Same here be using Samsung UK
If they offer a trade in with the Note 9 its a lot easier as you send your old phone after you've received new phone unlike other trade in offers

Are you already on the upgrade program?
I have sold my Note 8 so I can just buy outright but was thinking about the upgrade option so I could change next year without the fuss.
Do you have to have a phone to return to be able to join the program?
Yeah be going through Samsung Direct, not on the upgrade program myself but be interesting on what deals they do and may for the first time look at their upgrade program

I bought my Note 8 outright but looking to trade it in this time around
As for the Upgrade you don't need to have a phone as your starting a fresh upgrade program , So you would then just trade in your Note 9 next year (I would read T&C`s tho as good few caveats in there that made me go hmmmm)
Tho if Samsung do the Paypal 0% again that looks a better deal
Tho if they do the paypal 0% offer again that's a better option
May I ask why the PayPal deal is better than the upgrade program?

I very much doubt it, in previous years US got a lot better buy in deals than the UK, probably get the usual 256gb micro sd card or next version of the VR lol if were lucky
Price is £1099 512gb or 899 for 128gb
£300 trade in deal and no pre order offers yet
Duplicate entry see below post

No paypal 0% credit offer either yet
I've asked Samsung whether the ones available for pre-order are single or dual SIM variants but they are not sure yet.
Samsung website doesn't mention anything about Dual SIM version, was looking forward to it, got rid of my Note 8 Duos , so may have to look elsewhere.
edit* If you click find retailer it shows Hybrid SIM.

Doesn't feel like there's much excitement for this one.
I want to get the Note 9 512GB/8GB Ram variant but feeling a little hesitant to pull the trigger considering the price of £1,099.00 and no pre-order gifts.

Just seen on Android Central. Verizon was holding out it seems, and will now have the gold versions of the phones for pre-order on the first. Now I've gotta go switch up my order with BestBuy...

I chatted with a Bestbuy employee online yesterday and he said the gold one will be up for preorder April 1st. I hope so cause I'm waiting on Sprints gold edge 128gb

Hello! will the Verizon 128GB Gold Galaxy S6 Edge be available for pre order tomorrow?
How exciting that your interested in getting a new phone! I'd be more than happy to assist you with any questions about the preorder for the Samsung S6 edge. Let me check that for you.
May I please take a 2-3 minutes to look into this for you? I appreciate your patience.
While you wait, any accessories you want me to look up for you?
Thank you so much for waiting. I did check for you. The Samsung S6 Edge 128GB will be available tomorrow for preorder.
will there be official Samsung accessories available tomorrow?
Yes, accessories will be available for preorder tomorrow as well.
i guess i'm just trying to clarify. The Verzion 128gb Gold/Platinum version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will be available for pre order tomorrow. Correct?
Yes, it will be available.
I haven’t received a response from you. Do you still need assistance?
fantastic! Do you by chance have the price options? Off contract and 2 year. Thank you verymuch for your help
With 2 year contract it will be $499.99.
Without contract it will be $1049.99.
That off contract price scares me...

Best Buy always charges more for off-contract devices compared to carriers. Verizon will have the same $499 contract price, but off-contract they'll have the 128GB S6E for $899.

I hope so, or soon, because I need to switch my preorder from black to gold before launch. I tweeted BB Mobile today and they didn't have a date for Sprint gold variant.
I went on the Verizon website to check if gold was available, and it is. But.... when you place the order, it shows a shipping date of May 1st.... sigh...
I might just preorder this one. First time I've ever preordered. Now I just have to decide between black and gold.
Last phone I ever preordered was the HTC Incredible and it arrived a week early. Hoping for the same blunder in the warehouse lol.
Ended up ordering from Verizon for $150 less than Best Buy.
128GB S6 Edge Gold Platinum
Order Date: 4/2/15
Shipping date: 5/1/15
Carrier: Verizon
Shipping Method: 2 day
ETA: Possibly shipping around April 27th per big red employee. I have a feeling i will be looking for emails every single day in the hopes i get a shipment notification!!!!

Samsung is beautiful
I actually posted a bunch online saying I'd use this as an excuse to jump ship if Verizon decided to screw with me one more time by not offering the gold version. I still want it, but I'm pretty peeved that it's coming in May, since that timing is so iffy I might as well wait for the Note 5. I'm still debating, though I'm leaning heavily towards buying it.
've been struggling with whether to go White or Gold. I think I decided on White, but I do wonder about the 32GB vs 64GB vs 128GB. So my mentality is this, I definitely don't want to do 32GB so it's 64GB vs 128GB.
Is 128GB better? YES, of course. But I have a 64GB card and I think with one of those nifty Meenova devices (USB OTG to micro sd adapter), I could easily add any amount of data to the phone on the go.
Anyone else have a big reason for going 128GB? Because the price is insane at that level.

It depends on how much you plan on storing into your phone. I have my entire music catalog on my SD Card so i went with the 128GB. I also have a young daughter and i use my phone as my main camera so i wanted the extra memory. If you use streaming sites for music or store your pic/vids on a cloud based service you really do not need anything more than a 64GB. Just my opinion.

Those are valid points. I backup to the cloud but have about 10GB of pictures and video on my phone. I do stream my music mostly. So I think really I should be good. If I want to have movies or other things I could prob do the 64gb card via the dash micro adapter. But then Verizon gives $100 off so I feel like I could get 128GB for 64gb price. Lol
Anyone know the correct steps to ordering a Verizon note 8 on best buy and getting the full trade in allowance? I'm not sure if I am suppose to pre order on best buy first then go to Verizon's site and get the $480 bill credit. I went through the process of pre ordering on Verizon's site and was offered the $480 but it's cheaper on best buy. Any help would be appreciated.
Wondering the same thing but with Sprint

Wondering if those of us in the UK will be getting any discount deals too, as I'd like to finally upgrade off my old note-3 having had the initial note-7 and then its replacement on the first recall and then of course that also got recalled. Not heard any news to say UK/Eur would get any sort of loyalty offer yet...
Anyone know how to get the trade in of $425 for trading in a Note 7? I thought I read that you have to do that direct through Samsung, but so far have not found a place to do so.

I don't know best buys deal - or any deals, I haven't looked yet. I will buy direct through Samsung IF they actually give me $425 for my Note 7. Often there is fine print and ways they can wiggle you down on what they actually give you for a trade in. So until I know for sure that I can get $425 for my Note 7 on a trade in for the Note 8, I am not doing anything. Although my Note 7 is not usable as a phone, just a smaller wifi tablet at this point.

just got done speaking with Samsung. here is the link to check your eligibility. I did qualify, they basically say the trade in has to be almost perfect, no cracks, black lists, powers on, good software. I think they should offer it through the carriers.
here is the link. not sure how long the promo is, they didn't have an expire date when I asked. I still think I may wait a little to see if they offer it in blue

Thanks. I have already pre-ordered the Note 8. I did use the $425 trade in program. You cannot trade in a Note 7 if you have one, but you can trade in many other kinds of phones. I thought that a bit odd as I thought the point was for them to get N7's OUT of the hands of people still using them somehow (I haven't had mine activated since early February).
I am trading my S7E in, which I bought mint, but used back in early February to take the place of my soon to be deactivated Note 7. I paid $275 for it back in February, so that is a good ROI on the phone, which has just been sitting in a drawer since April. It has been my backup phone and is in very good condition (almost mint). I am currently using an S8+ but I will keep that as my backup phone most likely. Again, thanks for the info and link!

Someone on another thread contacted samsung about there note 7 and they are giving them a full refund for the note 7
I guess I order through best buy. Then go to Verizon's site to get the $480 bill credit which will put my bill at just under $13 a month. Tomorrow I'm going to call and double check before I pull the trigger. I wonder if Sammy would take S8+ for a trade in?

Really? Wonder if I can change up my trade in then? Thanks for mentioning this!
I'd also love to see a discussion started on the best deals, and ways to stack offers.
anyway, here's the deal Samsung is offering, if you owned a Note 7, and signed into a Samsung account on it, using your old email address you'll get a special "fan appreciation" offer.
(They will want you to trade in a phone still)
https://promos.samsungpromotions.com/note7loyalty/Mobile
another thing for Note 7 users, if you still have your Note 7, (as I do) you can still return your Note 7 for full price, plus a discount insensitive towards your next Samsung phone.
https://pages.samsung.com/us/note7/recall/index.jsp
(if anyone knows how this works with phones bought from 3rd party vendors like Clove or eBay, please share your experience)

Duplicate thread.
Already a thread about this made days ago in the News and discussion forum....
what's the link to that other thread?
I clicked on that loyalty link, they didn't required my proof of purchase on note7. maybe they already have my info when I returned note7 on the recall. I bought my note7 on swappa. com kinda like eBay.
I just ordered att note8 for 573$ total with taxes and shipping included. I trade in my old freedompop iphone5 for 200 off. former note7 user get another 225 off.
If you used the same email on that link that you used when you bought and or returned your Note 7, they will already have your info. That being said, they are giving $425 and I did not see a place to return the Note 7 for the $425 although in another thread someone said if you call Samsung you can get them to allow you to return the Note 7 if you still have it.
Australia are thinking about honoring the discount. I called them the other day to ask and they rang back to confirm my details and said there would be an announcement soon. Hopefully they will finally give back to the Aussies who were burned (literally) by the Note7 debacle. But im not holding my breath if anything it will be a token effort.
Samsung is a friggin joke - the exchange and recall was a catastrophe in Germany (I had to wait until end of December to get my money back) and they offer 0 benefits for Note 7 owners. Nothing, nada.
I find this behaviour seriously terrible, not only did the consumers in the US get a goodie for their trouble with the Note 7 (we got NONE - yet I had to drive to the post office several times and had to take time off from work to get the damn thing picked up, twice).
I am not sure if I will buy a Note 8 again from this crappy company, not after many of us here got shafted without a any kind of appreciation or sorry from their side.

Same in the UK. Not many made it to Europe so I would have thought it would be a great way for cheap good will. But alas nothing.
Yeh, thats what I would have done, but Samsung values US customers a lot higher than European customers.
Well as I thought Samsung in Australia have only offered a token refund of $250 but only to people who purchased directly through Samsung. Aparently I dont qualify because I bought it from a carrier (Telstra) AND TELSTRA are completely ignoring their customers and are offering NOTHING to replace the handset when previously they were giving an inferior S7 for them. Im not happy at all with Telstra they are being SCUM about it.
Now that we see different deals coming out from carriers, BOGO, $480 trade, 50% off, is the Note 7 offer really a deal or are we just being duped with marketing to buy from Samsung?
Should we voice our opinions to Samsung and try to get some reconciliation of some kind?
What do you all think?
I picked up an iphone 5S from Walmart for the trade in. Cost around $100. Bottom line is that I don't have to add a line I don't need to my TMO account along with loosing my grandfathered incredible account. Net cost is $605 and I get $100 worth of freebies as a pre-order. I think it is a great deal for former Note 7 owners.
The difference really is in the new line or adding line details. Still, since there is any deal for any carrier new line or add a line, 480 trade, 50%, or BOGO, shouldn't the Note 7 offer have been a little more than the rest...those who trade in the lesser of the phones for 425 is getting a better deal but if they are trading in the s8 or s7, att is better and sprint is 50% off with no trade...it doesn't really bother me, I was just curious how everyone feels about it...I like the Samsung deal because I own the phone, but Sprint lease has 20/month with trade ins that can bring it to 10/month as another posted for 240 total and paying at the end to own another 240...so 480 total...but the whole thing with monthly payments...is it really a savings?

I grabbed a very near mint Galaxy S5 for $80, turn around and save $425 off the Note8. At the end of the day with the S5 trade in, selling the gear360 and selling my LG V20 I will walk away with the Note8 for around $260 (break down below) so I am pretty happy.
-$535.29 (buy Note8 with Note7 trade-in)
-$80 (buy s5 for trade-in)
=
-$615.29
-----------------------------------------------------
+$94 (Ebates)
+$80 (sell 360cam estimation)
+$200 (sell V20)
=
+$354
-----------------------------------------------------
$261.29 (total paid for Note8 in the end)
$985.79 full price (if bought outright, no deals/trade-ins)
$724.50 savings
I agree that it is not really a deal for Note 7 owners when I am trading in my Note 5 for $480. But that is the carriers, not really Samsung's fault.

The fact that people have been buying Note 7 emails and codes even though they didn't own one just to get in on the deal shows that it's a pretty good deal.
What I got from Samsung because of the Note 7 fiasco:
Free use of the Note 7 for 4 months (normally $37.50 a month to lease = $150 comped)
Free use of the loaner S7Edge for 5 months (another $32.59 a month = $165 comped)
Free 256gb memory card ($250)
Free Gear VR ($125?)
$425 off a note 8 after trade in ($425 - $75 to buy a brand new iphone 5s from straight talk = $350)
Free 360 camera ($250?)
That's already $1000+ of free stuff right there, and that's just from 1 Note 7 and 1 Note 8. Others got multiple Note 7s and 8s and probably got even more stuff.
I'm only familiar with the Tmo BOGO, so that's the one I can talk about. The Sprint leasing deal is pretty good though. $10? or $20? a month for a lease to own the Note 8. Only downside is you're tied to Sprint for 2 years.
For the TMo BOGO: It's great if you are need 2 lines and 2 Note 8s anyway (wife, buddy, group buy). But for those of us who need just 1 or not on TMo, the Samsung deal is easier to do. For the TMo BOGO you need to add a line ($10 a month until the prepaid card comes in), you have to wait several months to get your money, you have to pay full taxes for both phones, and you have to go through selling the 2nd phone and freebie if you only need one phone.
Yes, the Note 7 deal is part of marketing from Samsung, but they're also legitimately subsidizing money for that deal because you were a loyal Note user. What they didn't anticipate is that carriers are also willing to lose money and subsidize the Note 8 just to lock you into their network. Just be happy that all these corporations are willing to lose money just to keep us, as opposed to 10 years ago when carriers didn't care and blatantly screwed everyone because we had no choice but to bend over (Verizon is still that way today).

I grabbed a very near mint Galaxy S5 for $80, turn around and save $425 off the Note8. At the end of the day with the S5 trade in, selling the gear360 and selling my LG V20 I will walk away with the Note8 for around $260 (break down below) so I am pretty happy.
-$535.29 (buy Note8 with Note7 trade-in)
-$80 (buy s5 for trade-in)
=
-$615.29
-----------------------------------------------------
+$94 (Ebates)
+$80 (sell 360cam estimation)
+$200 (sell V20)
=
+$354
-----------------------------------------------------
$261.29 (total paid for Note8 in the end)
$985.79 full price (if bought outright, no deals/trade-ins)
$724.50 savings

Man, where did you find an S5 that cheap? I selected to send in a non-Samsung phone. According to chat, that's what I have to send in. Looking for a used V20, they're all in the $175-200 price range unless it's a bad IMEI.

Facebook Marketplace, lady wanted $100 and I offered $80 and met her that day. Phone is in excellent shape, crazy for how old it is. I'm selling my Verizon V20 for $200 to Walmart, they have a gadgets to gift cards department.

Yes, the older the cheaper just make sure it's on the Note7 promo trade-in list which the S5 is. The lady even left her 16gb SD card in the phone, can't have enough SD cards ?

Same place I got mine. He wanted $125.00 and settled for $50.00, said it's been sitting in his drawer for over two years. Looked at swappa first but I think they know about the Samsung trade in and aren't dealing.
What is the best place to sell my Note 8?

Hi , when sumsung presented the last his device galaxy s10 I decided to renew my gadget. The main problem was that I didn't have enouth money to buy it. I needed to sell my old phone in very quick time but it doesn't was easy to do. Everyone offered me a stupid price like I should give it for free. I wasn't agree to sell very cheap. Here a site https://buybackreview.com/decluttr-review/ with reviews in the shops which have the best quote on Samsung note 8 . So do not rush to sell your phone for free.

wow, up to $220 USD for the Note 8... I think the best option is to use the samsung trade in, for example, here in Mexico you can get up to $300 USD, in the US you can get the same. Even best buy gives you more, like $260 in discount card, but if you trade in for a Note 10 they give you like $300 USD. So, i think the best choice is to trade in for a new samsung phone.
