Help required with this guys if possible.
I bought a Samsung galaxy note 5, when I go to settings, about the model number comes up as a SM-N920F N920FUBS3BPJ1. But when I put the phone in download mode the phone shows it as a SM-SM920T model. The question is, can I flash this with odin with the new version 7 software to obtain the newest firmware. also can anyone tell me what the original stock firmware was,I'm in the UK and the phone is unlocked and presently using it on vodafone. Thanks.
I have note 9 (SM-N960F) I had changed my frimware from CAC(Kazakhstan) to INS (indain) frimware by using Odin software even after that it is showing the old country frimware CAC(Kazakhstan) please some one help me to change my frimware to Indian version
So, I recently switched from the s9+ to the Note 9. I flashed the unlocked variant from sammobile which is the SM-N960U1 as opposed to the N690U version T-Mobile has. When I go to check for OTA updates it doesn't work. I know there may not be updates currently but is this a problem because I didn't flash the CSC but the home CSC to keep all my data? Just wondering.
Hello.
I am using Galaxy Note 9 Korean model SM-N960N.
A few day ago, I have decided to root my note 9 and OEM Unlock my note 9. and flash twrp via odin and found custom rom.
but N960N Rom was hard to find......
I am flashing some N960F roms, and boot success.
anything was ok.
signal ok. sensor ok. call ok. sms ok. button ok. etc.....
Now I am using N960F AOSP Extended rom.
Question.
1. Note 9 Korean Model (N960N) hardware = N960F Hardware?
2. Can I Flash N960F Stock Firmware Via Odin?

Click to collapse
you can flash any custom rom for F version in twrp.
99%it will work. the 1 % that dont, you simply wont be able to boot. in that case just flash an other rom.
you should NOT flash stock firmware with odin for F.
your device is N so flash stock N firmware.
Hey guys...
Just got a used note 8 and I flashed it to Android pie with one ui (N950USQU5DSD3). Now the problem is that I can't update the phone via OTA. When I click software update its sticks at "registering device" with a spinning circle. Now I suspect that it's a U950W (my friend said it was locked with Bell and unlocked after the the plan ends). Now on sammobile.com the lastest firmware for note 8 (N950U) is N950USQS5DSF5. And I don't want to flash back to the Canadian version (n950w) because it doesn't get update as often as the n950u or n950u1 and it comes with a lot of Bell bloatware.
So for me to get a OTA without any bloatware, which version should I flashed?
Many many thanks.
