You're right it doesn't.
Go into Magisk Manager and select "Uninstall" and follow on screen instructions.

[Q] After Amazon OTA Update, I'm Screwed

I've been trying to use KF First Aide and it's saying I've got root, but when I run rootchecker, it's saying it's not rooted. When I try starting superuser, it says the binaries werent there and it can't install them. I tried using KFFA's option to install the Play store, but of course it's not even showing on my kindle.
How can I just wipe the whole thing and start over from the beginning? Can anyone give me a list of exactly what I need to DL (and where to get it) to root and get all of the Google services up and running?
I've been going through the root threads and it's just running me to other threads and I'm going in circles and nothing is working.
Thanks for your help!
Me Too!!!
I am having exactly the same problem. I ended up finally doing a full factory reset from within the KFHD7's settings, and trying to re-root via First Aide (4.1.83beta) and it is doing NOTHING!!! I have done every little thing I can think of and am stumped. Without root, my Kindle is worthless to me.

how to remove SuperSu installer app

Hello guys,
I had rooted my One and unlocked the bootloader but then for 4.2.2 i have relocked the bootloader and also unrooted it and also installed the stovk recovery.
But after flashing the stock rom i see the SuperSU installer app in the notification bar, app drawer and in system apps also!
down below are some pics!
I want to remove that app but without root
please can anyone tell me what to do??
have u find a solution
have u find out how to remove supersu installer?
same here
have you found a solution?
Please don't tell me you have to unlock the bootloader, again to do this...
The Less-Than-Obvious Solution
This was an initially annoying catch 22. You need to flash to go back to an unlocked stock, and then TWRP places the SuperSU installer on your freshly-returned-to-stock phone! NO! :crying:
The less-than-obvious solution is to actually install SuperSU, and then go into SuperSU settings and choose "Full Unroot". This removes all traces of the phone being rooted, and the phone also remains locked and without the tamper flag set. :silly:
I hope that helps you guys in the future, considering I'm kind of late to the party.

Ive removed supersu from the phone with 'Full Unroot' option but on factory reset it asks to install again.

1- Please don't double post, just get's everybody confused
2- if it's popping back up after a reboot, then you probably have a stock kernel (ie with write protection), and that will revert any changes to /system after a reboot.

My unrooted phone doesn't pass safetynet

Hi, I have a problem with my OnePlus 2. My phone is running Lineage OS 14.1 and I can't play Pokemon go. My phone has been rooted but I uninstalled it so Pokemon should work right? I also did a safetynet check and I didn't pass it. I hope anyone here can help me with this.

Thanks I'll try it
Apart from root, there are also other things that trigger SafetyNet. Most common suspects:
Bootloader needs to be locked or you'll need something that masks/doesn't report the bootloader state. Some custom kernels do this.
SELinux need to be enforcing.
Thanks, is it possible to lock the bootloader again?

The OnePlus Two does not report bootloader lock status to SafetyNet so it does not matter if it is unlocked.
I would try reflashing the rom and making sure it is not rooted. If you want root you will want to flash Magisk via TWRP.

Thank you, I will try to reflash it and see if it is working. I'm sure my phone is not rooted anymore, I have uninstalled the root in the SuperSU app.

Temporary ROOT

There is any way to temporary root P10?
Not really...you can root the phone, do your things and unroot it. Use magisk for it, it's easy to use.
Thanks.
I wanted temporarily because I didn't want to do a factory reset but I will do it with magisk,

To install Magisk you need to unlock your bootloader, so there's no way to get away from factory reset if you want root.
Yeah I know...thanks

will I lose root if I do factory reset?

I have the OnePlus 7T. Rooted with magisk.
essentially, I am wondering if I will lose root if I perform a full factory reset. sometimes I find that is the easiest way to clear from the phone. Given that it is a pain in the ass to root that phone right now without TWRP access, would it be a loss of everything if I went to perform full factory reset?
if so, any advice on exactly how to do it or any special things to look out for? Thank you

No!
Magisk performs Root based on a modification to the boot image, which is only touched if you reinstall/format /system
With a simple factory reset, you will lose only the modules, which are in an image in the folder /data, and maybe Magisk Manager does not reinstall itself automatically and you need to install manually but will not lose the root

okay thanks. Sooner otherwise you would recommend just doing a regular, simple factory reset through the settings, system, erase all data function?

I always do it through TWRP, but I don't believe this method will cause some bug
