I purchased a used tablet off ebay. It is frp locked. The seller said he would refund me my money or give me a partial refund to get it unlocked. I am looking for suggestions on what to use to unlock.
I looked at the logs and took some pics of them. Hopefully they will tell you what version and security patch is installed. I get to the talkback screen. When click on the privacy policy I get the your request has been declined for security reasons.
I haven't messed with rooting or customising android since 2.0 or so. So I am way out of the game.
Suggestion?

You should downgrade to build ended with PH3, otherwise there is no way to use Talkback to open Chrome.
I don't know what you did, but Volume Up + Home + Power will open Recovery Mode where you can see the build number at the top.
With the volume up power home screen there is a option to see logs also. I will downgrade and see what happens

If you already know how to use Talk Back to reach Privacy Policy, then no problem to unlock FRP by downgrade the firmware.
They key of FRP unlock is to know what method to use with certain build or OS, there is no key for every lock, that's main point most users are missing when post a solution online, so are the ones are watching or reading.
I was not sure if the firmware I was on was able to unlock. After reading a lot, I found it easiest to downgrade the firmware. Works like a charm.

Hello I managed to unlock the bootloader thanks to this tutorial : https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/how-to/unlock-bootloader-code-t3859685
It's taking a long time because one moment you have to send in info and wait for an answer...
In the end I get out of it, everything works fine and I don't have to pay DC-locker.
so I have twrp but when I install rom customise it displays this message :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And I go back to twrp :crying:
As explained to the I "cheated" to get root so I don't have my code.
In the tutorial it is necessary to modify the file /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/nvme to have the bootlaeder unblocked so I don't want any method that could modify it.
But thanks to the huawei update extractor and fasboot I can install partitions if needed.
My questions are:
How do I fix the boot?
Does the P8 lite 2017 have Verifying Boot, Rollback protection, dm verity etc? If so, how do I disable them?
How, remove this message?
Even if you didn't know how to solve my problem...
You know if, as I ask the question above, it has Android protections (Verifying Boot, Rollback protection, dm verity and especially File-Based Encryption) on the P8 lite 2017 with android 8 and how to disable them ?
The message is normal. Just a warning your bootloader is unlocked.

I even had to do a factory reset. And oddly enough, I haven't lost my root access.:angel:
thanks for your reply

Thank You very much
I think your device could pretty easily be fixed by just reinstalling the stock ROM through Odin.
Follow these simple steps:
Download stock ROM from SamMobile. Here is a direct link to your device. Simple select the right firmware for your phone and download.
Download flashing tool, in this case, Odin. Make sure to download it from a reliable source as 3rd parties sometimes do include viruses.
Boot your phone into download mode by pressing the Volume down and Bixby button at the same time as you plug in the USB-c cable.
Use Odin to flash all the stock firmware files except for the HOME_CSC one.
Congrats you have successfully recovered your phone. Now give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back.
Also, please place your thread in the right forum in the future. That way you can get help much quicker.
If this answer did help you, please mark it as the solution as it help people in the future.
Hello to all the Mi9 Scene!
I bought a cheap bricked Mi 9 yesterday and i need some help unbricking it. The previous owner told me that the phone got bricked (stuck on MIUI logo) after an update. I already tried Mi Flash, with no success because the bootloader is locked and it won't let me flash. I'm also unable to unlock the bootloader because it was not configured on Developer Settings before. I also tried XiaoMiToolV2 and MiFlash Pro recovery metohod with no success.
Can anyone help me trying to bring this device to life? Maybe using EDL metohod will work?
Thanks in advance
use miflash, flash an official rom and choose below in the page lock option
MiFlash doesn't work on locked bootloader. I sold the device today for the same price that i bought. Thanks anyways
Same problem here.
Mi9 blocked on Boot screen with miui logo, android and 3 points...
I guess firmware update crashed

The owner would like to not loose a call recording and photos... I can see the fast boot screen but didn't used it not sure it won't make more problem...
Do you think she can transfert data with fast boot odb?
She just connected the phone to the pc to transfer photos but of course the computer doesn't see the phone...
Can someone help? Is it possible to install firmware update again without loosing data?
Thanks for your future advices (and sorry for my English )
Hi guys,
My pixel 5 died recently while playing a video. It will not turn on, nor make any sound. There is no haptic feedback as well when I start the device. The only time it is detected is when I boot it up in fastboot mode (Press and hold Power and Vol Down). It is detected as Pixel 5 on windows pc. It is detected under fastboot devices but I can't seem to do anything else with it. I am unable to get an adb connection. I don't remember if usb debugging was turned on or not on my device before it died, it most likely was enabled but can't get it connected via adb.
Note: The phone is bootloader locked
My question is can I recover my data from the phone through fastboot only without a working display?
Thanks.
Perhaps you could try booting into twrp and see if you can access the data that way?
Thanks. I did try that but I can't really boot into recovery as the device is bootloader locked.

Oh no. I hope someone can prove me wrong but I believe your only option now is to send it in for a repair.

This. Without bootloader unlock, your chances of dumping partitions are zero.
@nabeeltariq Are you able to access stock recovery? You may be able to sideload an OTA package to get working again.
