Do a Google search for treesize free. It takes a while to calculate the size of the folders, but everything will. There's no quick way to do it.

Thank you guys. I'm trying Teesside first. If that doesn't work as I would like, I'll give WinDirStat a try. Thanks for the help.

So in short I have a couple of revealing pics of my girlfriend and a movie of her stripping, LOL... On my old phone I was able to make a folder, place a file in there called .no media and it would hide everything...
The .nomedia works for the pictures now but the one video still appears. How can I hide this as well?

Rename the extension of the video to something that isn't a video. e.g. .mpg to .bak
use root explorer to open when you want to watch -> open with certain app.
Yea no problem, I'll go ahead and send them right to you... Will the movie still work if I rename it to a .back file?

Apps use extensions to identify what files they should open, they do not mean that they can only open those files. So yes, just rename, open it with, and then pick your favorite video app.
I would like to know also. on the g3, i was able to lock the pictures/videos with a password. Im sure there are many apps that can do this, but which is the best?
Such a hassle. Renaming it didn't work I'm not sure why. I just deleted it. I see my girlfriend without clothes on enough anyways

Just tried to duplicate issue and couldn't. I opened Google and view random articles with Samsung browser, and it just opened new tabs each time, never a new browser window. Let me know if there is a certain process / order you would like me to try to see if I can duplicate the problem.

Greetings.
Im running the OneUI 2.0 beta, and I noticed that something is creating some sort of log files. (pelease review screenshots attached).
The files inside those folders contain some sort of logging info of my browsing data and such.
If I delete them, they re appear after a few minutes, anyone else knows what process is creating them?

Are you using "Link to Windows"? If so try disabling that and see if thats what it is. I don't have those folders and I have Link to Windows turned off because I discovered it was eating my battery.
