Quad screen multi window? - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hi,
I was wondering if there's a mod or app available to enable quad screen multi window (that excisted for the Note 3). I've googled my *ss of but couldn't find it.
Thanks!

Can you supply more information? Why would such a feature have already been available for the Note 3 but not the Note 4,5,8 and/or 9?

It was available for the Note 3 with an app called Multiwindow Plus. I don't know about the next Notes.

That's why I started this thread: does it already exist or not? I assume not then?

It will take a little more expertise but if anyone can launch windows like this with any app (see picture) - then you could create an app that would save the apps in their individual sizes and locations and call them all at once. One of the sidebar apps allows you to save and launch two apps that way that are half-screen each...View attachment 4669223

CONFUSED XDA IIi or XDA IIs

I would appreciate any help on this. Before the XDA IIi came out, I thought it was going look exactly like the XDA IIs however now that its been launched it’s the same as the XDA II, apart from the CPU, memory etc… I really like the colour & keyboard on the XDA IIs but then I like the Power & extra memory on the XDA IIi …
I am confused and do not know which XDA to buy.
What would you do in my position.
Regards
Nya
wait for mda 4
i had the same dilema and well ive gone for the xdaIIs after running se on my xdaII, i dont think gettin the IIi would feel like i had upgraded at all and i have spoken to a few people who have the IIs and it seems now its ok first batch seemed dodge.
so i ordered mine on wed will update you as to how i find it when it gets here next week 02 out of stock at the momment.
i'm about to upgrade from my XDA 2 as I want WIFi built in. I don't really want a keyboard, so I'm going for the slightly more poerful XDA2i with more menory.
take the 2i dont even think of the 2s, i just got my 2i after my 6th 2s that o2 kept changing because they are full of problems
john
Thanks guys, your opinions are much appreciated ….i’m going to wait for another 4 weeks and see what reviews the XDA IIi gets

T-Mobile MDA IV alias XDA 4 :
processor XScale 520MHz,
UMTS (3G) + 4-band GSM,
VGA display (not 320x240 as before but 640x480 as in current top models of non-phone Pocket PC devices)
XDA IIs vs XDA IIi
I would like to add to this thread and state that the XDA IIs is probably the worst device I have ever owned and this includes Palms, Ipaq's and the XDA, XDA II & XDA IIs. It's totally unreliable and buggy, as I type this O2 have offered to swap the until for a XDA IIi I'll reserve judgement on that for the time being.

Question from an owner of an HTC One X

Hello all, New to this part of forum. Quick question, I have an HTC one x, not super happy with it, long love hate relationship with it and HTC themselves. I have decided to move on the one x. I have been offered a swap for a Galaxy Note, was going to do the swap, did a quick google and see the Note 2 is due for release soon. Should I just bite the bullet and swap for the note, or wait for the note 2, although I will imagine it will be a case.of selling the one x and adding substantially to it to buy the note 2, or whatever it will be called. I use my phone primarily for surfing and texting, only a few games to occupy me whilst on the thrown. Would I notice any real drop in speed from the quad core to the dual core.
Cheers for any replies.

I have the One x and battery is very poor. I read the note has a very good battery. So for texting and surfing I would defenately choose the note
regards sygys
Not a huge difference man,u can check quadrant score for that, one x vs the note.

Didn't realise they were so close on quadrant. Hate the battery on one x, had an s3 for a bit, but sold it to fund a 60" tv, wasn't the biggest fan of it. I think I will take the jump to the note.

Between the note and the one x...
The pros of moving to the note from a one x
- Huge difference in Battery Life
- Micro Sd
- Super Amoled HD (if you are sm1 who likes the deep blacks)
- S-Pen
The cons
- A little slower (not by too much a little that you will initially notice)
- Heavier
- Slower Camera (This you will definitely notice)
The question am asking is why the note and not the s3?
the note 2 in all probability should be a little bit of a step up from the s3 (since the note was a little bit of a step up from the s2 and not a complete overhaul... )
Ash
I have a complete video comparison at the link below...
Thank you for the replies guys, think I will ebay my One X, and wait patiently for the Note 2. Great video link about the comparison, not long to wait hopefully to the release of the note 2 now.

For applications to perform well on quad they have to be written to utilise all cores. Not many quad core apps our there at the moment so it is unlikely you will notice any performance difference.
Especially if you go for Rocket ROM and NoteCore kernel.

Find one from here:

Where ? I don't see anything for our note 2 (n7100) ?
Looks like all mentioned are not for the Note 2. Remember that the Note 2 is bigger than the original Note. So, if anyone knows of something, please post. I really want to buy, but can't do so until I can confirm there's a good physical keyboard solution (by good, I mean that it cannot be just a separate keyboard...it has to be "attached" so that it can be held and used together with the keyboard and phone).
i read that the physical size of the note and note II are the same they just managed to reduce the bezel in the note II thus resulting in a larger screen in the same size phone
Note 2 is actually smaller because they changed the aspect ratio. OG note was very wide, new note is slimmer. The heighth is the same though.
Ohhh....well that is interesting then. Thank you. Maybe I can just get one that was for the original Note, then, and it would work fine.
nobody is making keyboard cases for Note 2 !!!

The Note 2 (all variants, International and domestic) are both slimmer in width and taller in height than the OG Note.
Pretty much the width that was cut down from the sides were added to the top, to make for a wider screen and more comfortable grip.
I've owned them both to recognize the difference.

Sadly that is for the original Note, and will not work because of the height difference. It seems to be trying to trick people with the listing title.

Galaxy S5 Plus announced

Samsung just announced the Galaxy S5 Plus. Bummer I just bought my S5 about 2 months ago.. and literally just bought a Nexus 5 to play around with from the Play Store..
Features a 2.5Ghz Snapdragon 805 (underclocked from 2.7GHz found in Note 4)
Significantly faster memory bandwidth
Upgraded GPU (presumably a Adreno 420)
Faster LTE (advance 300Mbps).
Anyone here tempted to upgrade? Im wondering what the overall performance is like compares to S5 and Note 4.
http://www.neowin.net/news/samsung-reveals-the-galaxy-s5-plus-the-worlds-fastest-android-smartphone
Don't c a need to upgrade any further unless they improve the display and add more ram...And stop with all the dang lockdown on their phones ...if it wasn't for HTC so called ultra pixel camera I would jump to them ..
Do not buy plus phones, they will not be prioritized. Look at the s4 plus and its update history.
