Hi,
Has anyone succesfully manage to convert EVA-L09 singelsim to EVA-L19 dualsim by flashing oeminfo from L19 to L09 and then flash stock Firmware from L19 and get dualsim option in Settings?
Can someone confirm that it's possible before i try the process?
It's a big process because i need to first Rollback to MM, unlock bootloader and install TWRP, use SrkTool to flash oeminfo.
Maybe by an appropriate HWOTA zip:

However, do you really have two SIM slots?

I think it has 2 sim slots, but u need a sim tray that can have 2 sim. U can bye a sim tray from the L19 or L29 version that has dual sim.
If u check all other Huawei models that is singel sim can be converted to dual sim. Like the P10, Mate 9, Mate 10, P9 Lite, P8, Mate 8, Honor 8......
But i have not found anywhere that someone try it on the P9?

See the do-it-yourself procedure to attach two SIM cards and SD card

Seems it should work even for L09 debranded to L19

Then it should be possible to Rolleback to MM, use SrkTool to flash oeminfo L19 and then flash stock L19 Firmware and u should have dualsim options in Settings.
One IMEI but u could use dualsim if u get a sim tray from L19.
U can se in the spare part that the simslot has dualsim function.

So you say that L09 already has dual-SIM reader (hardware), same as L19/L29 (it is just not enabled in L09)?
Btw, this guide should apply for debranding to L19:

Yes, but u will need a sim tray for dualsim from L19. The same is on other Huawei phones. Mate 10 Pro singelsim can be converted to dualsim the same way.

Please update here if you proceed by debranding L09 to L19, and would you really get dual SIM working.

Seems it is not possible. I have successfully re-branded my original L09c432 to L19c432, following the method:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75655371&postcount=453
but neither in L19c432b182, nor in OTA updates L19c432b383, L19c432b386 (even upon Factory resets with full wipes), there was no dual SIM functionality.
I.e., there were no settings for dual SIM, and the second SIM from the hybrid SD/SIM slot was never recognized (I was never asked even for its PIN.)
Although I experimented with two SIMs, exchanging their positions, using one or another SIM only in that second/hybrid slot, rebooting, factory resetting, restarting, airplane on and off, etc
Eventually I rebranded back and successfully to my original L09c432 by following the opposite way method:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75880423&postcount=633
L09 is correctly back, e.g. NFC is back and working (L19 does not support NFC). and I've OTA upgraded back to L09c432b397.
Apparently there is not only a difference in stock ROMs between L09 and L19, but also hardware differences: L09 has no dual SIM reader but it does have NFC chip, L19 does have dual SIM reader but no NFC chip
Hello, I have a Huawei P8 lite 2017 PRA-LX1 phone bought 3 months ago. Originally it had a PRA-LX1C02B158 Vodafone firmware (Nougat) single SIM, but after rooting, unlock bootloader and FRP and finally after many and many tries ( I can not remember all of them ) I followed Almironi procedure (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/p8-lite-2017-discussion/trying-to-update-to-oreo-t3814332) and the phone booted again apparently without any Vodafone files (even initial logo disappeared) and with Oreo version. The problem was that I thought that with f/w PRA-LX1C432 PRAGUE_L31 my phone will become dual sim. WRONG it still recognizes only 1 SIM card. Does any one really know if this phone can be flashed to a dual SIM version ? Does it have the necessary hardware since it only shows one IMEI ?
Sorry if there is already a post with this questions or if a broke any rule of this forum.
Many thanks in advance.

You cannot upgrade your phone from single sim to dual SIM. Dual SIM means that your phone has two slots for two SIM cards. Your phone has one. No software can change that.

Hi,
my phone has 2 slots. Slot 2 is used ether for SIM2 or for memory card.
Tks.
Hi. I have a mate 10 pro. Originally it was a branded bla-l09 mono sim. I, with funk Huawei, turned it in l29 dual sim. Now I have the need to turn it again in l09 and I think to do this with hwota8 (to save my money). This tool does not touch the mono/dual sim functionality. Doing this, there is a chance that it remains dual sim?
Thanks

Yes, because FH tool flashes an included (and disguised) oeminfo that is dual-sim. The included oeminfo changes your imei, imei2 and sn while in fastboot. Which in turn has also changed your bootloader unlock code.
HWOTA8 will only edit oeminfo to L09 but you will still technically be dualsim. I'm not sure how that will work on L09 firmware though. However, when you flash oeminfo you will have to unlock again, which will be impossible if you don't have your new unlock code (Acquired after you rebranded using FH).
What firmware are you on now?
Starting with BLA-L29C432B145 (The Night Shot update, so might already apply to all cust that has the new Night shot firmware) you can no longer get an unlock code from DC/HCU.

Thanks.
Yes I have a unlock code got after debranding with dc unlocker. Now I am in c432b148-sp1 (xloader 01).
ok i do all.
the situation is this: dual sim works! But in the settings, isn't any option to activate/deactivate sim1/sim2.
If i remove sim 2, It looks like a normal mono sim.
If i can manage it with a third part app... it was fantastic!
Hello everyone! Today I tried to unlock the bootloader of my p8 lite and, as you know, Huawei stopped me from doing that.
I have 2 questions:
1. There are alternative methods to unlock the bootloader of my p8 lite 2017 without paying (I searched the forum, but found nothing)?
2. Is legal what huawei is doing? I bought my phone and it should be mine, i don't understand why I can't install the OS i want upon it

If it was sold as single SIM (L09), you cannot 'transform' (by changing firmware) to dual SIM (L29), because there are hardware differences.
For any flashing (changing cust for stock firmware, custom ROM, rooting, TWRP) you have to buy Bootloader code and unlock Bootloader (it is possible but the code is costly)

They are expensive. I'm also waiting for their answer (people say they answer from time to time, they depend on an insider, when he is able...):
https://imei.by/delivery
Ministry can also do it, little cheaper (40$) but you will need to open back cover and connect Testpoint pins. Minister will need Team Viewer remote access to your PC. I guess (didn't go for, waiting if I can buy from the first above) he will low-level flash an old Oreo, where from it was possible to generate BL code. Then he would, IMO, update back to Pie. Guy told me the operation might take an hour or two:
https://ministryofsolutions.com/paid-services/amp
I was also told that those can provide the code but for ridiculously high price (you can ask them):
https://funkyhuawei.club/
Finally, don't use them, they only unlock BL for one-time (and high price) you don't get the code:

Exactly for VTR-L09 or some other Huawei model (it's not the same)
A year ago I played for a week and rebranded EVA-L09 to L19, tried a lot but it never became dual SIM.
To the other side, similar rebranding to dual SIM model worked fine and straightforward for P9 Lite
Edit: You could have provide a link to spread info and help the community (if single SIM P10 can be really rebranded to dual SIM)
This is what i got with MT tool
Can i install one of those updates and if ok how can i perform it
Thank's
