hi, guys. there is no 920f. i bought a samsung phone with the back tag reading sm-n920f. but here was no firmware update for it so i did a little search. this is what i found out.
i installed phoneinfo from playstore and it tells me the model is not n920f but n920v. so i downloaded the n920v firmware from sammobile and installed it using odin. guess what it works perfectly.
if you have the original samsung note 5 which reads n920f kindly install the phoneinfo software from playstore to get the actual model number and reinstall the firmare.
Same mine, but it's weird, it's Rooted, busybox installed and Konx it is not Tripped 0x0.Bootloader it is N920P. i realy don't know what is this. it is any chance to install a recovery (TWRP) without brick the phone?i miss ViperAndroiFx.
Greetings all,
Hope you are doing well. I have bought a Galaxy Note 5 with the model SM-N920F. Unfortunately, the phone keeps rebooting from time to time. Searching through internet, all people were suggesting to reflash the ROM.
The problem is, where to get an original ROM for SM-N920F.
Thank you for your support,

For that particular model I didn't find (SM-N920F)
P.S: Checking my IMEI number, it gave me that the model is SM-N920T, how to understand that?

Go to download mode and check which version it is.
F is Europe and T is T-mobile, both have different bases.

Now this is very funny:
Code:
PRODUCT NAME: SM-N920P
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
SYSTEM STATUS: CUSTOM
FAP LOCK: OFF
According to IMEI it is T-Mobile, now from download mode it shows the P version which is Spint.
Does that mean I can flash any ROM from the following: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N920P/SPR/

Before flashing, kindly check Swappa for the device variant.
The device could be blacklisted by either of the carriers and you'd get stuck with the wrong firmware.
If you still want to go ahead, then try flashing the stock 920P firmware but there is a chance that the device might get bricked due to incorrect firmware since your device has 3 different models.
Check with carriers first to verify the device and its exact model.

From the download menu as I mentioned before:

Using IMEI showing that the device is not blacklisted or stolen.

Then the stock 920P firmware is a better option for Odin since this relates to the model mentioned in download mode.
The one mentioned in settings could have been modified.

So, I had flashed the SM-N920P ROM. It is working very well with me.
The only issue is I am not able to use LTE.
Maybe, I can try to flash SM-N920C?!

Hello WindGhost did you solve this problem ? I have also a NOTE 5 F , still with 5.01 , and no official 6.0.1 around
But for me already the LTE isn't working perfect , i have 2 note 5 the other is a 9208 with have 6.0.1 and there the LTE ( or 4G ) is twice as fast as this F version ...
Also in android stated a F version and in BOOTLOADER a N920P.
Pls advice greetings.
If what you have is a N920P then you don't have LTE. N920P has HSPDA+ only.
I've got white N920F with bootloader N920PVPS3BPJ2. It seems it is really an unlocked sprint N920P. Cause despite having 4G icon in statusbar I see only HSPA in mobile network status. Thanks for pointing out this difference, now I'm more concerned about this.

Don't know specifically for 920S model. But then i had a malaysian 9208 Dual sim and all i had to do was go to recovery wipe everything and install Indian firmware using ODIN. Once that is done VoLTE will come. Its to do with CSC files and Indian firmware supports Indian network CSC configuration.
HI
Thankhs for the reply.
The one i have is single sim Galaxy Note 5 920s model. Skt.

I tried finding this one too. Where do you see an example?
I got Note 8 that can't be updated, with the same model, but it doesn't say of which US company it belongs to, if at all.
On boot there is no special logo (only of Samsung).

What's your baseband version and build number version? You can find them in settings and about phone. Also what exact model is it and which firmware are you trying to use?
