Hi xda,
I've looking for method to flash unlocked preloader on device with last rom v9.2 from SPFT stock rom v6.1 found here on xda. If that possible, we can downgrade to v6.1 via SPFT, then root, twrp, etc.
I tried to find test point on phone board to make it recognized as emergency MTK USB Port, because rom v9.2 has locked preloader, and there is no way to use SPFT in normal download mode to flash. I disassembled the phone, disconnect a battery, consistently shorted a found gold pins to ground, and connect phone to PC, but no luck, phone isn't recognized by Device Manager at all, but red indicator is lit. With connected battery it can't get MTK USB Port mode to flash preloader. And i tried connect pins DP, DM, GND on board directly to USB D+, D- and GND accordingly, and no recognizion again. Also there is Rx and Tx pins on board, but I don't know how to use it, need more googling...
Does anyone have an idea how to make it recognized as emergency MTK USB Port to flash unlocked preloader first?

When windows mobile run - device can synhronize and activesync enable, but when I put device in bootloader by sspl or without them device only show as SERIAL connection not usb! I`ve tried to change cable, ports other OS on my laptops and other but I can`t connect to it in bootloader mode via usb...
where a problem hide ?
please, help.
1 connect the ppc to pc with usb cable
2 put it in bootloader mode while connected
worked for me this way.
bootloader problem
i've the same problem , i've tried everything without success. In order:
- change usb cable
-change usb port on my laptop
- change personal computer, reinstalling active sync
- change settings in "settings-connections-usb to pc"
- hard reset
Syncro works well, my phone works well but i'm not able to upgrade the LASAGNA ROM 'cause when i enter in bootloader mode, it stay only in SERIAL MODE. There's a workaround to install the rom from the SD card instead of the USB cable?
Is a cable' problem.
Change the usb.
I had te same problem, after works 100%.
I've tried with another USB cable but it didn't work. with the other cable i'm able to do everything like the original HTC cable i'm actually use. Do you think i should buy another usb cable? What are the specifications of the htc cable?

I tryed with another cable, don't work. I definitely exclude a cable problem. I think there's something wrong with the miniusb connection in the device. I would try to upgrade the ROM directly from sd card but the procedure in wiki don't work.
got it fixed
your overloading the usb port most likely old computer/laptop or power issues, i have the xv6700 so i can use the cradle for power from a wall socket then plug the other cable into the usb port. works like a charm
p3600 - only serial connect in bootloader
it has to be your pc drivers if your pc/laptop is vista there is a site with driver swap for xp drivers for vista pc/laptops. had the same issue and voila mines sorted.laso check comm manager on your device as well jus to make sure as i write jus completed rom upgrade to wm6.1 from spv m700
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII (GT-I9305), and here are my problem(s)
can't be detected by PC via USB (not showing on device manager, odin, kies, not even charging)
but it is charging when connected thru a charger
but it can detect my flash drive via OTG
already tried reinstalling correct drivers, tried different cables, tried different USB port, factory reset both from settings and recovery menu.
How can I fix this?
Also, I'm wondering if I can still attain root access/permission even without USB connection but thru terminal emulator?
Famaroot Aragorn exploit does not work.

Try and clean your usb port with soft tooth brush and alcohol, remove sim and sdcard and battery, then connect yr phone to pc holding power button and insert yr battery.
You can also try and update kies to the latest
Have you tried different pc?

i already tried it and still cannot be detected. i have a samsung win gt-i8552 and it connects to my pc just fine using the same cord and inserting to the same port. I was wondering how come it charges from a charger but not when connected to pc. and also it detects USB OTG but not the USB connection from my pc.
Hello,
I had an HTC rooted and after installing busy box it couldn't anymore charge/detect when usb to computer was connected.
If the OS was not powered it would work to charge or give commands to the smartphone via ADB/fastboot.
I have factory reset and relocked the smartphone with fatsboot flash ruu.zip
The problem is that the problem still persists when the phone is booted in Android (no charge or detect usb).
I have currently tried the following actions with no success:
1) boot into safe mode, reboot
2) disable daydream, fastboot
3) charge for 10 min while phone is off, disconnect charger and continuously hold power+volume up+volume down for 2 minutes
Does anyone have an idea what could be the issue ?

Maybe the USB port. You can replace the usb port by replacing the little board (USB port + main mic).

After also cleaning the usb port from the smartphone the issue still appears.
It is very possible to be the micro usb port like you mention. I will send the mobile to warranty as this issues take a lot more time then I am willing to invest in.
Hi,
I wanted to flash stock lollipop ROM on my QMobile Android one for some reason using sp flash tool but it's not working for me.
When I click the download button and then pull off the battery of my phone then connect the USB cable with PC and put the battery back in, it doesn't start downloading,,,I have both drivers installed in my PC (sp flash tool drivers) and (Google use drivers).
Can you guys tell me how to get this problem solved.. As far as I'm concerned the phone is not getting into download mode and I think that's the reading why it's not starts the flashing process...
Thanks in advance for helping..
Do in this way; 1) Disconnect usb cable from the phone end while other end remain connected to PC
2) pull off battery from the phone for atleast 20 seconds.
3) Switch on download software mode through sp flash tool
4) Insert battery in phone and then connect usb cable to phone. Also press volume up or volume down button of your mobile so that it is detected by PC
Hopefully it will work
Thanks for the reply but I have figured out the problem..
The issue is caused by incorrect drivers Mediatek preloader vcom drivers are missing from my system so I installed those drivers and it starts downloading immediately....:good:
So, I've bricked my brand new Motorola One 5G Ace. The problem is I have no idea how, and so I need any advice I can get for recovering it.
I intended to install the havoc rom so I downloaded all of the prerequisites and then unlocked the bootloader(it rebooted fine with the unlocked bootloader). Everything was fine. I then booted to twrp with:
fastboot boot kiev-twrp-3.6.2_11.0_RC-1.0.img
Here is where it gets interesting. My kids came and interrupted me. I left the phone sitting with the USB cable connected and twrp running. I never flashed or formatted anything.
When I returned a few hours later the phone screen was off and would not turn back on. I tried plugging it in, I tried holding down the power button, holding down the power and down buttons. Nothing worked to bring it back. It also doesn't show up for fastboot, or ADB.
What I don't understand is that I never actually flashed anything......
Anyone have any suggestions?
It does show up in dmesg output when I plug the phone in:

I assume someone may have clicked some things lol..
So at this time you'll need to run blankflash.
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/motorola/kiev/blankflash/blankflash_kiev_retail_RZK31.Q3-45-16.zip
Fairly simple though if you're on windows you'll need some secondary drivers. (link not handy qcom edl driver)
Run the bat as administrator, if it fails to find devices you must hold pwr + vol- for about 5-10 seconds (listen for device manager chime and let go) run bat asap after.
