P7 - problem with local update

Hi all , I have a no root P7 and I have the following problem : the phone tells me this problem :
I tried to flash the original ROM EMUI 3.0 (I downloaded from Huawei website . Then I extracted the zip file and copy the folder "dload" in SD caed) but after a while says "Fail" and the procedure stopped . After several attempts the Rom is installed but I have still yet the same problem . Why ?

When you say from Huawei site, can you please provide the link?

The link of the Rom? I don't understand what has to do with my issue

that is NOT any issue.. that is reminder if anything goes wrong..

I downloaded the Rom from Huawei Italia - Download - EMUI (official website) , now I don't have the link .

It depends! Was this issue from the day one when you bought your phone?

Just ignore that notification at phone start ..

Options for AL10 model??

Hello,
I just received the AL10 version and I was curious what can I do for this model number? I am not finding much information in the forums about it.
Mostly, I am just curious if I can install any ROMs on this model and or the Nougat Beta?

I tried Nougat Beta for L09 on my EVA-AL10 and bricked my phone. I used a factory rom and lost important partitions.
I'd advice against it. Maybe you should wait for them to official launch Nougat for AL10.
But you should just keep a full backup of all the partitions. TWRP backup isn't enough.

yep, I got an update to 198 also when I first checked for an update yesterday. Looks like it was basically a security patch.

Did you check HiCare, as it was mentioned previously? Look at Service Menu / Update.

I was just about to update the thread....I had the app disabled..i enabled it and found the rom update....I never knew you could update through the hicare app, thanks

I have L29C567B183 and I flashed this rom B211. It booted up however many functions does not work properly for example I cannot get into developer option, backup and restore will reboot the phone, fingerprinting does not work, .... I flashed Kangvip B186 without problem. I do not think it will work properly on your phone unless your firmware is up to date (B211).

Thanks for your information. Im on b130 and I have no idea why it cant see any updates on my phone, maybe it's C635 not so popular. btw could you please give me a link to that Kingvip rom b183? I couldnt find it in this forum. Thanks!:fingers-crossed:

There is no Kangvip B183 for Mate 9. Only Kangvip B175, B186, and B211. I am on C567B183 and I flashed KangVip B186 without problem. Since you are on B130 you should start with Kangvip B175 and see if it works.

got it on adb type: adb shell settings put global enable_freeform_support 1 and reboot then press recent an select square button next to lock app button

nougat freeform move can also be achieved by downloading Root Essentials, scrolling to the interface tab, and selecting freeform mode..

you must have base rom B211 for flash rom kangvipB211. I think you must rebrand to rom china and update ota to B211.

I have C567B183 I flashed this rom (B211). It booted up but some functions did not work properly. However I just flashed the boot image from Kangvip 186 and everything works fine.

Maybe auras76 thinking ahead on RomAur 1.6??

Coud not update in the end, got a version mismatch error on hisuite, seems these are for dual sim.
using all the software here:https://ictfix.net/install-google-for-huawei-solution-2/

I gave it a try as well, I get a "no internet connection" and not sure why. My settings are good as is the proxy. For reference I used HiSuite 11.0.0.500 OVE on my P40 Pro ELS-N04C792 on file 499427.

you need to use Hisuite version 10, get in the link I posted

And probably not any version from 10 ... try 10.0.0.510.

Same problem here. Try to install 11.0.0.130 whit Hisuite 10.0.0.510. Hisuite Proxy give me every time the error "group version not match". I came from Version 10.1.0.183. All other Versions like 10.1.0...give me no error and it show the downgrade in Hisuite.

Hey djrush, you quoted version 11.0.0.130, I dont see that version in the firmware finder, did you mean .133 ?
I also have version 10.1.0.183 ...

I'm presuming this is why they update Hisuite to allow it to retrieve ver emui 11, but the program hisuite proxi dosnt work with current version.

Is there not away of using the download option from firmware finder and updating manually /locally? Similar to the huawei Update USB option.

I see only version 11.0.0.130.

I believe the version mismatch error is because emui 11 is just out for the dual sim variable of the phone, we have to waita bit more.

Yes, search your region code "C636" for example and find suitable CUST and Preload for your model. ELS-N29 for me for example.

Last call - try to download full zip of A.13 version (not that developers preview, just the build of OOS 12.1) and install it via this apk which you need to install first:

Download that app I linked to and install it.
Then download full zip of the ROMyou need ideally, but you can also try incremental (for example this one - it is A.12 build which is next from what you have: https://android.googleapis.com/packages/ota-api/package/f99da5215db535177dabb71960ec6365a63af389.zip) and save that zip to your root folder. Then open that installed app (called "system update", it is in app drawer normally), top cog, find that ZIP and install it. We will see, if it will do some job.
Next OTA is A.13: https://android.googleapis.com/packages/ota-api/package/7548d30abac02bde85a403bcc3a218df868e1910.zip
And A.14: https://android.googleapis.com/packages/ota-api/package/e443d7662829c933a0da968a62bf080aacab37c9.zip
But first install that A.12 and we will see, after reboot, if it offers you next updates. If not, install one by one those I linked you here, otherwise wait for any full zip for the NE2215 version (I cant find full zip now, but it should be somwhere).

The same for A.12. I bought this mobile with installed global ROM. Maybe there are some settings which block all installation s?

Nothing special, you just need to get full zip of any upcoming build, which has size around 4.3 GBs. Eventually you can download latest full zip via oxygen updater by enabling advanced settings and choosing EU, India or global (in fact it shouldn't matter which you choose, but you will have corresponding stuff in your device then, but nothing that breaks your using), download it, then flash it normally via that app I linked you and you tried to install that incremental.
On the other hand, fastboot enhance could reflash your device from the scratch, but it also will wipe it during that process.
