Hey everybody, my friend recently gave me his old yamaha receiver. the model is RX-V2095. I got the speakers to work but it only works when the effect [on] mode on the receiver is turned on. Problem is it sounds extremely bad and i would like to adjust my own bass and treble settings. im using a rca female cable and connecting a 3.5mm jack from my phone to the end of the rca cables which are connected to my receiver.

you should try to turn off Beats audio and use a custom EQ instead and see if it sound better. Everytime I plug my phone to my Pioneer receiver, it sound extremely bad when beats audio is enabled (way to much bass and treble = sound distortion) Fortunately, I have a good built-in 10-bands EQ in my receiver so I don't really need and custom EQ in my phone. But your receiver doesnt seem to have a descent EQ (only 2 bands).

well use the IR of the phone!
Hi,
I updated my P10 to Oreo yesterday and I have a big problem. Sound quality on Bluetooth headphones is veeeery low. I'm using Spotify (premium if that's matter). Anybody have this problem? Or maybe a solution.
That's gotta be disappointing! Sorry for your trouble. Do you know if your headphones have bluetooth aptx?
AFAIK, the p10 has bluetooth aptx (https://www.aptx.com/products/huawei-p10) which should result in decent sound quality when paired with aptx compatible bluetooth headphones and speakers. My own very subjective tests comparing my p10 plus vs my non-aptx tablet when paired with a Marshall Woburn speaker supports this claim but I'm still running nouget. I wonder if the aptx is still active in Oreo?
I tried to change a bluetooth codec in developer settings but it's not working so I guess my headphones supports only SBC codec :/
The issue seems to stem from audio Codecs resetting. I have similar troubles with the Mate 9 where the audio is terrible unless I go into the developer options WHILE music is playing and change the settings, then the quality gets better until either a song is paused or something else causes an interruption in the audio playback.
Seems it is a bug. It triggers itself back to SBC only no matter what headphones are connected. I have Phillips with AAC support and the worked fine before upgrade. AptX model I have is not working correctly too. So the only way now is to wait for the fix I think...
Thanks for following up to this thread, Syndirail and ylapas. Since I use bluetooth for music every day I won't be upgrading to Oreo until I know this issue is resolved.
Unexpected surprise - P10 with quite cheap Chinese QCY headphones just connected to high quality aptX audio and sounds great, while Phillips sounds like crap definitely Oreo bug in determining hardware capabilities.

Proof with QCY headphones connected.
My Sony headphone with LDAC is recognized and works very well.
Seems it can be a problem with headphones which does not have aptX / aptX HD or LDAC support, but have AAC. In Android 7 it worked well, in Android 8 it is for some reason limited to SBC only and never turned on, even if supported by the headphones.
ylapas, how can I view the bluetooth stats as you did in your attachment?

You need to disconnect blutooth and reconnect, and then turn on your equipment..
My Sony UHP-H1 plays LDac to my Stereo and ht, my Xtz Divine headphones play aptX, and my Audio Pro T3 plays SBC, but it plays SBC from Spotify premium and all codes on Poweramp stunningly great...
SBC don't need to be poor with good signal, and good Dac and speakers...
I can't verify, can someone please do tests measure and verify. Huawei says no, you must buy mate10 or mate10 plus.
I try to get confirmation from Google Android but can't reach them.
I try to contact Sweden Google today.
Please update the thread...

I contacted my telephone company on phone.
They are on the case, waiting for confirmation on mail.
Could anyone confirm if other codecs except SBC work? (I've also found issues on the Mate9 forum)
My Sony MF-100x connect only on SBC and the sound quality is not that great (when compared with an iPhone, not sure if only the codec is to blame though .. )
From developer settings any chance is reverted as soon as the dialog closes.

Forgot Huawei confirmed that aptX on P10 is working.. still waiting for confirmation on LDac...
Yes, aptX is working on my P10 (Oreo). Tested with Sony MDR XB950B1. Anyone using MDR 1000x to confirm LDAC?
I have Sony UHP-H1 bluray with LDac...
But i dont have time to test now..
I have Jabra BT320S...Not so bad BUT, remains in low quality even after playing in DEV settings... But its not that awful,i can deal with that...will try in car
Edit1...
Ive tried different earphones on my jabra bt.. surprise...the ones offering best audio quality are the one i paid 1.99 $ at Dollarama...really cheap/crappy and unknown mark ...with original settings.
The sound with original Jabra JVC HA-EB75 really sucks...gets better if i push the speaker inside my brain through the ear hahahah
Edit 2..
just found in...you know, that third drawer that we put unused stuff.....some old Samsung from S2 and Woahh...Those im gonna keep :silly:

Yes, aptX working fine, just not AAC - all my not aptX equipment is pushed back to SBC only now, even if it supported AAC in version 7 and sounded great.
Does anyone here using Bluetooth Earphones with Nokia 7 Plus? If yes, how is the sound quality? How good are base and treble?
I'm using the Jabra Move Wireless and the audio quality is really good. No need for eq, at least with these headphones. If you haven't already got Bluetooth headphones I recommend you take a look at the Jabra Move Wireless. They're good for the value and they work well with the 7 plus.

Well Bluetooth isn't flawless. I've had to reset my headphones once or twice but it took me 10 sec to get it back up and running. Try to reset your speakers before pairing. Remember you have to press "pair new device" in the Bluetooth menu on the 7 plus.
The SONY WH -1000XM4 headphone is connected via via Bluetooth to the Galaxy A53 G. Only the RIGHT channel is playing sound. No sound on the LEFT. The headphone works fine on other phones. Is there some kind off setting to adjust the balans R-L ? Suggestions please....... Thanks,

there is a balance settings in the sound > settings option in the menu, it is there for most phones.
However if you cant find it try using a pair of wired earphones with your phone to confirm that the balance of your phone is actually the issue.
Whenever I am playing any audio on any bluetooth device, be it BT headphones or car, the sound is coming out from the phone's speaker and the bluetooth device both, simultaneously. I have tried formating the device and reinstalling the android but the issue came up again. Please Help.

I tried this but didn't work. Multiple sound was already disabled. I even tried re-enabling and disabling it again, just in case..!
