Hi guys, I have a Honor Play (COR-TL-10) and I was trying to install emui 9, got the COR-L29 emui 9 version installed by HiSuite (used a russian program called FirmwareFinder for forcing HiSuite into installing it, I know, it was stupid) and now my phone is stuck rebooting all time, I can't even turn it off, what do I do?

I already tried wiping cache (while I was able to go into recovery mode), and it didn't help. Now I can't enter in the recovery mode
All fixed
Shipped the phone back to the seller in china and they fixed it, just received the phone today and all is working.

I have a European Huawei P9 EVA-L09 model which I adore. It was running Marshmallow and EMUI 4.1. I found a Nougat beta ROM and I tried to install it but have left it in an unusable state.
I don't think the phone is rooted but I do think the bootloader is unlocked.
I can boot into 3 modes.
Mode 1 - Just reboot
Huawei eRecovery where I get the options to download latest version and recovery, Reboot and Shutdown. If I select the Download latest version and recovery it setups my Wifi and then fails with the message Getting package info failed.
Mode 2 - Power + Vol Up
It boots into a screen that gives me the option to Reboot your System Now, Wipe data / factory Reset , Wipe Cache partition. Selecting Wipe Data/Factory reset returns back to this screen with an error - Red Exclamation mark. Selecting Wipe Cache partition seems to perform a wipe and returns to the original screen with the 3 options again.
Mode 3 - Connect to PC with Hisense and power + vol down
This goes into an android recovery screen which is white with a green android displayed
I have the USB drivers installed on my PC but I cannot see the phone in Windows explorer when I plug it in via USB. I do hear the recognition tone that Windows has recognised that a USB device has been attached. The Huawei PC software doesn't recognise it unless I go into the white android screen and select recover. This always fails saying it cannot find a package.
I have installed stock P9 Marshmallow firmware on my SD card in a dload folder (which is how I bricked it in the first place. When I hold Vol up and Vol Down and power it starts installing but then fails about 40% - 50% through. I have tried multiple versions of the L09 firmware but none of them install successfully.
I am not very technical and not an android expert so cannot say I have done everything perfectly correctly. #
Is my phone bricked or is it possible get my phone back working?
You can get your phone back, search the forums for dc phoenix, which has helped people including myself.
The other option is to go the huawei website, and look under downloads for p9. Find the two firmwares for beta rollback and follow the instructions, although i am not 100% confident that will work for you
use dc phoneix ... i was the in tha same condition
So I have installed and tried install a few different ROMs to the phone. DC Phoenix recognizes the phone as it comes up with the IMEI and version in the left hand window. It seems to install the ROM sucessfully.
I get a message at the end saying it finished successfully but when I boot back up it just goes straight into the same eRecovery screen I have tried B166 and B322 and no luck. Is there anything different I should be doing?
...and now I have a new issue
Thanks for everyone's help. After downloading and trying about 10 different ROMs I was able to get a Nougat ROM to install. Now I have a different problem
1. When I reboot I get a verification failed message. I get an option to go to eRecovery (which works the same as above and doesn't find a package)
So what I really want now is just to get back to stock Marshmallow and not have a verification message and not have some Nougat version that doesn't look like the official Huawei ROM.
So what next folks?
I encountered the exact same problem a few days ago. I didn't try DC Phoenix, instead sent it to Huawei for repair, claiming the phone was in a boot-loop I couldn't recover from.
They have fixed it now and the P9 is on its way back to me. What's strange is that they have swapped the whole motherboard for a new one! Didn't expect that.
I have a Huawei Mate S with 3.1 EMUI and 5.1.1 OS.
I tried to update it to the newest software via “firmwar finder for Huawei” app from Google store.
I did everything that the app instructed and used it to download and then install the new b390 update.
However the update is STUCK AT 19%!!!
I troed:
1. hard reset (volume up and power button). It only restarted the phone and began to instal the EMUI update up until 19% again.
Help!
Hello. After rebranding my phone from PRA-AL00X to PRA-LX1 it's stuck on the Factory reset screen after it gets to 99%. I don't know what to do. I can't enter fastboot either. But I have a question: why when I plug it in, when the factory reset screen is there, my PC makes a sound effect as it's connected to my phone (you know, the usual sound when you plug something into your PC). Can it still be saved? Thank you.
Probably a system partition size complication. Are you using RecoveryOreoNoCheck?
Read this or this.
Something weird happened. So, last night I left my phone to run out of battery. Today, after booting it again it worked. But it rebooted itself after it got into Android, and now it's stuck again on the factory reset process at 99%.
EDIT: I think I managed to figure it out. So, after my phone runs out of battery it restarts normally, into Android. After that I need to let it charge for some time, because of the low battery it may shutdown. I will update soon if I figure it out completely.
EDIT 2: It seems that after I enter my pin to unlock my device it reboots itself. Why is that?
Is there any way I can enter erecovery mode without enabling developer options and usb debugging? Because once I input my pin, my device restarts.
EDIT: Seems like I managed to enter my pin without my device restarting. I think it was restarting because the battery was low.
I have another question. Why after I manage to boot my phone, when I try to reboot to bootloader, it reboots, and enters again the Factory reset screen?

So as stated from the user on that link who solved the problem, try formatting the system partition then try to install the update again.
Regarding your other posts, if the update installation obviously failed or encountered some issues then by some coincidence it boots back, that doesn't mean it got fixed. The problem is still there and will become even a bigger problem, if it's not fixed.
You don't have to enable Developer Options or USB Debugging, to boot into eRecovery.

The problem is, I can't enter bootloader nor erecovery. I'll try to factory reset with the phone booted up.
EDIT: After factory resetting from settings, when the phone was booted up, it works now. I tried to reboot it and it reboots fine, without the factory reset screen appearing. And thank you very much for your help. I will now try to install Oreo for PRA-LX1.
The only problem I have now, is: my system version is now named NRD90M test-keys.
EDIT: I fixed my phone. I reinstalled through eRecovery the newest available EMUI version and NRD90M test-keys dissapeared. Now it works fine, even if I am on Nougat. I am waiting for the EMUI 8 update, this time not forcing my phone to install it.

Hi,
I have the same issue with Phone Always going to factory reset.
Only draining it makes it boot up normally.
I also did the factory reset from within android. Now it does a factory reset lowlevel and again it hangs on 99%.
Did you also have this?
Hello Everyone
After a series of frustrating efforts to install custom ROM in my Nokia 8 (TA 1004) device, I gave up and ultimately decided to go with the official ROM (stock was android 8) and updated it to android 9 via OTA update and went ahead to install TWRP and Magisk for root.
It was all fine, but then I launched the Magisk app and it said that it needs to download some files, which it did, then it went ahead for a reboot.
And now my phone is stuck on NOKIA logo.
I can't seem to power it off or restart it using any key combinations. Vol UP + Power, Vol Down+ Power, All three keys, I tried everything, even for 50-60 seconds. But it won't change. It's stuck on NOKIA boot logo.
Any help would be really appreciated.
i have the same problem! Please, answer

Hi all, here are my phone specs currently:
EVA L19
C636 B393
EMUI 5.0.1
Android 7.0
bootloader unlocked
magisk installed
The phone has been great for the past year, but yesterday I did a factory reset (maybe bad move, should have done TWRP wipe) and there are no essential apps anymore like camera, calendar, and the rest.
I've been scouring the forums looking for a solution but most of the download links are dead.
Tried to do an update via HiSuite but nothing happened after installing.
Any other ideas? I don't want to install a custom ROM as I prefer the stock camera app.
Thanks!

Try deleting Dalwik and Cache from TWRP or deleting Cache from eRecovery (switch off, connect to charger!!!, press and keep pressing Vol+, boot by Pow)
You could also try again Factory reset immediately followed by Wipe cache - both from eRecovery
There is also an option in eRecovery: Install latest firmware, you can try but not sure would it work since Huawei apparently removed P9 firmwares from their servers
Otherwise, you would need to find (it was easy in the past when FirmwareFinder worked), download and reinstall your EVA-L19c636 b393 (or newer)
Hey there, factory reset from both phone and TWRP didn't work. eRecovery can't find package info too.
So I downloaded the firmware now and put the dload folder on my SD card but I can't force it to update. When I press the vol keys +- and power, it just says "your phone is unlocked and can't be trusted etc..." and then just boots normally. I can't access ProjectMenu using the *#*# codes either.
Any other ideas how to flash this firmware?

Unfortunately, no other idea but try to find DLOAD package.
Several other users asked similarly, pleas see the other recent posts here for P9 - but generally, it will be hard because Huaweu removed firmwares from their server.
See in those other threads/posts for alternative catalogs.
Unfortunately, c636 is relatively rare, consider rebranding to c432 - and again, look to thoso other threads, recent questions and answers
That's where I'm stuck though... even if I have the firmware I can't force update it by the button method of the secret codes method...
I'll try to flash via fastboot and hopefully it works.
Update: got the C636 firmware and the flashing steps here:
