Use new GCam version, it doesn't have greenish screen.

I flashed it with TWRP on newest xiaomi.eu v 7.11.9 but i can´t find any difference
Edit: I´m sorry. The new icon was on a new side, i found it now. *blame
Everything works fine, ´til now no issues!

I flashed from aboved link and it works without any issues. I´m using default settings (Nexus 6P)...

Tried it again... It just keeps on crashing... Sometimes it works.. But most of the time it crashes.. And tried slow motion video it records with 120 fps but there is greenish tint on the screen...

Download latest Gcam from link

Not working for me on the developer ROM. Crashes as soon as you open it. Tried downloading from the link again and same problem...
How do I uninstall?

My version of GCam works great. Slow motion and 60fps videos are supported.
Only issue is that it crashes sometimes while opening.
App Name - Camera
Package Name - com.google.android.MGCBMod
Version - 4.4.020.163412804.4.2
Everything depends upon settings in app.
Model - NEXUS 6P
System level override - NEXUS 2015
Config camera - NEXUS 6 HDR + AUTO
Buffer size - 15 optimal
Total image reader - 15 others
HDR + burst frame count - 7 (N6P + Allpixel+allexp)
Set Back camera resolution to SD 480p whenever you want to shoot a slo-mo video.

Back cam and slo mo working fine!
but front cam produce blue colour image
i used latest gcam

Hi all,
I introduce you to the first release of LePro3 sound modification. This modification makes your LePro 3 sounds a lot better with AOSP,Lineage ROM. It will give you clear voice on handset and speaker, no distortion. Also this build will give you good lowers (bass). I made the sound mod ready to flash via TWRP.
After installation please make sure you have this values on build.prop:
ro.vendor.audio.sdk.fluencetype=fluence
persist.vendor.audio.fluence.voicerec=true
persist.vendor.audio.fluence.speaker=true
use.voice.path.for.pcm.voip=true

What value should I change in the file mixer_paths_tasha.xml, to raise only the speaker volume during calls and not the global volume?
The volume of notifications is too high even putting it to a minimum ...
Is it possible to have indications on what are the values of the various volumes in the file mixer_paths_tasha.xml? so I could try to do some tests ...

Go over speaker-stereo but you dont have to make any change there since is good if its too loud just use the Volume soft keys

Same as you go to settings and play with notification sound you will see the difference. Thats what I did and I see the difference

Tried it with the latest experimental aicp. Unless it was a coincidence, it broke my ability to listen to Google play music through a cdla adapter and my ability to record voice texts through the signal messaging app. When I copied the original etc folder back to root to revert the changes both my issues we're fixed following a reboot. Maybe it's because I didn't install it through recovery. I just took the files from the zip and moved them which seems easier.

There is none during the call.

Yeah, it's almost perfect for me.
The notification sounds are a little high.
Also, the sounds on YouTube videos I watch seem to be echoing on the wall.
Sounds right during the call, I have not tested the microphone yet ...

the quality and clarity is great but we need some dev to get their hands on this mod to adjust the volumes of notifications etc .. the potentials of this mod are noticeable but we need to adjust the volumes.

Mi mix 2 video sound recording quality

hello there mi mix 2 lovers
I have found a solution to a problem that most of you know. :laugh:
The problem of our beloved mi mix 2 device or any xiaomi phone recording low quality audio while recording video.
possibly it's because of the agressive noise cancelation
While recording on the default app on miui (I think on every rom too but I am not sure tell me if I am wrong)
Anyway there is a trick to get that good audio
1) Download a free app called (Hi-Q free) it's a recording audio app
2) Download open camera it's a camera app
3) Mute audio in open camera settings
4) In Hi-Q app set it to +15 db gain (but it depends) , wav format and mic selection unprocesed raw.
5) tap record on Hi-Q and the record with open camera
6) then synchronize them in post with any video editing program I used premiere pro on PC but kinemaster on Android is my favorite for editing on the go but you can use whatever you like
7) enjoy the good quality
It's alot of work for recording a video on your phone but the quality you get it's amazing and if you're into recording musical instruments or videos on YouTube it's a must

I would like to understand if the low audio quality is due only to a bad noise cancellation algorithm or if microphones aren't that great either: I listened to the audio in your samples and it seems much better with the workaround, but since you mentioned "recording musical instruments", did you try to test it in a very loud environment like a concert? Many phones with low quality microphones just get their audio saturated in these occasions and the result is awful, could you tell anything about it related to the Mi Mix 2?

That is a very good workaround.
However, I was wondering if the official MIUI devs care about the problem and are working on it. I am on the stock global ROM and happy so far, I dont want to flash Lineage just to bypass this problem.
Maybe I will open up a thread at the official MIUI site, there have to be a lot of people with this problem and maybe they will work on it then.
I had this problem too on my Redmi 4 Pro. It seems like this is a problem of MIUI itself?

Solution for bad audio recording
Hi, testing a lot i find how to rec very good audio with the mi mix 2, works on every app that i trying to record videos.
my english is very bad, i will try the help you guys.
I try this in latest global rom and latest lineage OS.
This only work with ROOT.
Step 1.
with a root file explorer Delete all media_profile and mixer_path files in System/etc and System/vendor/etc
Step 2.
Global ROM
Place in System/Vendor/etc the atached files mixer_paths_tasha.xml and media_profile_vendor.xml
Lineage OS
Place in System/Vendor/etc the atached files mixer_paths_tasha.xml and media_profile_v1_0.xml
Change the permissions of both files to rw- r-- r--
Step 3
Edit your /System/build.prop file like i did in te file "cambio.jpg" compare with your build.prop and change to "true" all the lines that you find different. i mark in red the important ones, but i change others lines of false to true.
I dondt attach that file because in every update you will have to change again that lines in build.prop, and make again step 1 and step 2.
Step.4
Reboot the phone and enjoy
if the audio is too quiet for you, you can edit the mixer_path_tasha.xml, find this lines at the begining of the file

<ctl name="DEC6 Volume" value="86" />
change 86 to a higher value and test by yourself, this is for my own use, i like to rec rock concerts and loud envoirements
If someone with better english want to make a better guide i have no problem, i figure this solution testing a lot of times with a lot of smartphones. the only thing, thanks me haha

Looks promising. But its not a thing for me since I am on a locked bootloader and dont want to unlock it yet.
But the best solution would be if Xiaomi would simply fix this, and I dont understand whats the problem there or if they just dont care (which i cant imagine).

DEC5 And DEC6 are specific for right and left mic when recording a video

I'm unable to delete files you mentioned. I'm getting error whilst trying to delete them.
My device is rooted and i have granted SU permissions for root explorer.
Any ideas what to do ?

Using Es File Explorer i'm getting "device or resource busy" error. I've tried restarting the phone and try again but still no succes.
It seems like these files are being used at the moment and i can't delete them.

Nevermind, I've managed to delete them using TWRP recovery file manager.
Everything's alright, video sound quality is now much better.

Install busybox

Seems that I have to unlock the bootloader and root the phone. Nothing I am happy about, since the phone ran awesome out of the box and now the tinkering starts again, like in the good old days with all the other android phones I owned
This device is so great, even with the global official ROM, but why has it this one problem?
I found another workaround, you can use openCamera and only set the audio channel to mono and the recording device to standard/default. Then the audio is a lot better.
The MIUI recording app can also record in high quality if you set it to Music. Noise cancellation seems to be disabled then.

Installation:
Open Magisk Manager and head to the Modules page
Click on the plus(+) and select the file you want to install
To install more than one file, after one module has installed go back and redo the same process with the other file you downloaded

It will replace your tuned camera file with the file that razer used in android OREO as that one has no issues with the viewfinder​Issues: None that i know of so far, if you notice anything you can mention it in the comments but it is likely i cannot fix it​

EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation) helps your videos look more stable, by default this is only available at 30fps and only in some apps. on stock the camera viewfinder is blurry and colours smudge, making 3rd party apps like Instagram very bad with recording videos and not being able to see well on on what you're taking a picture of.
This issue came around with the pie update for razer phone 2 so I managed to fix the viewfinder issue by using the razer libs from android OREO.
This is for every app, not just gcam.
The EIS fix allows for video stabilization at 1080p 60fps.

I have made a couple comparison videos and here they are: (read the description of each as it describes what to look for if it is not immediately visible)
1. Stock Camera Libs through the gcam viewfinder
2. My module through the gcam viewfinder
3. Stock Camera libs recording a video of snapchat (it just records the viewfinder)
4. My module recording the same video in snapchat
Even with the low youtube quality as of now (still processing probably) the changes are noticeable

Using both of these and my gcam is much better. Viewfinder no longer has a ghosting effect, colors are better, and stabilization works.

Which camera version are you using? The 7.4 version doesnt with when i want to use video and the 7.3 versions all crash instantly on startup same as 7.2.

Impossible, are you using BSGs cameras? also disable the EIS fix to check if it is that one.
Is it the EIS FIX of VF FIX doing it? and which gcams did you try (by which modder)

Using BSG 7.4 latest release, only got the VF Fix as I would like to shoot 4k.

Am on stock rom Pie and did redownload and try without ur mods.

okay so,
1. does it work without the mods?
2. I've had testers and it all works on stock rom and android 10
3. does the redownloaded one work?
4. if you use a social media app like Instagram does it work?

1.) Camera works on stock camera app, instagram, facebook, gcam 6.1.
2.) Doesnt work with gcam 7.4 with or without mods
3.) redownloaded and reinstalled 3 times, clean install.

it seems more of like an issue with your phone or something as I've not heard of anybody having problems with the viewfinder fix.
about the 7.4 gcam, try BSGs latest version from celsoazevado, it should be labelled test
also you said the camera works in social medias, is that with or without the viewfinder fix

I don't see the latest version being labelled as test. Maybe you're talking about one of those that are labelled as test?

Hello,
I created this module to unlock the maximum sample rate and bit depth on the Redmi Note 10 Pro. That being 192kHz/24-bit. It should also disable downsampling and some compression.
It works only for USB audio output and wired headphones/earbuds.
This is my first magisk module and therefore there may be a lot of room for improvement.
It will disable audio effects like Dolby.

Probably, since V4A's drivers only support 44.1khz/16bits or 48khz/24bits, the changes might make V4A's drivers fail. JamesDSP, which is another audio mod similar to viper might support this high sample rate being enabled though. Or the newer reversed engineer V4A might.

The repackaged is still using the old V4A drivers, which again, still down samples the audio and would not play hi-res audio.
Here's a note from the JDSP Discussions Group in Telegram:
"Viper4Android enforces sampling at 16-bit 48kHz, while JamesDSP supports most known formats. This means that V4A will not allow lossless playback of media in any other format and will downsample HiFi tracks."
Which is true for the old, closed-source drivers of V4A. A thing to note is that it is still a work-in-progress and most features of the original V4A is still not available like vdc and irs.

Do you know any app or way to check the sample rate/bit depth? Just installed the module and I'd like to check if everything is working fine.

Just tested with Xiaomi.EU 14.02, the sample rate works well in most applications, however with Tidal I have some issues with Dolby Atmos songs having no sound. I will look for a solution by reinstalling the module.

You might be able to enable Dolby temporarily via the control center, if you add the Dolby icon; alternatively via the video toolbox feature. I noticed this earlier today.
