Youtube low bandwidth/constant buffering above above 480p - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

I have recently upgraded my Note 8 to a Note 9. I'm a T-Mobile One customer with unlimited 4GLTE data. I'm having a lot of issues steaming HD content on Youtube as it keeps on buffering. My current download speed on the Speed test is 70mbps. When I look at the youtube data bandwidth it's only reading 0-1.5mbps.....
I called Tmobile technical support without any luck. I've tried everything, I have even hard reseted the device and the constant buffering it's still there. I have no idea what's causing this issues because now apparently the Tmobile One doesn't have the binge on feature that would be most likely causing this problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Do you have the One Plus feature? And if you do, did you enable HD streaming in your T-Mobile app for your phone number? One Plus was free last year for a promotion, if you added it after that promotion it was $5/month, then upped to $10/month, and now it's just been upped to $15/month. Without the one plus feature you will only be able to stream 480p video across all video streaming platforms.

If you just have T-Mobile One streaming is limited to 480p (DVD quality) you need the T Mobile One Plus add on which is $15/line and then you will get HD streaming

PIE Crashes on www.youtube.nl

Some help please my fellow kaiser users,
Every time I visit http://nl.youtube.com/?nomobile=1 pocket internet explorer hangs after downloading about 188kb of the site. It wont close, and wm6 stops responding to input..
I have used the site before, no problems, played streaming video content fine. Any idea's how to fix it? I tried restoring default regs/setting for PIE. Or is it just something with the website?
Could some just try to load this page on their kaiser and report if it works?
(Using PIE from T-Mobile NL original rom.)
SOLVED the PIE crashing on youtube
The activex control of the pocket IE flash plugin I was using, caused the system to become unstable when browsing to a site with a lot of flash.
By removing the flash active x control, I can once again watch youtube material.
Good for you dude, i still can't play streaming video through my TyTn2.
I use the KPN Mobile network, which network do you use?
I use T-Mobile PIT, 64kbps capped UMTS connection, but this is way to slow to watch youtube vids, so I'm talking about streaming youtube content over wireless lan connections only..
PIT is too slow indeed.
Still, my friend has Telfort and streams youtube without buffering once. Could it be that he's using HSDPA bandwith and therefor will receive a bill of one-kazillion-million Euros at the end of the month ?
Anyway, we'll just have to wait. In a year or so our Providers will surely get us some higher speeds.
mr4000, I am having the exact same issue. About 185kb it hangs. How do I remove the activeX control?

Flash Video Bundle

On wifi plays youtube flawlessly but the video stutters whilst on HSDPA...
Has anyone else got this problem ?
I'm sure I had it working pretty good before.
recent tcpmp problem too
I do not know if your having the same issue as I am. I had flashvideo bundle and tcpmp installed and working fairly well.
Now I notice that I can barely playback any youtube vids.

Youtube + Other sites work fine for me, check the signal strength of your HSDPA connection as that could be the problem, or maybe your provider has put a cap on how much can be downloaded to the phone?

Not sure if that is it as the network monitor shows 800-900 kbps whilst streaming youtube.
Could it be the way that the packets are hitting the TCPMP whilst over HSDPA ?
PPCs and PCs are affected by youtube changes!!
It could also be the fact that youtube are constantly changing the way their videos are accessed.
What worked flawlessly on my PC last week, no longer works this week (due to country limitations now). So if this is how youtube is going regarding PCs, expect problems on PPCs.

I've noticed the same problem viewing any videos. I'd give an answer, but I dont care enough about watching videos to search for an aswer.
I have been using the flash video bundle with tcpmp to watch video on youtube without any problems.
I'm new to this and I came across Flash 7 for Windows mobile and was wondering if this is similar, the same, better or worse than what I have now. I didn't want to install it until I have more info...

thats totally unrelated to the flash video bundle
edit:
ok not totally unrelated but they are two different things. installing flash 7 is not gonna make your flashvideobundle any better, its not like an upgrade to it
Sorry. I posted this question in a new thread and the moderator specifically said to post this in a Flash Bundle thread and shut the new thread down. Obviously I don't understand the relationship between these two things and would like some info. The moderator thought this might be a good forum for that.
There are other web sites I visit similar to YouTube that have videos. When I try to access them I get the message to download the latest flash player. I'm not sure why they aren't handled similarly to the YouTube videos, but if there is a connection between the flash bundle and flash player 7 as it pertains to this issue, I would like to know. Thats all. If not, then I stand corrected...
the flashvideobundle only works with the sites defined in the video sites.....you know what, why am i even bothering to explain this to you (i mean this in a nice way) i did write a wiki article just to answer these questions
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=FlashVideoBundle
"2.15 When I go to www.youtube.com, PIE hangs or my device hangs.
Some users have reported that the "Macromedia Flash 7 Active-X" plugin causes this hang and is incompatible with the FlashVideoBundle. You can try removing Flash 7 to see if it fixes this."
Thanks. This pretty much answers the question of compatibility. I have not seen the flash 7 plugin. Does it have similar/overlapping functionality? Obviously you have provided this bundle to play flash video so there must be some inadequacies to it (flash7).

I dont know what kind of problems you're experiencing but the new flash player is faulty (and yet, adobe does not remove the update from their site/update systems).
If you have it installed; there's a high chance that at a sudden point, videos will only play for 3 secs (without sound) and then stop.
Skyfire FTW
I now use Skyfire. It plays all video sites. even HULU, Monk....
hsdpa youtube glitch answer
the reason your phone plays youtube videos choppy when you are using hsdpa and not wifi is because the hsdpa signal is a highly compressed data packet that your phone has to uncompress which takes up a bit of your phones processor speed not leaving enough to play all of the frames of the video.if it really bothers you when using the hsdpa try downloading the video first then playing it first i guarantee it will play as smooth as silk.(before playing you also might want to close all other running programs as phones have limited resources ie. memory, processor speed.
Flash has become my biggest headache. I can play youtube just fine. The Youtube player in M2D update 20 plays smooth as buddah. What I can't get past is that half the internet gives me a message about needing Flash 8 or higher. Countless hours searching dead-end threads, useless links, and useless installs have left me without success. I can view most of these sites with Spyfire, but for obvious reasons, I prefer to avoid that browser. Opera is my default browser, and I dig it, but the Flash issue has me frustrated. PIE is no better. I can't even run a speedtest. I've run them with Skyfire, but because it's rendered through their server, it's inaccurate. I don't believe I'm getting 7.5MB/s with Edge, even tho my speedtests say so. If there's a way to get flash 8 content to run in Opera, it would be nice to see that info on the Kaiser Wiki, and eliminate all these threads.
As far as Youtube, like I said, it plays fine in the M2D update 20 package. I'm running the SPB 3.0 build 6411 interface with the M2D disabled in Today, and the youtube player still works fine.

t-mobile web and walk video problem last few days..

ok...so I've been using my diamond as a modem for my computer, using internet sharing and T-mobile Pay n go web and walk for about a year (UK).
Althrough it is a little slow at times when watching videos and you might have to sit there for a few mins every now and again to let it buffer, i've never really had any problems. Now the last few days it seems that T-mobile have restricted this somehow and seem to be cutting the connection every few minutes which means my videos stop buffering usually, (eg. Megavideo wont re-buffer once the connection has been lost, even briefly!) and I have to refresh the site and find my place on the video again, which is very annoying!!
I dont know how many people use their phone as a modem and out of those who do, who watches videos on their computer with it....but I'm really hoping that I'm not the only one who is experiencing this and its because its a fault with my phone!
Anyone?
Cheers
T- mobile have a fair use policy of 40mb a day on their PAYG. and are now inforcing this more now. have you changed the price plan resently cos this could be the reson as their are more restrictions on the new price plans.

i have the same issue. connected to wifi, good signal, etc. its hit or miss some videos absolutely will not start the spinner just goes on forever. and if it does play it almost always gets stopped.
ATT Device (google edition conversion 4.3)
YouTube app version 5.0.21
I had thus issue constantly when I was on WiFi using AT&T u-verse. If I disconnected and used 4g it was fine. Changed DNS and all that to no avail. Bandwidth was fine. Went with another ISP and the issue rarely happens. Plenty of factors involved sometimes though.

German Streaming Services for Chromecast

Hey, are there some germans around here using Chromecast to stream movies & series?
I'm currently using Watchever and I'm currently thinking of testing other services like maxdome too.
Which streaming Service has the best Quality and the most series available? And very important is the User friendlieness. Watchever for example doesn't always automatically start the next episode and the chromecast connection sometimes resets. Does someone had better experiences with maxdome or something else?
Btw: Maxdome currently offers 3 Months of Service for 7.99€ (~2.66/month), after that 3 months it is 7.99 per month.
The Folks who own your TV stations are dead set against a service like Hulu from being started there...

Netflix may be your only answer and thats not really german Centric as far as TV shows are concerned...Mostly American content with German Language I would guess.
