On the past couple of Galaxy phones Verizon has blocked Samsung Cloud, because Verizon has it's own version. Today I got a notification to connect to Wifi so that my phone could back up. When I did Samsung Cloud came up and asked if I wanted to back up data, and make a icon on my homepage. I don't want to get excited just yet, but is this the same Samsung cloud every other carrier and unlock phones have. From what I remember Samsung Cloud was in the setting menu either in the Accounts tab or it's own tab. I'm just wondering if this is the same Samsung Cloud.

[Q] Unable to sync Samsung account. "sync is currently experiencing problems"
This is only happening with Contacts and Calendar on the Samsung Account Sync. All other accounts sync up fine and such.
I've tried deleting the account association and then reattaching the phone to my Samsung account. I can edit my Samsung Profile fine, but if I try to sync it keeps coming back with the "sync is currently experiencing problems" error. I have even tried deleting the contact data and cache along with contact storage data and cache to see if there was a glitch in the data causing it but no dice. Did the same to Calendar and calendar storage and same thing, no dice. This WAS working with 4.4.4 but stopped after the upgrade to 5.0.1
Unit IS a T-Mobile Note 4 910T running on StraightTalk with an AT&T Sim from my old Note 3 that died horribly. (Sadly the Note 3 went for a trip in my clothes washer and didn't survive... ) Would the fact that it is using the old Sim from an AT&T for StraightTalk have anything to do with this? It was suggested that StraightTalk would use a different Sim for a T-Mobile and have the phone run T-Mobile's network instead of AT&T but I don't know if that is true or not. I know many here know a LOT more than I ever will from my old T-Mobile MDA days so came here. (And that old beast STILL runs awesome and won't die!)
Anyone have any helpful suggestions to try? Just backed up with Kies3, also backed up with Titanium Backup Pro and have a full TWRP backup too so willing to try anything but about to give up on Samsung Account. (It's not TOO important that it is needed, just hate having SOMETHING not working right when the rest does!)
How are you guys restoring your stuff from your old to new note when you swap it?
Looking for something that backs up app data. Setting up Samsung Pay with 4 credit/debit cards isn't fun. Smartswitch didn't back up app data but I heard Samsung Cloud might.
Also the whole logistics of this situation is ridiculous. Are we supposed to sit in the store for a half hour waiting for everything to transfer?
I opted for the loaner S7edge and was told that after I swap my Note7 flammable edition for a new and hopefully non-flammable model, I would be responsible for sending back the loaner phone. All this setting and resetting is upsetting to say the least!

Well i call my tmobile and they said on the 21st they will have them.
So im going to backup using the smartswitch app on my pc.
Then use the samsung cloud sync and move everything else to sd card (most is already there).
Do all this right before i go to the store and i shouldnt lose to much stuff.
When i went from edge 7 to note 7. I lost spay data (good thing tho), most app data was online already. (Auto or manual sync and online games)
So really only had to log into my accounts.
Which isnt a bad thing. Stops other peolme from getting your info if they somehow got your backups.
But yes it does suck switching phones.

I'm very happy to see that Samsung pay will now support cloud sync. I lost the Samsung rewards card when I factory reset my note, and had to call to have it added. It still isn't there and I'll try again to get this resolved once I have the new device. I plan on using Samsung cloud for restoring my Note 7. I already had to set everything up when I got the S7 edge to replace my note 5(two weeks before release), then when I first got the Note 7 and then again when the phone was buggy and needed a factory reset. Too much, and I can't wait to do this on my new phone to be done with it for a while.

So Samsung Cloud definitely does work?
I did a factory reset on my Note 7 after setting up the cloud and had no issues. Before it was called "samsung cloud' I had backed up what I could from my Note 5. Most important was call log and text messages, and they all moved from device to device with no issue.
Does anyone have a Gear S3(AT&T LTE version) and got it to work with NumberSync on their International Note 8(SM-N950F)? AT&T chat seems to have no clue as to why it won't work(I'm basically thinking since it's an international version and not branded At&T), but the reps can't confirm that. They just say buy a new device that is NumberSync capable, but when I ask them which phones are those, they can't give me an answer..
They thought it was my IMEI, which at the AT&T store, they had to spoof the IMEI from my Moto X Pure Style to get the 4G/LTE to work correctly.
It would just be great to have the NumberSync to work, but I have no problems with the Bluetooth connection for now.

Have you tried reseting the watch?Numbersync works in part with the stock messaging app. AT&T advanced messaging syncs your messages to the server and then it gets forwarded to your Gear. For numbersync to work on the international version you will most likely need to odin the AT&T stock image since it wont have the Advance messaging or try installing the advance messaging files. I've had my fair share of numbersync issues but eventually it got better with my S3/S8+ and now Note 8.

Hmmm... I see you have a US version of the Note 8, so you're probably in a better situation than I am atm. My Note 8 on my account only shows up as unknown device. I haven't been on this page as much since rooting my phone, so I'll follow up on the CSC flashing or ODIN AT&T image, if that's possible now. I'll look for Advance messaging as well. I know the Gear S3 still shows that when not in bluetooth or Wi-FI, it shows remotely connected, I still get notifications of miss calls from my phone, so it's sending me notifications in that sense, limited...
Thanks for the mentioned options, I'll look into them.
I tried to access NumberSync through my account but it says note 8 not compatible
Make sure you are signed into the myAT&T app. It uses that to sync your info/number.
Okay so I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 that's originally on AT&T but I have a Straight Talk SIM card that I want to use in my Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The problem is is that I also want to use my Straight Talk hotspot but on most AT&T phones it does not work. Is there a hack for this? Or there is there a way to reprogram? Or do I have to root my note 9? Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi's you're my only hope.
I have the same problem
Has anyone found a solution to this?
I just received notice this week that Straigh Talk is now including 10GB Hotspot on my plan but on my ATT Note 9 (SM-N960U) when I first attempt to turn this on I get notified that it is not supported on my account. I've chatted with their support 3 times this week, and they keep applying the Hotspot to my account and I've rebooted my phone multiple times but still yet I get this error message.
Now funny enough I can still actually get the Hotspot enabled and I can connect to it from my other devices; however, they are not able to browse the internet when they get connected.
Really hoping to get this resolved before to long.
I have a Xiaomi Mi 10 smartphone e un Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 lte
I knew that with a NON Samsung smartphone I would have some limitations in its functionality. This happens to me:
every time I try to start Bixby, it asks me to connect to the Samsung account from my smartphone. However, the phone is already connected to the account, I try to log in again but the request becomes an infinite loop.
I also tried with different accounts, obviously with no results.
Same behavior occurs if I try to install a watch face or application directly from the watch via the Galaxy Store icon. Here too it keeps asking me to log into the Samsung account through the phone, endlessly. Is there any solution about it? Is it possible to have Bixby running on Xiaomi?
Thank you
