Older versions of OxygenOS removed on the OnePlus website - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Hi
I see in the support page of the OnePlus website, the downloads page have been removed. It only lets me download the latest version of OxygenOS, where can I download older versions still? And why are they doing this?
I can't help to think that they are going to kill off the downloads.oneplus.com website as well. If that is the case, will XDA have OxygenOS listed on their forum in the ROM section of OnePlus devices?
Thank you

They are all still there. You need to click on the link to see the older ones.
Edit: I just noticed what you mean after looking at the support page. I've never used that page but have always gone directly to the download site. Hmm

Thanks for having a look, do you think they will kill off the downloads page on their domain?

Not sure about OnePlus's history on this (keeping the old download links alive). But I never bet on anything (download-wise) staying on the internet forever. If older versions are important to you, then I would recommend saving them to your PC or some storage device. Storage is cheap nowadays. I always keep versions of old stock ROMs, TWRP backups, etc on my computer. Maybe that is the pack rat in me. But I tend to be over-prepared for any eventuality.
The threads below regarding the official updates have a lot of links to various previous versions. Good number of folks post links on non-OnePlus mirrors (Google Drive, other file sharing websites) and you can often find these links interspersed throughout the thread. The first thread is the current official OOS thread. The second thread, is the old one from FunkWizard, which has a lot of links to older versions - depending on exactly how "old" you are looking for. But again, those links won't last forever (some are already dead).

[UPDATE] OnePlus has officially killed that site!!!!!
Try to go to downloads.oneplus.com and it redirects to their main page with only 1 ROM!

Thank you so much! I feel that this should be listed on XDA, have you suggested it to one of the admins?

This is very minor, but I see that there is no release notes in the description, I have a lot of those for the 3T. If you like me to give it to you, please feel free to contact me

You don't need an admin for something like that. SpasilliumNexus can start a new thread. If it is deserving, you can ask a mod to make that thread "sticky" (but that usually takes some general consensus). Or if there is an existing applicable thread (Index, guide, etc.) then ask the author of that thread to add the links.

OnePlus pulled OOS 5.0.5 and 5.0.6 from the official Download site
Does anybody know, why OnePlus had pulled OOS 5.0.5 and 5.0.6 for the 3t?
I wonder if this is a revocation by intent (if so: why???), or just an unaware web designer. Sadly enough OnePlus doesn't like to answer my question: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/download-oneplus-com-where-is-oos-5-0-6.933687/
Interestingly 5.0.6 download is still available for the OnePlus 3.

Since the officials start threads in the forum I wouldn't have thought they don't answer questions. SCNR: I should have hijacked the 5.0.6 announcment thread... *lol* Anyway, this didn't answer the original question...

[Recovery][Z2 Pro]TWRP 3.1.x versions for Z2 Pro roundup

First off, not my development work; just trying to make a thread to point people to for downloading various current builds of TWRP for the ZUK Z2 Pro in the appropriate section. There's a great guide here by @MariosFFX that includes instructions, but the link is to Mega (fast unless it's filtered where you live) and it's for old versions.
So right now there seem to be three functional builds of TWRP 3.1.x for our Z2121:
1. The one most people seem to be using is 3.1.0 from zukfans.eu by n2k1 that you can find filed in the German forums (instead of in the Z2 Pro section, where it used to be before they closed that thread because all the discussion was in German), in this thread. Direct download link here. But this one may also have error 7 trying to install some ROMs...? I haven't used it in a long time because I think it was failing to install some of SY's newer builds of RR & AICP a few months back, so I switched over to the LR.Team one instead.
2. The "Chinese forums" one people point to has been version 3.1.0 but has been getting updates & modifications all year, with the most recent update being June 17. It has some nice touches (and/or shoot-yourself-in-the-foot buttons) like a button to reboot directly into EDL (port 9008) mode for QPST/QFIL flashing, unroot scripts, prompt to install SuperSU 2.79, and exposes more partitions to the graphical front end for mounting/backup/wiping like /persist. On the other hand, screwing around with those might end up borking all your sensors and baseband firmware and killing your cat while trying to overzealously clean up after a failed flash that's bootlooping, so y'know; YMMV. If you're feeling adventurous and like using Chrome's built-in translate features (or read Chinese), find the Lenovo BBS thread here, Baidu download site here (you'll need to enter "qe3d" as the password before you can select & download). This is not for the faint of heart; it actually wouldn't let me see any files to download in Chrome, but by using that to see how the site worked, I could load it in Edge (all Chinese, good luck!), click the right things, and it started to download.
If you're not feeling brave, I put the June 17 version up on Android File Host here because the only versions I've seen linked here were the March 14 build.
3. Looks like @davidevinavil actually built a version of 3.1.1 for the Z2 Pro along with their incredible work on AEX, and just didn't mention it in that thread. But I went poking on their AFH profile and found a Recovery folder as well, with a working build that I've successfully flashed and used for a week or so. It looks like it was ported straight over from a Z2 Plus version (I mean, the phone identifies itself to my Windows 10 computer as a Z2 Plus instead of Z2 Pro or Z2121 when using that recovery), and there's some interesting translation choices (calling it a "digest" instead of "md5 checksum"), and only shows Cache, System, Data, Firmware, and USB-OTG partitions in the Mount menu. You can find it here. (And broseph, if you want me to take down that link to your work, just let me know.)
Again, none of this is my work. I just see links up in the Q&A section instead of the Development section, or linked from ROM releases, or pointing to old versions, and not an actual thread in the right section for linking to current builds of TWRP. Got another hot lead on active development of TWRP for our Z2121? Put it here!
Thanks for that !
I use the "China/US" LR.Team 3.1.0-0314 version of 2017-03-13 from the original guide of MariosFFX and I had no issue while installing newest ROM.
Thank you ! I'm getting now the latest recovery by L.R Team ! I had a twrp build that reset the rom each time I entered in recovery mod haha. Now with the latest TWRP by L.R team, I will never get an "auto-reset" !

The Z2 Pro section is English only? Okay, that seems more foolish than anything. My apologies.
Surely they don't intend for development threads to be scattered across all the different language discussion areas... The logical thing would be actual flashable ROMs/recoveries/other development in the device section and links to discussion in the appropriate language.
I'll be the first to admit, as an American, I'm jealous to see a thriving multilingual community.
But the thread started in Z2 Pro section (which you linked to), was closed to further responses, and moved to German section by the admins. I'm content to follow the German language discussion using Google translate, but moving the actual development thread out of the device section & closing that thread from further updates is what seemed like a backward way of doing it to me.
But I'm getting off topic. I'll remove my editorial comments from the OP, this probably isn't the place to discuss the behavior of admins of another forum entirely.
You have tried to restore a backup with the recovery of section 2. Chinese forum?

WOW! This is the first build of Lineage that works great on my tab! Didn't test fingerprint but autobrightness and camera is working great. Thank a lot. On T710 by the way.
See my signature for twrp 3.1.1-0 for both gts28wifi and gts28ltexx.
Please note that twrp 3.2.0-0 has just been released! I'll be working on bringing it up to the Galaxy Tab S2 2015 tablets as soon as possible
On a related matter, I own a 9.7 wifi variant and I build for it daily. Netflix doesn't work with the official gts2-common repo, but if you use mine it will. I kept a long since abandoned fix which has worked very well in my builds.
Do we need gapps, thank you sooooooo much for this!!!!

I flash pico on my phone and tablet, but even stock or higher should work if the builds are from official sources. I also recommend Magisk if you wish to root. If these builds have su root, Magisk simply uninstalls it before installing itself.
bonuzzz, you did what most (self proclaimed) devs failed to achieve and deliver for the T710/715 in the last months! i just installed the ROM and tried it out the last few hours. finally got a clean and reliable android for my T710.
it's working really smooth, no issues so far. everything - including bluetooth and fingerprint - is working perfectly [edit: haven't tried it, since not needed: according to some posts in this thread stock camera doesn't seem to be working properly]. i am really anstonished and amazed by this great initial release, thanks a lot. i hope you keep on delivering such a good work.
many thanks and best regards from germany
For me on my T710 the microphone did not work. So it isn't in perfect working order yet and the battery drains quite fast, but it's miles better than the previously shared builds here on XDA, and most certainly usable.
I also had issues with certain apps not working properly, so I ended up going back to stock for now. (more precisely: the Antutu 3D part and the Focus gallery application).

Sorry if twrp is spam. Best of luck fiddling around with lineage recovery. For everyone's sake, I hope that Netflix works on your builds.
Thanks a lot for this build. An important progress for the T710/T715.
And also thx for the current TWRP link @ripee, missed that one.
Camera app force closed. Dont save any pictures
If you use a third party app like open camera, it actually works really well.
Either way, the microphone doesn't work at all, as in all roms for this device, and sadly it is a deal breaker for me since I use my tablet for video calls all the time.

open camera same problem.
My twrp recovery is old. I update this and I will try again
Having used this ROM for the last few days on a T710, I experienced a very stable system. UI was always smooth, no serious issues so far. :good:
However, I observed some strange behaviours/minor issues:
Fingerprint unlock isn't always working reliably. Sometimes, when trying to unlock the lockscreen, the finger on the fingerprint sensor doesn't seem to be detected and the PIN has to be entered manually.
LiveDisplay is not always active when the device comes from sleep and has to be unlocked. Upon the next sleep/active via short press on the power button iteration, the LiveDisplay mostly works as expected.
Once, presumably a wakelock drained the battery throughout the day until it was empty and the device turned itself off. I don't know why this happened and can't reproduce it.
Altogether a very successful start for this ROM, I will keep it on my device and hope the dev keeps on working on it to further improve it or even update to Lineage 15.x...
Thanks, @bonuzzz!

If your building it, wouldn't you want it all together so you could track it easier? Now you'll need to read all the threads that you've posted this into to find the results.
I know we all appreciate you doing this. But please make your own thread for it so we can all see what's going on. Without having to read through the 4+ threads this is in.
Keep it up. It's nice to see our tabs still getting some love. Thank you. ?

Good luck with that has its just a poll asking if he should start building Lineage 15 with Go Edition config instead of regular config. So far more people have voted against Go Edition. There is no actual Go Edition builds for titan.

I m still looking for the related thread for the Go Edition.
I have been able to find the repo on AFH and there are two folders 15.0 and 15.1. The last build of 15.0 is on 4th of DEC 2017. After that only 15.1. Not sure if 15.1 is the Go edition or regular as the file size is almost close.
This is the link for 15.1 Builds.
The build shared in previous page (lineage-15.1-20171209_143404-UNOFFICIAL-titan.zip) is available in this folder and it has beed mentioned previously it is GO version without the GO naming.

Check Luk1337's post. It has 2 links. One is AFH and the other is poll. Go version might still be in the AFH link if you're not too late already.
Android Go version is named this
"lineage-15.1-20171209_143404-UNOFFICIAL-titan.zip"
And how do i know systemu is it go edition?? I see normal android 8.1 -15.1 lineage, i download what you post, version
20171209_143404
I only saw 3 posts of people who have tried the go build of LOS15.1. Its sad that its been seen as not feasible. So there was one guy complaining how animation looked worse and made the phone cheap. By todays standards its already a cheap low end phone. I would not care as this is not my daily driver anyway. I just need an optimized OS for the simplest tasks without any lagging.
those who want Oreo GO version just download the latest version of LineageOS 15.1 titan oreo rom after that flash oreo addon file thats it guyz all the link given.......follow the LINK = https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73900030&postcount=408
how good is this go version? I just got a moto g2014 non lte. and wanted to install some custom roms, how about this rom bugs?

[MODULE] PNG patch for OP5T OPLongshot

This module patches OPLongshot's code so that it produces PNG screenshots, as it should, instead of JPEG screenshots (ew!). It patches only the VDEX/ODEX files, which have no signature on them — only the APK is signed, which we do not modify, so OPLongshot still retains system signature privileges. The original APK is included to avoid version mismatches (although I don't think there will be much issue even if it isn't includd).
Note that the OPLongshot was taken from the OnePlus 5T's system image. YMMV for other devices on OxygenOS (or even HydrogenOS?).
The current version uses the version of OPLongshot from OnePlus 5T OxygenOS 5.1.0/5.1.1 (same), with version 1.1.0.180328153957.6a699c8.
Remember to clear Dalvik/ART cache after installing this.
GitHub repository (also details of how the patch is done).
Download zip (temporary until the Magisk repo bot refreshes)

Could you upload the APK and odex/vdex files?
Are you going to port it to OnePlus 3/3T devices?
Does it works with the OP5 ?

I've attached the latest the OPLongshot folder (taken from the latest OB14 for the OP5 and zipped). Looking forward to the modifications for this version as well for the OP5, whenever you get the time. Thank you!

We will no longer update this great module
We? Hope for an update! jpg must die..
Sent with much love & Android. OnePlus 5T
Would be great to see an update, no longer works on Pie for OP6.
This was meant for the OnePlus 5T stable builds only (as the title states); I don't use the beta builds, nor do I own a OnePlus 6. That the modified vdex even worked on the beta builds and non-5T builds was not intentional.
Someone else can follow the method I have detailed to create modules for the OnePlus 6 and the 5T open betas.
The current version works on OxygenOS 5.1.5 for OnePlus 5T (the APK did not change from 5.1.4 to 5.1.5).

About vdex2dex, did you use it with the entire AOSP tree or do you have a standalone version with dependencies?
If you do have a standalone version (which I couldn't find) can you provide it?

I used it with the entire AOSP tree. Sorry.
Can i just use it in Oneplus 3??
Sent from my OnePlus3 using XDA Labs
Is there any timeframe on when Pie support for this module will be implemented? It worked fine for me in the previous beta version, and now I can only take screenshots with the module disabled since I updated my OP5T today.

Yes, we need this mod. Sadly I can't do it myself.. but maybe I can help you out with the needed files, OP?
OP Longshot seem to still be at ver. 1.1.0...
but there is a new folder inside the path of OP Longshot called "lib". Inside that folder is a folder called arm64, and inside arm64 are two files calling "libencryptjni.so" and "op_encrypt.so" maybe these are the reasons the old magisk module won't work? i don't know for sure, but i know that these folders and files aren't present in the magisk module.
I would buy you a beer OP, for updating this mod. :good:

I followed the instructions as mentioned in the GitHub readme, and I ended up successfully getting a modified version.
Sadly though, it doesn't seem to work on android P
I have updated the module, based on OOS OB20 (OP5T) but should also work for OB22 (OP5). Cheers.

Question TWRP

We badly need Twrp for this device. To me actually even Twrp was surpassed by that great small recovery OS which was Orangefox, still functioning well in i.e. Oneplus 5.
There is a Chinese web site (will post it in the future, don't have it with me now) which lists a series of tools for the latest Oneplus devices, and TWRP support is listed as in development.
Let's hope it comes soon...
Any news?
It will be nice at least to have in stock recovery option to clear cache, eventual dalvik cache
We do not have a dedicated recovery partition on our device (it's actually the same for MOST recent A/B devices). The recovery is actually part of the main operating system, basically using the same kernel as the main system. Even if we manage to compile a custom recovery for our device, it won't be really useful for installing zips, as it will be overwriting itself if installing those zips.
In realitty is a midranger phone... so not so important... And if you look at our device on xda forum is almost dead. Unused.
We have a TWRP in testing. Will publish after some testing and if everything goes according to the plan.
Currently we have used files from CPH2423 i.e. 80W variant.
Will update soon.

It's still under development; the TWRP tree is 80% complete. Just few rounds of testing and it should be available for public.
NOTE: As of now TWRP will be only for OOS12.
As soon as public release is available, I will create a new thread on xda and I can also let you know here.

The devs are still working on it. Some issues were there. They want it to stable before they can release it, since no unbrick tool is there.
Simultaneously they are also working on Device Trees for custom ROM.
