Mobile data usage warning maybe?
It sounds like you've turned data saver on, I've done the same thing in the past and it took me ages to figure it out.
Just search data saver in settings and turn it off (or leave it on if you want to save data and your ok with the hideous icon).

Hello,
I have a very annoying problem. When I start my phone and have to enter my pin-code, a pop-up comes right up saying he's trying to connect to 3G. That pop-up blocks my screen, so I can't enter a number. As soon as I click ignore, the pop-up comes again, so on, so on...
When I finally manage to get the phone to start up, the pop-up is gone. But as soon as is loses network, it starts popping up. When I hit ignore, it pops up again and again.
It's very annoying, so isn't there an option to manually connect to 3G, so that as soon as the phone is on, I can connect to 3G, so that I don't need 3 minutes to enter my pin-code...
thanks very much, this would save me a lot of time and stress
if you dont use 3G you can turn it off in the comms menu

I know, but I do use it, I just want to activate it manually, so I don't get the pop-up....
Hi - this is my first post. If the popup message that's appearing is the one I think it is, then you can turn it off - without losing 3G access - by doing the following:
Select <Start> then <Settings> then the <Sounds & Notifications> icon..
Click on the <Notifications> tab then choose <Connection Established> from the <Event> picklist - you should see that the <Display message on screen> selection is ticked.... then untick this and <OK> then no more annoying popups.
for your first post, that is a great one thanks mate
EDIT: doens't work I need the same thing for "establishing connnection" or something, because then it pops-up, and that I can't find in the event list... but thanks anyway!
nobody else has an idea????
I keep my Tilt connected to a PC all the time when I am not using it.... To charge it, and transfer files etc.
The problem is that it never appears to turn off when connected, specifically the screen. Now I don't know if phone screens really suffer from any type of "burn-in", but I'm sure there is some type of limited life on the screens.
I have set the Start > Settings > System > Power > Advanced to turn off the device on external power after a couple of minutes, but it does not appear to do anything.
The settings in Start > Settings > System > Backlight > External Power does seem to work. I set it to turn off backlight after 30 seconds and it does.
I often hit the power button on the phone to turn it to standby when I go to sleep but the screen is often on again when I get to it. It think if it gets a call it might wake the screen, and never shut back off.
How can I ensure that the screen stays off (or powers off after activity) while the device is connected to the PC?
thx
Well there is a light in there that can burn out. Um, what happens if you hit that side button that turns that light off? Works for me when my preciouses is blugged into my comp.
the problem with pushing power button when connected to computer...it turns the screen off, but also breaks the connection to Active Sync for some reason..it charges the phone but activesync connection goes down.
but im a newb on the tilt so there might be an option to enable active sync with display off.

ooooooh you know what, whenever I close wow out when I'm done, there is a window saying that active sync was disconnected. I just thought it timed out or something. Hmmmmm
After is has synced do you really need it to keep refreshing?

That works, but the problem is if someone calls (or maybe if some other notification comes in...SMS, email, calendar appointment) it lights back up and stays on.
I'm not concerned with ActiveSync disconnecting, I just want to plug it into my computer to leave charging and I would rather not power the device ALL the way down.
-thx
I guess I need to pay more attention to mine.

There are programs that you can install that will shut off your screen but leave the rest of the device active. I wouldn't worry about the screen burning though. My Wizard was on like that all the time for over a year (stupid WM6 bug prevented you from turning the phone off if it was plugged in to USB), and my screen never showed any adverse effects.
As long as your backlight goes off, you will be fine.
ok, so as the title says. I installed kaisertweaks a little while ago and now it does not seem to be chargin when connected to the pc.
one thing, kaisertweaks isnt realled a installed program is it? it doesnt seem to be installed on my tilt, just a user interface that interacts with the phone.
when I plug up the phone, the light goes amber but after about 2 minutes it turns off and just blinks. I dont know if it was something I checked off or not, but I do not recall checking anything off to do with the battery.
i think u did check something and i know for sure in settings there is an option that disables charging when plugged to pc.
explore the settings especially battery.
one possibility is the option within your "power" setting menu...
click the power/battery icon on the top right corner & click the "advanced" tab ...
bottom portion reads:
"when device is turned on, do not charge the battery when connected to the PC"
see if the option is ticked !!!

this is the one i was referring to. thanks for exact settings option.
nope, it was unchecked. I would think it had to be something with kaiser tweaks but I didnt touch any charging settings or saw any that I know of. umm
Hi,
I need some help getting data off my broken Galaxy s6 for ATT (G920A). The screen broke down and does not come back on. To make things worse I do not have the developer options or USB debugging turned on.
I am able to hear all sounds from the phone after its turned on (including volume up and down after hitting the home button a few times since that unlocks the phone to home screen)
When I connect the phone to my pc by using the att cable, found new device shows S6 and an icon appears in 'My computer' on opening the phone folder its empty (I am guessing the phone is going to 'USB charging' option as compared to MTP or Midi)
Really hoping an expert here could give some suggestions if there is any way for me to get my photos and other data out of this device.
Appreciate all the help.
Thanks,
Matt
Anybody ells notice the send/receive arrows constantly blinking while on wifi? I had this issue on my G6 so now I know it's so to do with Android itself. Other than that, tried some Network monitoring apps and couldn't find anything. Only clue I got was it said it was coming from "android os" .... Tells me alot...

I see that too. At least on my work WiFi, the up/down arrows are blinking every couple of seconds, but arrow down sometimes stays for 10+ sec.
