Hai. Any one received 9.0.0.188 firmware update? noticed any impact on battery life?
No impact on battery
.188 only security patch update
What impact?
Battery is awesome, unbelievable actually with .188, I have 68% left with 3 hours 2 mins SOT
I'm still on the .183 update, do you have a screenshot of the changelog? Just curious to know what's new? Thanks
Greetings, the latest 188 update, because my device is still like this. Why do you still know that the March update did not come?

i first upgrade the firmware from 2.16.654.4 to 3.30.654.2, then flash the viperone M8 3.1.0 to replace 2.5.0 without full wipe. Recovery is TWRP2.8.0.1, not the latest 2.8.1.0. After that i found it is hot after 3-5 minutes using and the battery is losing so quick, this morning I turn on wifi and data connection, listen some songs for about 20minutes, log in instagram, facebook and twitter for 30 minutes, telephoned two people in totally less than 5 minutes, other time it only put on my desk. just 7 hours the power fall from 100% to 34%.
is that means my problem cause by flashing the rom without wiping or any other reason like kernel or system bugs?
Possibly related to Itson app? Have a thread in General about it taking up 40% of battery usage on some devices
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-one-m8/general/itson-app-t2925082
I tried disabling Itson but it seems to kill data service. I just sent and e-mail here - http://www.itsoninc.com/contact-us/ asking why this is on my phone, that it's killing my battery and how do I remove it.
Great
Mine has gotten better but I did do a clean install. Glad I did because I hadn't realized how much garbage I had accumulated over the past few months. Battery is lasting all day again...
I used to get 8 hours OST on 4.4.2 then it dropped to about 5 on 4.4.3. Now I am lucky to get 4 hours on 4.4.4. I am tempted to go back....

I did clean install and have over 13 hours on battery today including 6 hours of streaming music. Still have 30% left..
I'm on Captain Throwback's Beyond Stock. So far, so good for me
I agree, battery life has taken a noticeable hit with the 4.4.4 upgrade. Battery life was ****ing stellar on 4.4.2, noticeably worsened on 4.4.3, and now is unacceptable on 4.4.4. Yesterday I had that ItsOn wakelock that people have talked about. A reboot made it disappear, but for the past two days my Android System and Android Kernel use have been way higher than usual. They're both in the 20% range, even when I'm sitting there watching videos on my phone, they take up almost as much battery as the Screen.

Ditto. On 4.4.3 I use to get 6-7 hours of SOT and now I'm getting 3 hours. Not sure what is so different that is causing this.

I've been on Beyond Stock since Monday, and didn't have any problems until today. ItsOn is killing my battery - I dropped from ~70% to 30% in a matter of a couple of hours. I'm going to revert to a 4.4.3 ROM as soon as I get home.
I'm still having pretty bad battery life. 2-3 hours of SOT.
Anybody else found a solution?
Not sure if it is just me or not.. But after the last OTA, the one pushed a few days ago, it almost seems like I burn battery faster. Anyone else?
Battery life seems worse for me too, and the phone seems to run a little hotter (though that may be a coincidence since the weather's been hot where I am the last few days).
My battery is actually a bit better since update.
I need a few more days to confirm but it really does seem like battery life was impacted negatively for me.

Yep, ditto here, based solely upon overnite battery drain (fully charged when heading to zzz). No change in installed apps or their status--only change is VZW-pushed update a few days ago.
That's it!!! Doze is almost non existent it seems. This is really upsetting. I wonder if it has to do with the SD card stuff. I wonder if only SD Cards owners are affected.
Battery life has been slightly better since the most recent update.
My overnight is okay, but i use to get 40 hours. Now im getting 28 to 30. That's a huge difference.

Could be. I'm seeing some Phone Idle and Cell Standby usage overnight which wasn't present pre-update.

It does seem to be a little worse now that you mention it. It used to last all day, but now I'm at 20% halfway through. Granted, I have my AOD on. (That's probably why)
No noticeable difference here after the update. Doze is working fine. Using Greenify.
Mine dies fast also and when you use bluetooth also
It seems to me that is is VERY close or about where it was before the update.
I have to admit it seems like things run a bit better after the update as well. So at this point I think I am happy lol.
All in all, the phone rocks. Best piece of electronic equipment I have yet to own.
Mine is a little better and I have an SD card. Overnight drain has been reduce by 1% and it doesn't drain into the 80s as fast as it used to when I start using it. Did you clear cache via recovery? Start simple and you can resolve it eventually
I charge my phone at least twice a day.

I received the Sprint OTA update 'N950USQU2BQJB' a few days ago here in California which carried a security patch and Google Play Services update version 11.7.46 which has been terrible on my battery and particularly Pixel XL & OnePlus users as well as other devices according to online reports.
Have you updated to these versions and seen a dip In your battery life like many others have?
And If so, have you seen any difference in performance after updating your device with Google's latest security patch update 'N950USQS2BQK3' which has started to roll out to Sprint customers today (12/04/17)?
Will this fix the issue of battery drain Sprint users have been experiencing in the past several weeks in your opinion?
Thanks.
My battery life was so good before this update. I was getting 8 hrs of SOT on an average. But after March update, battery life dropped to 5-6 hrs. Has anyone faced this issue?
Lucky you, after pie update onwards I barely get 3hrs+ of Screen on time on my Exynos Note 9..

3 hrs wtf? ? Samsung should start using Snapdragon in all the regions.
still on Oreo, didn't want to update after people started reporting big drop in battery life post-Oreo
Is it now better or... I better stay put?
9h on wifi, bunch of apps active
On LTE gets from 85% to 55 at work, in 8h, notifiicationd constantly coming (twitter, viber, gmail, stocktwits, skype)...don't want to risk losing this.
I keep it charged 40-85%, charged it few times to 100%.

That's really impressive. Seems like sammy is making our note 9 obselete with new updates.
Exactly.

A few months ago I tested out my battery life from 100% down to 15% during a typical days use.
It took over 14hrs use and 5hrs screen time to get down to 15%
Its used for work, so everything is turned on (Wifi, 4G data, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth, Sync, AOD) at max full screen res. Hey, got it use it
The phone was bought 2018, and is running the last version of Android 9, (I tried 10 and hated it).
So stick with or go back to 9 if you have the option. :good:
My note 9 gets average 8 hours sot I'm on 9 pie .and wont update to android 10 as it dropped my sot to 4 hours average. So I went back to pie
I don't get people who complain for battery on Android 10. I get 8h SOT for 24h with 0 attempt to save power and just enjoying my phone. Exynos here.

Yes but it does not work in Bulgaria. For the actual modules I use FineLock. I need GoodLock installed for some modules to auto-start on boot.

Sure will charge to 100 these days and drain to low percentage and will share screens. But I'm on exynos version, not snapdragon.
@ankydu @Techvir Here is my usage today. Unplugged at around 82-83% at midnight and started using it from 8:30 until 20:30 when it hit 30%. So for 50% battery used for 12h (and 8h stand-by at night) I get 4h SOT. See attached screenshot for all details. And this is with the "inferior" Exynos chipset It's amazing for me. If I actually had something to do to achieve 8h SOT I would have charged to 100 and stopped at 1% with the 8h SOT. I just prefer charging between 30 and 80 to not degrade my battery. And I don't really need more than 4h SOT per day (which still was a little stretch xd) so I'm perfectly fine with this info.

Don't know what region it's for but that doesn't matter. Get the April firmware from here: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-note9/firmware/#SM-N960F
Or if you want you can always get the latest one from May too. I just prefer waiting for the OTA to hit me rather than flashing it myself.

I bought my phone on 5th March and updated it immediately. Didn't have any problems on the March update as well (like that green tint issue that's being mentioned a lot).

Just curious do they do monthly? Quarterly? Or whenever they feel like?
As a side note what is up with the major battery drain for the AoD?
'Till now it's about monthly.
