First time installing crDroid to your MIX 2S, or coming from another ROM:
***To boot it up, use miui oreo as base, it doesnt boot on pie miui versions***
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
a)If somehow it isn't booting, you will have to format data (cause of encryption)
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
KNOWN ISSUES
-Volte (it might be my carrier too, test it by yourself)
-Gcam is force closing(MGC_5.3.015_MI8_V1a), i will try to fix it (it might take a while, cause im new in terms of compiling roms etc.)
No other bugs encountered yet, if you have any post in thread and i will try to help.
Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel
- have installed any mods such as Xposed!
- have modified system files

If you use a lock with root access, and not an application by the administrator, then fingerprint unlocking works fine
This might be crdroid specific issue.

when I work with the launcher, I have problems, if I launch the app / widget and then press the "home" button and re-launch it - the animation is disrupting.
A bug appears when using any launcher.
Okay, but this is probably crdroid source bug, since the trees i use are stable (i think).

NEXT UPDATE will be when crDroid base updates, i might fix gcam till the update comes, also i heard dt2w works for some people and for some not, i will look into it and try to fix it as soon as possible, bc im a human too, and cant use my computer(im still in school) all the time.

First and foremost: I am not the person behind CM11 releases,some days ago @tonyp said that he wanted that someone update his thread,so i offer myself. As of right now, there are several devs building CM11 for this phone. This leads to more builds and more builds to test. The best you can do is to test for yourself and see what suits your needs. The builds you find here are with clean CM11 sources. That is what you can expect. Requests may be welcome, but do not expect it to be bloated with a ton of features.

You should use cwm6.0.3.1 available directly from clockworkmod to flash it - twrp is apparently not usable!

Maybe it's better to let this thread clean with tonyp's source roms only.Because all roms here(@Firtecy's one and @BS86's one) are based only on his work and on hjunii fixes.CNBLACK also based his rom on hjunii work but tonyp made more optimization to his sources(for example in tony's rom are included slim gapps-to let the phone stay lighter)and CNBLACK roms has the screen bug that there isn't in tony's work based roms.So for me no need to include CNBLACK roms in this thread.

errors after latest build
hi to all
my p990 comes from a CM11 tonyp 01/20/2014.
Today I installed the latest build (27.05.2014) with full wipe and also the non-neon gapps of tonyp
I have this situation:
During the unlock sim, the error is on the first attempt "option with pin sim failed" on the second or third attempt the pin unlock the sim and I am asked to reboot but in the status bar I see that my signal operator number is present.
If the reboot everything begins again.
if I remove the sim and restart I have the second error.
"The setup wizard has stopped .."
I rebooted into cmw and did a full wipe but I have not solved
I installed the build of 20.01.2014 and it all worked out.
then again I did a full wipe and reinstalled the latest build (27/05/2014), without non-neon gapps this time, but still I get this error "The setup wizard has stopped .."

maybe you have to delete setupwizard.apk in system/app or in system/privapp in the zip and reflash all with full wipe..or go in twrp and delete it wit file manager of the recovery and without reflashing anything,should work.And gapps are already included,so no need to flash any gapps package(the package you flashed is for jb,not for kk)

it's a know problem with that rom.
Just tap the 4 corners of the screen (left to right, top to bottom) to exit the setup wizard and configure your account manually

maybe the problem is just that there is not?
If tapping on the screen doesn't help...then you can install a previous release, and flash the new one over it !

yes, now I'm uploading the build of 01/20/2014 which worked fine on my phone!

Ok. I've just installed the rom and tested some software and here's the results:
-Camera & Flashlight doesn't work
-Sound recorder is very quiet
-Audiofx doesn't work and it's laggy

Thanks for your feedback. Of cause we have some Bugs again. Camera & Flashlight is a main issue. Sound Recorder and AudioFX will be easy to fix.

We used a prebuilt boot.img for our device before. But it does not fit any more, So we created a new driver source for our camera.
It is not working any more for our device.

Well, real sad. It's the reason why i'm not leaving stock rom at the moment, just because the camera isn't working. But it will be fixed in the future? Or is it something that can't be fixed anymore?

This will of cause be fixed. But not tomorrow or the next days. First of all we need to rewrite almost the whole camera source with a lot of debuging.

@Runner85sx I've just found problem: when I try to enable Root Access from developer options there's only ADB. It's probadly something with ROM. I'll put a screenshot.
PS. I'm from Poland so it's in Polish.

Hello i completly remaked and upgraded old do not working module for new Magisk 17++.
Warning, dont work with Magisk 19++
Version for 19++ is fixed by DessertArbiter here:

My new name for this module is Volume Steps Plus for Magisk.
With this module you can change number of volume steps fo Call or Media how you want.
Preset is 25 for media and 10 for In-Call volume steps.
You need have instaled Magisk 17.0++.
And maybe (i am not sure), if this module don't work for you, try install BusyBox module for Magisk.
Command for edit values in terminal is:
su
VoSte
Must be write like you see. Uppercase V and S.
Important: If you have already installed older version when 1.2.0 or other Steps Plus module by some else, you must remove older version i Magisk frst.

Hello, its a same mechanism what me use too in module.
Maybe you must remove the version what you use and try install my.
You must reset phone after you install new module, and after you set new values, you must reset phone again.
PS: I tested it on Magisk 17.3 and module was working and on Magisk 18.0 i working too.
Command must be: VoSte - Must be uppercase V and S.

Strange, I first installed your module, rebooted, changed the values in Terminal Emulator and rebooted again.
You should mention that su is necessary in terminal.
Nevertheless it didn't work.
Which phone and ROM are you using?

I use LineageOS 14.1 and i have Magisk 18 with active Magisk Hide and Systemless hosts data.
It works on mimix2 xiaomi eu rom v.8.12.27 magisk v.18 Thank you

I tried this and the other module again, both are working for media volume, but not for ringtone volume. I guess it's a restriction for MIUI ROM.
Xiaomi.eu ROM 8.12.27 on Poco F1 with Magisk 17.3.

It is the same version, just few fixes in style and in text.
I tryed uinstall module from my phone, download here install it, but everythink is ok, i don't know what is wrong for you in module. New version works fine for me and old version worked too.
I always test it before i upload module here.
It works fine for me but when this module is active my device does not pass SaftyNet check in magisk witch is required for me to use some other apps. My device is Xiaomi mi A2 running stock android 9 pie and magisk v18.1

I come from RevOS based con Miui12 and just make what the OP say. Formar data and flash the last firm.
The ROM works very well, thanks! The only problem i notice is that anx camera doesn't work
to me the Anx camera works without problems, and the battery is very good

I use ANX v185 and 48MPFix v180 (v170 should be fine too). No problems. Do you install ANX with Magisk? You shouldn't do that with TWRP. Do you clean data after installing and give manually all permissions?

you don't need flash any firmware. Just do clean flash ROM and Gapps. At the end do format data, for me that works.

Format data
Reboot to recovery
Clean data (without system, firmware and vendor!)
Flash latest Magisk
Flash ROM
Flash Gapps
Format data
Reboot to system.
