I am looking for a good camera app that supports live photos (like iOS) with sound not just video. I know the Samsung camera app has motion but no sound included. What do you suggest? I have seen live photos on iOS. I am using Camera MX but are there other camera apps that support this.

Did you ever find an app? Are you able to backup camera MX somewhere online or does google photos support it?

Just incase some of you haven't tried the free vedrsion (or bought the paid version) of this app, you should. It takes an okay camera and makes it much more interesting.
The HDR photos are intense! Very cool app all around

I was wondering if anyone know how to open all the pictures from my phone in the video app. I went to camp recently and i used my canon dslr to take pictures. For some odd reason, i can only see the pictures when i use the photoviewer app but not in the video editing app. Any suggestions? The picture format that was used is jpg.

Downloaded sony's timelapse camera app from Sony select and noticed there is a 4k feature you can choose, is this a clue 4k will come without the need to root device?

I dont think so, because that app is not sony's official app. I think its just their(SUKROS or something ) way of promoting the app. Because 4K option in the app is not free, its a paid feature.
Never going to happen to be honest.
The 4K & 120fps MOD works with the newly released .108 firmware.
It's timelapse, most likely it just takes picture of size of 4k resolution (3840*2160 or 8MP) and puts them together to make it look like a long duration time lapse.
We all know it's doable (TimeShift and 4K), sony would show their support by doing so.
But, I honestly don't think they would either!
1. What is the best video converter for the Z3 Compact? Do I even need one? Will the Z3 Compact play 1080p videos just fine or must they be 720p?
2. How come there is no WhatsApp message counter notification on the app's launch icon? Other apps like Facebook's Messenger display a number on the app's launch icon for the number of new messages. WhatsApp doesn't have that on Android for me (I know it does on iOS).

You don't need to convert your movies, it's simply just drag and drop. If you use the stock movie app you'll probably encounter problems with codecs, so I'd advice to use MX Player instead. As for the resolution, 1080p will be down scaled.
I have no idea about the WhatsApp counter. You can probably use a mod or something in order to get the counter, but you'll need root.

Just remember Z3C can play 4K videos. 1080p is just too easy

Yeah, but it's like watching a 4k film on a 720p monitor, you'll be able to watch it but it will never be of the same quality as an actual monitor with 4k resolution.

Play a 720p video and then play a 1080p video on your phone. You'll notice the drastic difference in quality

Thanks for the replies.
Anyone else use WhatsApp? If so, can he/she confirm that there is no WhatsApp new message counter on the launch icon for the app (at least for Android)?

Is it possible with default camera app?
Thanks!!
+1 on this, have been searching everywhere and nothing.
+2 Been searching for that too
+3, interested if there is an official way. Photosphere on Gcam mod works, that's 360
They got rid of the Surround Shot feature so it wouldn't compete with the Gear 360
I have the APK but I couldn't get it to launch
