I really don't understand how or why but unfortunately my phone Micromax AQ4501 (ANDROID ONE) which was rooted in January 2017 by using Android one toolkit available at XDA , and since then I was using custom rom and many time I had changed it and recently I had installed Magisk while installing the rom via Custom Recovery Twrp 2.8.5 which was available with the Android One Toolkit but when after sometime when I decided to change my rom from Lineage 6.0.1 to AOSP and this time I actually forgot to wipe up and then straight away while installing first the error came that due to insufficient storage I can't install then when I did factory reset on TWRP it said can mount system, data....Etc.(can see image (
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1J1FqJdcJAuga75oUzkPnDc6_5sWU5h-b )) and said that the factory reset failed, then when I researched Youtube about this I got to know that I should format but this also gave me the same result so I really request to please suggest me a solution....
I think your flash memory is dead, a common problem with this phone .

Hi,
I am using Xperia SP, C5302, with Android version: 4.3 and Firmware: 12.1.A.205. I want to install CyanogenMod 11 in my mobile.
Going though different tips and tricks, I was able to root my phone, as well as unlock the bootloader. However, I'm unable to install a custom recovery. It is advised everywhere not to proceed with installing any custom ROM without installing custom recovery.
Currently not able to install CWM recovery in my phone. Also when I tried to boot my phone into recovery, it is not working. Is it because there are no custom recovery installed?
If anyone can tell me how to install the custom recovery in my system, will be very helpful. I've tried installing ROM Manager from Play Store, but it is unable to recognize my device. Also Quick Boot app from Play Store is not able to boot into recovery mode. Also tried using Flashtool and fastboot, not working either. :crying:
Right now, I'm not able to proceed with installing CM11 ROM in my Xperia because I'm afraid I will not be able to boot into recovery mode and hence will not be able to complete the installation and ultimately end up with a bricked phone.
Any help will be greatly appreciated..!!

Thanks deathviper. Followed the instructions and got it installed. Also completed installing CM11 ROM in my Xperia. The link was very helpful. I also followed this link: http://www.teamandroid.com/2014/03/...11-xperia-sp-c5302-c5303-kitkat-custom-rom/2/ to install CM11 ROM in my Xperia SP.
Thanks again..!!

I've allways thought that a locked bootloader would break your boot to a non-stock kernel. I think I read it from doomlord.
Now I wonder if it only blocks fastboot...
Recently I saw a post about CM10.2 working on locked devices... Now you're saying the same, maybe it started working lately somehow...
Though... Sure you saw that work?
I'm about to relock my device and take my chances, should get to it
Update: You may not want to test something for the first time... This one is tested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2649923
It's a much longer way. To start with you must get root and CWM recovery on 4.1.2, only to get ROOT on 4.3.

Hi,
I tried to root my N-920W8 with Nobel Kernel and it keeps restarting during phone calls.
And I found a post in XDA about the SkyHigh Kernal (which has fixed the call reboot bug) for N-920W8 but it is in .zip format where I can not use ODIN.
Tried to convert the .zip into .tar and failed.
I tried to connect my phone to my PC and place the .zip file into my phone USB file as there is no external SD for Note 5.
(Not sure whether there is a particular location to place the .zip file.)
After place the .zip, tried to flash it in the download/recovery mode (volume down+power+home botton),
it said could not find sd card/failed to do so.
Tried to go to SAMMobile.com to find stock rom, can not download anything...seems like it's empty or the link is not working.
I tried to search stock rom from other sites and found nothing as well.
I saw someone posted similar threads and suggested to try arter97 root but it will have slight lag which I do not want.
Plus, the person with the problem did not confirm whether or not it fixs the problem.
I am really frustrated with a lot searching and browsing so I decide to open a new thread to ask.
Do I have to flash back to stock rom in order to root properly? Or can I just find a stable kernel and flash it with ODIN and everything will work fine?
Could you provide step-by-step instructions and links as well? I am a noob but I am not taking it for granted but it's just that I am afraid I might mess things up...
*Also, I am not sure whether the following problem relates to the one above...
When I am rebooting, it says "KERNAL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING"
Is it the same issue? Or a different one?
Thank you for taking your time to read my thread.
I will be really thankful for the solution. Thank you!

hi, I have the same problem with my N9208, someone told me to try installing arter 97 but in this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/development/arter97-kernel-galaxy-note-5-t3189907 they said that this kernel is not compatible with the n9208 that is the model that I have, this is the list with the compatible models;

SM-N920C
SM-N920I
SM-N920G
SM-N920S
SM-N920K
SM-N920L

I fully support N9208 with SkyHigh kernel. You just have to read Posts 1-3 including requirements and install instructions. ... you don't use Odin !!

I'm pretty sure your next step is to wipe all data , for your phone to boot. I had to do this when I first rooted my device (N-920w8 telus). I had followed this guide :
http://galaxynote5root.com/galaxy-n...alaxy-note-5-on-android-6-06-0-1-marshmallow/
On page 2 , steps 11 , 12 and 13.
Your phone will be stucked in a boot loop until you "format data" . Unfortunately , you will lose everything in your phone by doing this.
Once you've installed TWRP , so that you never have to "format data" again if you try other updates , i recommend "Flashfire" . This tool can install full firmware packages for updates , but without removing your recovery partition, leaving TWRP intact , which you can then use again to reflash SuperSU and the "no-verify-opt-encrypt.zip"
Good luck
stuck in FRP
got everything to work beautifully! Then I went to go to TWRP and forgot to take OEM lock off!! What can I do to get out of the FRP Lock? Kies wont except my serial number for some reason and I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO...
Hello People of XDA..
I am unable to flash any rom to my note 5..
Device: Samsung Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920T (T-Mobile)
Status:
TWRP Flashed and Working
Download Mode Working.
Detected by Odin3_v3.10.7
It was rooted before i wiped everything.
( I had some problem in the display and after reading online I thought of flashing a custom ROM hoping that might solve problem. I suddenly got a green line in my display.. someone suggested it could be a software issue.. and some googling showed it occured in some samsung devices... so i thought of wiping off everything and trying a custom rom...)
I Wiped:
Dalvik/ART Cache
System
Data
Internal Storage
Cache
Then it restarted and stuck on the Samsung Logo..
Then Tried to Install This ROM: Hyperdrive RLS5
Step by Step as advised in the forum.
but it stucks at the Black Screen after Samsung Logo..
Then I Tried This T-Mobile Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920T to Stock 5.1.1 Lollipop Firmware using Odin3_v3.10.7 but it Fails

Yup, there was no kernel installed with your rom and you erupted the old one...flash stock modified, arter 21, or latest available skyhigh kernel and you'll boot...OR find a custom rom pkg that includes a kernel...

I tried flashing stock rom in my lenovo A7000a with lollipop version via SP Flash tool but it stuck in bootloop. When it get first boot up in custom rom, for first time bootanimation get change a littel and then it get stuck again and every time i flash stock rom or custom rom it get stuck at bootanimation.

I did try it by download another stock rom from *Flashing Stock Rom Via SP Flash Tool[Lenovo A7000] by*PrashantRana
But it gets into bootloop.
If bootanimation appears, dont worry just wait for long time.try rebooting with battery replacement etc:both stock and androium takes a hell lot of time to boot for first time.or else you may try flashing CM roms or the nexus MM minimal ported by myself.the wont take much time to boot up :cheers

Both are same. A7000a is the model number and Lenovo A7000 Plus is official name of the Device.
I have tried two methods.
1st Method.
First I flash stock rom then I wipe data/cache/dalvik-cache.
2nd Method
I did same as above in this method but I wipe data/system/cache/dalvik-cache.
I have tried two method
1. Dowload only
2. Firware Upgrade
Third method format all didnt didnt work.
It shows some error.
A7000 and a7000plus are not the same.they got different architecture and kernel.a7000 got a 1.5ghz cpu whereas a7000plus got 1.5ghz,resembling to k3note.make sure you flash the proper firmware.choose firmware upgrade in spft.also i recomment flashing recovery only after first boot.if bootanimation appears it is likely to boot.

at first TWRP screen click on cancel so you must have acces to TWRP
after that you can't use install or backup or recovery because phone internal memory is encrypted
only way is to erase all and install a new ROM , before you must follow a few steps revealed here or Youtube

Ok , I understand . You don't have acces to internal memory so you can't see anything there like zip ,restore etc . TWRP ask for password ? You're sure internal memory is encrypted ?
Can you , TWRP let you to wipe data , cache or dalvik ? When you try to wipe does it show some error or "can;t find any data" ?

I do have access but there is just 24gb available and 24gb free .
I think there was more available before.
As I switched from custom to eui I lost my imei/baseband and stupid me tried to flash 19s again without oem unlock in eui...
So because of that I would have to do the unbrick way or not?
No errors while wiping.
So the encryption problem from you guys here is s.th. else I guess, but s.th. is wrong with my filesystem or what?

Sorry man , I don't understand you . I think your's problem is that you losed IMEI . Ok there are a lot of tutorials which you can follow to solve that .On the other hand you said you have yet the backup on a SD card , that's no problem at all because Le 2 is OTG capable and you could restore it . So ?
Other thing , 19s ROM version is quite old try to download latest version (I'll give you the link to this) , put it in internal memory , power off the phone , start it in TWRP , wipe dalvik & cache and install this latest version . Don't panic , be cool .
Regarding internal memory 24 GB is fine , that's it , is correct . You have the 32 GB version , phone system eat about 7...8 GB so free 24 GB is well .
