Is anyone else experiencing a slight rattle when you sit the phone down or tap it? Not sure if it's the vibrating motor or something?

That actually makes me feel more at ease. So it's not likely defective but more likely just a larger vibrator motor or something. Which, makes sense because the vibrating on this thing is strong.

It's funny that shaking it does not create the sound. Only laying it down on something hard.

Yes exactly. Or if you tap on the back.
I feel it rattling when it vibrates which makes it feel a bit cheap but haven't noticed that tapping out would make rattle as well which it does.
Could you please confirm that it rattles a bit when it vibrates on your device as well?

It doesn't seem to do that for me. But vibration does seem overly strong like on cheaper phones at times.

Ex kernel manager or other kernel tools let you adjust vibration intensity.
Ok actually all percentage values feel the same so probably some driver restrictions

Same with my A2. I located it at the camera or somewhere near. It is definitely not the vibration motor itself.

Maybe from the image stabilization?

Don't think so, since the A2 has no OIS.

It doesn't have ois. Edit: too slow
Oh ok, just EIS. Well who knows what it could be. Can't be a defective unit if it's the same for all of us.
With my device happens the same, and the rattle is quite loud, it even makes some vibration during calls with high volume. Everyone can confirm this? Im curious to know if it is a defect or all A2 are like that.
Can confirm it happens for me also
Same problem here. I am assuming that volume buttons are producing that rattle noise. If you take your phone in the hand and shake nothing happens, but when you tap just under camera lenses you can hear the rattle , volume buttons are only near and not fixed, so...
Hello,
I think the vibrations are the cameras, like in the A1.
I remember that in the A1 forum there is a similar post.
Sorry for my English, regards!
Not the buttons. Most likely optics in the camera that are movable for autofocus. Most cameras now seem to have this
I faced the same "problem". Same rattling like on the mi 4c.
Its the camera auto focus.
Same here.

Hey guys, I just got my Moto X yesterday, but the vibrator is very loud and is doing a rattle noise, it's very annoying.
Is anyone experiencing this? Any fix?
The vibration just sucks on the phone sadly
I always seem to have bad luck with vibration motors but not this time around. On my X it's super quiet, but plenty strong.
OP yes, its loud and it sucks....what can you do, I think the placement of the motor is what makes is sound and feel so bad.

Yeah what a shame, I might return it and maybe I get lucky and get back a better unit I don't know ...

If that was the case then they would all be loud. Again, mine is super quiet, and actually among the best of any of the phones I've owned. One of the first things I noticed when I first got my X was how great the vibration sounded.
The problem is the sound it makes it 'hollow', not really sure how to describe it....it doesnt sound like its defective or broken...just doesnt sound or feel 'right'

Not mine, it's very nice and high quality sounding. The vibration is one of the things I'm most picky about, and I'm super happy with the way my X sounds. I know last year's X had some units that were good and some that weren't. Mine was terrible last year but everything else was flawless so I lived with it.

Mine is quiet, feels almost as nice as a samsung phone, much better than my previous htc' s; on my htc one of the speakers had a problem and the replaced it together with the vibration, after that repair my htc felt a lot better no rattling. I would return your phone for warranty
Got it. Well I'm returning mine. Not for this 'issue' but gong with something different.
Same for me. Low vibrations but noisy. But I don't want to return for this for the moment.

Yeah, mine seems like that, not broken, but, strange, like if it is a little loose... It makes a LOT of noise, i will search for another moto X and see if it makes the same noise. I can hear the vibrations even when i press the keyboards buttons!
I just the Note 5 and noticed that the S Pen has a very noticeable rattle when shaken. The end that clicks in and out appears to be very loose and I can also hear it when I shake the phone as well. Is this normal or are some S Pens built a little more solid?
Mine rattles too, but as far as the functionality is not compromised I don't think that it's an issue.
I dont have a very noticable rattle. My spen has a rattle when I shake it but I have to try to hear it to notice the rattling. (If that makes sence). And I dont hear a rattle when it is in my phone, so I dont know what wrong. Maybe some are built better or it could be wear and tear. Do you know if yours is new or used?

I was shaking my s10 a small bit and noticed a slight rattling as if a screw was loose inside. Anyone else experience it? Could it be the ois on the camera?
I can't hear or feel anything when shaking mine.

Well OK, as long as I know it's normal, then I'm good.
Now I'll have to start a new thread for my phone "S10 not rattling inside" ?
While keeping my phone on a hard surface like a table or tap the rear top of the phone there is a slight Rattling noise. I was wondering if this was normal, or is it my product only. If it is normal , is it related to the pop up camera or the rear cameras? Phone is working fine otherwise
No, it is not normal. Phone should feel sturdy.

Anyone else experiencing this?
Yes, Recently I've also heard some rattling noise when I tapped the back of K20 Pro on my palm. Kind of weird. Might be coming off from camera sensor as other's are saying.
It's the camera sensor rocking when the phone gets placed on a first surface. It should be the same for all.
Is it normal that the Pop up camera does some mechanic sound when it pops up?
I read somewhere else that it doesnt make any Sound but I can hear one significantly. It sounds Like there is some sand inbetween.
Regards

If you have a different sound you can open the back cover, remove the metal plate above the battery and review the mechanism. The mobile doesn't boot with the cover open. Just review, put all back again and close the cover. Then try if you fixed it

Mine has this too, so it's not a problem then.
My girlfriend's mi 9t does not have this much sound, but now I'm not worried about this.
