Before I switch to Galaxy Note 9, I used iTunes to backup my iPhone or send files from PC.
Then I'm confused while I'm trying to find the similar official tool on Samsung's website.
I still remember there was a software called Kies that works fine when I was using Galaxy Note 2, and I have it installed on my PC.
The problem is that Kies seems outdated, it dones't work with Note 9 at all.
Am I using Kies in a wrong way? Or is there another official tool that I don't know yet?
---Update---
It seems like Samsung separate those functions into multiple products.
And finally I found a solution:
Backup: Samsung Smart Switch
File transfer: Samsung Flow
Sync: OneDrive (Didn't find Samsung's official tool. So I choose Microsoft's official one.)

Thank you. That would satisfy the backup part. But what about the file transfering, like automatically syncing?

You can backup most, but NOT app data...

Sounds like you're after Google backup and drive. Samsung are just a maker of android phones. Unlike Apple, you have an operating system that does a bunch of stuff then the manufacturer puts some stuff on top.
Most of what you are after is built into the os.

Well, it's a whole new story in China. But I will give it a shot.
Try Samsung SideSync for using your phone from your PC and moving files around.

It looks like what I want. But bad news is that SideSync in Google Play is not compatible with Note 9. Also on its website, it says that SideSync is not available for the S9/S9+, as well as Note 9. But I will try it with an apk file anyway.

Hi all, I just upgraded from Galaxy S4 to Note 4. I had Office Mobile installed on my S4 but when I try to download for the Note 4, I get "Not Compatible with This Device". Anyone know why this is, what to do, or if it WILL be compatible at some time? Thanks!
same message for me...there are plenty of alternatives, so its no big deal
I just pulled the apk from my wife's S5 and it installs and works great. Same thing with the Starbucks app.
Neither is the Starbucks app. ?
I sideloaded the apk and it installed and works with no issues.
Taking Notes on my Note 4
A lot of apps aren't compatible yet. Developers need to update their apps. Redbox and Starbucks to name 2 I need developers to update.
I sideloaded it. Here's a link to the apk I used.
http://1drv.ms/1ron9Gw
Now that Microsoft has made Office Mobile a free app, can someone provide us the straight-from-Microsoft app to try to sideload? The linked version, here, is labeled com.microsoft.office.officehub-15.0.3414.2000-APK4Fun.com.
According to a comment at the "Microsoft Community," Microsoft has classified the N4 as a tablet. Hence the incompatibility.
FWIW, I've signed up with Microsoft to request a preview of the tablet version.
An option

Hancom Office that comes with the phone is much better IMHO but that is up to you. You either sideload the app if you get the apk or you can download an app that works ONLY on rooted phones called Market Enabler - there you can make the market believe that you are downloading from a GS3 or other common phone.

No, not at all. Proprietary Samsung software is need that can only be found baked into Samsung ROMs.

You can pair it and use a few features, but the whole thing's sole purpose - the Fit part - requires a Samsung account, which you cannot have on your device. Hence the thing would be pretty much useless in that regard. You's be better off with an Android Wear watch (which works like a charm).
I'm using it as well.
If you want I can share the working apk.
You can use everything except sport sync and weather.
Media controller, notifications are working well. Except for text messages, if you use the default Huawei SMS solution. Hangouts are working.
Even some third party apps are working. For example calculator.
Thanks for all I will try
Hey!
Looking to obtain the Samsung Note 8's system sounds for a short film project. I have a laptop running Mac OS X, and I'm hoping to not have to do anything irreversible to it (rooting?).
Are the system sounds on the Note 8 the same as they've always been on Samsung's phones, and is there a place I could maybe download them from?
I'm very tech literate — I've jailbroken every version of iPhone — but this is my first Android. Any advice? Thanks for your time!

I'd look in the international section where they have both root and custom roms. I'd download a custom Rom then extract those sounds you are searching for. I'm no expert, but if I remember correctly any Linux machine you can access should be able to let you open and extract/view what you want. Can't say about apple apps that can do the same. I also think Sammy liked to change and mix the ringtones/ notifications sounds from one device iteration to another. Some will be the same but others will be new.
Hi, installing a filemanager like efs file manager, you go to to /system/media/audio/ui just copy this folder to other location, is that what you are looking for? I just did i can compress it and send it via email if needed.

As the title says, is there any way to access your Samsung Notes from a website? I haven't found any way but it seems kinda ridiculous not to have this as an option.

If you have Windows 10, you can download Samsung Notes from the Windows Store. Login with your Samsung ID and away you go.

You could download the microsoft samsung notes app on your pc and link it up.
Thanks guys, I will download it to my personal computer but was hoping for a web based work option. I may just switch to a different note app that has the capability.
Samsung Notes on PC is far from good. Does not sync automatically and no search in handwriting. I do prefer Onenote for that, but onenote is far less powerful on the handset. It's a bummer. I often do on screen notes in meetings and they go straight into Samsung notes.

I am trying to use the Galaxy Store app on my Redmi Note 10S but it won't let me open it because it is not made for other devices.
Is there a module, ROM or other way to emulate a Samsung device in order to use this app?
My Redmi Note 10S has MIUI 13.0.6 and Android 12. I also have root access and TWRP installed.
Some Samsung users who want to use Galaxy Store apps not available in their region have found ways to circumvent it.
Maybe start there.
Try side loading the apk and firewall blocking before it connects to Samsung's server. I use older versions of Wearables and Good lock apps like this on my Samsung. It's all good as long as firewall blocked. The supporting services may need to be installed (and firewall blocked) as well like the Galaxy Store app for the apps to function. It will likely be a pain and take a few tries... it did on a Samsung
Scan all side loaded apps first with online Virustotal, do not use if there's ANY doubts. Better safe than hacked.
Here's an older copy of Galaxy Store, may not install on Android 11 or higher...

Do some searches... you're not the first. Unlike many of Samsung's newer flagship phones some of their apps are still highly desirable.

This is what's needed for some. These apps can raise hell on a stock Samsung so don't expect a hack(s) to go smoothly...
Used N10+'s can be had for $350 in good condition. Probably the best Note Samsung ever made and still a very capable workhorse.
Snapdragon variants hardware is more desirable but next to impossible to root.
