Unroot:
I think you can just flash stock firmware.
sorry
I'm sorry sir forgive me
However, you WON'T get back the KNOX warranty void to 0x0 it will always show 0x1 letting anyone who knows how to get to bootloader that it has in fact been rooted or the software altered...
Once you root a Samsung device (Exynos) it sets off an e-fuse that shows it has been altered as you would have unlocked your bootloader and altered the recovery partition too.
You may not receive OTA updates because of this...
I have an international Exynos Note 9. Just tried both methods described in this thread.
Method #1, using TWRP - the result is the phone shows as non-rooted.
Method #2, using pre-rooted kernel via Odin: the result is the phone is stuck in a boot loop.
As of now (2 hrs later), the phone is still in the loop, and using Method #1 does not seem to be working either now. Have I bricked my Note 9, where should I read on remedies?
Also, why didn't Method #1 work? I followed the instruction to the word.
Appreciate any insight.

Hi guys I have the latest firmware installed ( see screenshot) whenever I try to obtain root via chain fires autoroot or through custom kernel for n9208 my phone gets stuck at bootloader. Is there any way to fix this.
Ps the crom services app always force closes . And I followed every step on root tutorials
Hi, i got same problem with new firmware update, lost my root and tried to root again with chainfire autoroot, but didnt work, tried a couple of times...no luck, at this step i still can boot android, then tried flash xiaolu kernel...at this step i got boot loop, both space kernel also failed to boot, so if you havent flash any kernel with odin, you still can boot after flashing twrp recovery, but if you already messed with kernel, there no way to to fix it...better flassh new firmware, and use stock until someone can find a way to root 5.1.1, hope its help...

Isn't there a way we can simply downgrade to the last rootable firmware?
if you're on the latest firmware, i recall having to install the AOK2 bootloader to root my N9208 using the original root methods (not the Systemlesss Root method). check the TWRP thread for details. The situation may have changed, but when i upgraded my firmware to AOL1, i had to downgrade the bootloader to AOK2 to regain root.

How did you downgraded your boot loader? I am sorry but I'm really new to galaxy development.
PS is it safe to flash a firmware from December over my current version which is from march

check the TWRP thread for details and links to downgrade the bootloader. please note/remember, i downgraded from AOL1 to AOK2. not sure if this works with any firmware newer than AOL1. in my case, i reflashed the AOL1 firmware, then downgraded/flashed the AOK2 bootloader and then rooted using the original 9208 root method.

Hello, I have a ATT Note 3 Android 4.4.4 , (baseband version N900AUCUDNL1), (Kernel 3.4.0-3032228). I followed the directions of each rooting method. I have ran Kingo root method and ran Odin v.309 and v.3.10 root method several times and both these rooting methods have FAILED. Can anyone please help and advise me on how to root and install a recovery on this device. I appreciate any help.
I'm not 100% sure but I believe you need to be on NC2 in order to root.

Towleroot doesn't work on 4.4.4 you need to back date to 4.4.2 kk then towleroot will work install busybox and j. Rummy root checker, safestrap 3.75 install ST mind you it will say not active until you install a custom rom in one of the slots I believe you can just activate slot one without installing a rom and it'll put safestrap in a active State. Droidveiws is a good place to get the 4.4.2 firmware get the AP BL CP files the install via doing 3.09 it's simple. Me personally I like kk better than lollipop.

No, locked bootloader on that model. There used to be SamFail for root, but I believe it's been patched by Samsung through firmware updates.
Ok, thanks, I already have it rooted through samfail from when I first got it. (I never update unless it is buying a new phone) I was just hoping i could get twrp after so long. Thanks
Tried rooting my phone, now stuck on boot screen with VZW-N950USQS5CRK1, odin pass

It can be rooted. But not with Oreo, not yet anyways. We have to detail the the Rev5 FW first. If we can go from SafeStrap'd Rev5 Nougat to SafeStrap'd Pie, then we can go to SafeStrap'd Oreo as well.
i used to root all my devices but when i first got this phone a couple years ago rooting was going to loose some functionality
i would like to root my device now but cannot find any links on how to root the US no carrier variant that i own any 1 have any links to specific twrp or cf autoroot if that is still a thing

The bootloader on the N950U and N950U1 are locked and cannot be unlocked so you can't use twrp or cf autoroot.. There's ways to get root access but I don't know if your bootloader level version is supported you'll need to search that one..

Read this thread for root for SM-N950U/U1/W
But it's for bootloader v7 and below.
