I entered ##data# on the keypad and I think I pressed the check box for Sprint when by default it was empty/blank.
When I back out of the menu it shows Korea mode. Device seems to be working ok. Can someone on Sprint please check what their default values are supposed to be ? Thanks.
Type in ##data# then edit and enter password 000000.

Curiosity killed the cat. ???
Scroll all the way to the bottom. Tap on "More". You will be in a section called "Others". In this list you will see "Korea mode Set". Tapping on it brings up four options... "Korea Mode", "Sprint Mode", "India Mode" and "Mode Off". On my factory original Sprint Note 9 all of these options are clear with none showing to be selected by default. I simply tapped on "Cancel" and went back again and the same appears. No option shows to be selected by default. But this doesn't necessarily mean that one isn't actually set by default. It just looks as if none of these options is set as default. Once you change this option you will never see it clear as it was originally. Only a factory dats reset and clear EFS will revert to the factory condition.
Under "Korea Mode Set" mine shows "Sprint mode".
Like I mentioned in my first post it was clear like yours originally, So far no issues though.

So I tried to use a 320x480 version of swype on my vogue and it registers the taping of keys, but not the swipes. I'm assuming it's part of the double touch/ ****ty screen on the vogue, but does anyone have a working version? I've heard and seen that it's the new way to text... so yeah any ideas or help would be great
Was working great for me, check the nexus one themes and apps thread for the themed swipe versions. They install and swype just fine.

I was using a different one posted by jamezelle, but I uninstalled that and used the one scotter posted and that one shows up in the settings, but does not display the keyboard when I go to text... The other one did show up, it just didn't register my swipes:/ I'm using Myns Warm Donut... if that means anything...

Do a hold tap on the text input field, select input method, and choose swype.
Make sure its enabled in your settings.
Those are the steps I took and it worked fine for me.
Yup I just had to hold and change the input. Works great! Thanks.
Does anyone know how to remove the attwifi hotspot from the list of hotspots? With ICS I can no longer delete it with a long press and forget network. Also I no longer have access to the auto connect option. Where is the address stored and can it be reoved from the file?
Do you still have the ATTWIFI hotspot application installed ?
I have uninstalled mine and the ATTWIFI hotspot doesn't show up.
i have removed all of teh bloatware and it is still there. Now I did find it mentioned in the /system/etc/wifi folder in the file wpa_supplicant. Anyone know if this will fix it if I delete or modify this file?
Go to settings/apps/ and you can disable any app with ICS

It is not an app I am trying to disable just the access point ATTWIFI so that my phone will not automatically connecto to it every time I drive by a McDonalds or a Starbucks
did anyone figure this out yet? i'm on on rooted stock 2.3.5 and have the same problem. and there are more of these damn 'attwifi' hotspots popping up. super annoying.
A long press on my phone gives me a menu with "Forget Network" (I bumped the volume switch while capturing screen):

Hello,

Translating from portuguese to english, in the purple letters, it says "Active".
Do i need to change this status ? If so, how ?
It's probably either WiFi network selection, or the Internet Sharing mode (I slightly doubt the latter, as that shows a bunch of other UI). It might be a special app to add hidden WiFi networks, perhaps?
Also, what phone is this, and what entries in Settings is this "access point" item between (what above it, what below)?
This looks like the Nokia App "Access Point +" and afaiu it is used for selecting network operator profiles.
Access Point is a feature in WP8 that has evolved from WP7 cellular (but just the data connection).
If some1 is using several SIM cards, it is very annoying to set up the phone for Internet and MMS especially if some1 doesn't know all the parameters. So AP+ helps us by saving all the data neccesery for setting up the device. Once another card is in, one simply has to select the network profile he wishes, and boom, the phone is instantly set up.
Also, one may mannualy add MMS and Internet parameters to the phone, and select that profile to use, instead of the default one.
So this star popped up in my notification bar. Removed any suspect apps, but it hasn't went away. Rebooted, still there. Suggestions?

Yeah I was puzzled by that today as well. Its for priority notifications only. Click your volume key. You'll see the toggle.
Fantastic! Thanks!
Random
Now that we all know what the star is, why does it randomly enable itself? I have turned it off in volume and in the system settings multiple times and every once in a while I will pick up my phone and it will be back on?

You've probably set up a predefined downtime. So it auto-enables itself at that time. Check under Settings > Sound & notification > Interruptions > Downtime
Moto assist. The meeting and sleeping modes enable it.
I have verified no down time is set. I've gone thru all of the settings that I can find that are related. I have turned off all of moto assist.

Here's how to activate the “Gallery Labs” hidden settings on Samsung smartphones
How to activate Samsung Gallery Labs
It doesn't take long to activate Samsung's Gallery Labs via the Samsung Gallery application, but we would like to point out right away that some options may vary depending on the version of Samsung's One UI installed on your device. In fact, if you have a smartphone with One UI 2.5 at your fingertips, as in our case, you will find the same options you see in the gallery below; otherwise, if you are among the many who use the One UI 3.0 or the very recent One UI...
Having made this necessary premise, we are finally ready to find out how to activate Samsung Gallery Labs. First you need to start the Samsung Gallery application, tap the magnifying glass on the three dots at the top right of the side and select the "Settings" item. Once you have entered the app settings menu, you need to scroll down, tap on "About Gallery" and tap repeatedly on the version of the app until the message "[Labs] appears on the screen. Gallery is enabled ".
Once this is done, you need to go back to the previous screen and locate the new “Gallery Labs” panel. Inside there are a series of "advanced settings" that normally cannot be exploited without activating this feature.

For quite some time! Or at least since OneUI 2.5 could be installed on the Note 8. And this thing I discovered by chance on the internet.
