Hi all..
I'am just facing a strange behavior with my sound level
.. While pressing the like button on facebook (i use google chrome for browsing Facebook not facebook app).
When i press it the sound goes louder about 30% above its normal level even if the sound level is already at max.
And the sound is clear also so that thing confuses me.
Is my phone lower than Normal and this bug make it normal or what is going on!

Ive noticed since I got my X on Monday that randomly my notification/ringer won't make any sounds. Even if I have it set to the loudest possible setting. When I choose the volume thru the volume buttons the sound when raising or lowering doesnt always work either. I have all the settings correct to make sounds. Could this be a Lollipop thing, or is it my X? Has anyone else had this happen?
Yeah, it's been happening with my device aswell.. no idea what could be the reason, either the Lollipop update or some conflicts with moto apps perhaps? Wish I could fix it.
Bumping this in case someone finds a solution!
I found that if I use the volume buttons to change volumes it goes silent. So I just adjust the volume in the settings/sound to change volume.
I've noticed that the volume takes a step down in certain apps and situations, for instance: whenever I get a notification from whatsapp with the screen both on/off, the volume is rock solid.. but whenever a notification comes through facebook messenger with screen off, the volume is ABSOLUTELY low; meanwhile, with the screen on the volume is fine with both of them. SMS, Youtube and Email notifications are fine aswell (for now).
EDIT: well, it happens randomly even when ringing from a phone call even after adjusting from the settings and not the volume rockers. Gosh, Moto should fix this one asap.
If we had a LED I wouldn't care. I have to keep turning my screen on to see if I have a text msg
im on stock lollipop, and i've had this issue regarding notifications
and more exactly facebook messenger notifications
and only facebook messenger
when i get a message from fb msn, the notification sounds too low, too dim, this doesnt happen with whatsapp or hangouts, only fb msn.
its quite annoying because people talk to me and i cant hear the ring, until minutes later.
if i get 3 rings in a row then it gets louder
does anyone has this issue?
I also have this problem. If my phone is awake or in use, notification for fb messenger are loud and great. But if my phone is locked/sleeping/not in use, it lowers the volume of the notification only for Facebook messenger so low I can barely hear it. I'm not sure what feature this is, it feels like the phone is trying to lower app volume when the phone sleeps, and I don't want that. All sound levels are maxed at all times, and I've looked through every setting in the phone.
Does anyone else have the issue where the speaker volume fades out and then becomes mute. Let me explain more:
Since about yesterday, whenever I'd use an app that requires sound (Spotify, Soundcloud, Youtube, Facebook videos, etc), I'd initially hear some sound (depending on my volume setting. After about 3 to 8 seconds, the volume fades out for no apparent reason. I'd check to see if the volume level is changed, but it remains at my set level but there is no sound. I max the volume and still no sound. This doesn't seem to be a hardware issue but rather a software issue.
Yes! I have to restart my device. Then it will work for a while. This is the first form I've seen talking about this issue. Must not be a huge issue. I have an S8 plus.
So here is my problem,
When I play music or a video (say on youtube) on max speaker volume as much as my device limit, after a while volume automatically lowers down.If I check sound panel, it still shows all volume maxed out.It took a while to get back to original max volume.
Any help would be appreciated:fingers-crossed:

I too face this. Mostly happens when the track is paused but several times, it happens for just no reason.

I've seen this happen on my phone as well, but only on the hooq app. Right now, the only fix for this seems to be to close the app by swiping it away from recent apps or force close it altogether.
I usually keep my phone on silent. Even so, when I get a WhatsApp message notification for example, the volume from Spotify temporarily decreases. This is quite annoying, and it's why I have the phone on silent in the first place.
Is this normal? I haven't tested it with other apps yet.
Thank you!
I have the same issue. Did you solve it or does anyone know how to do so?
