Go to Samsung dot com and under the U1 model click specifications. All radios and bands will be shown on manufactures website.

It has all the bands required, including Band 71. However on the U1 Firmware I have had a hard getting to hold the signal. It will roam then drop a weak signal and you'll get a notification that you're no longer connected to the mobile network.
Flashing the U carrier firmware cures the problem, for me at least. The problem was worse for me on the unlocked Pie firmware than on Oreo.

Try this procedure

"Ok. Perhaps your Note 9 is preferring band 12 LTE which is slower and usually more congested if too many people are also connected to it. Your Note 5 may be preferring band 2 or 4 LTE hence an increase in speed. On your Note 9, go to the dialer and type *#0011# 6th line down from the top there should be a number next to "band" what is it? We can also try disabling band 12 by dialing *#2263#, to to LTE band preference > Next page > tap on LTE b12 to deselect it. tap the 3 dot menu button (upper right) tap "back" (repeat) until youi're at the main screen, "apply band configuration". Retest data speeds.
If this doesn't help, then you're likely experiencing congestion in your area. Re-enable band 12 by selecting "apply all bands" and apply."
I had similar issues and tried this and got faster internet speeds. I had to disable band 2. Got this procedure from the internet.

will European z3c work fully on AT&T or should I wait for US version?

I see that the Sony mobile US site has the z3c listed as coming soon. Is it best to just wait for that to come out or will the European version fully support all of the AT&T bands? I'd hate to import a phone and not get the best reception/internet.
I know it was suggested in another thread that it would work with AT&T but then there was some confusion in another thread about the phone possibly missing 1 or 2 bands. Any help from an expert would be greatly appreciated.

I know Sony's white papers have been wrong in the past (Z1 Compact with glass back, grrrr ) but the one for the Z3 Compact D5803 has 4G bands Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 20.
I've had a hunt around for AT&T's 4G bands but this seems a but trickier as it seems dependent on region, going by wikipedia it looks like the main bands are 2, 4 and 17 which are all supported by the European version per the above. It probably doesn't help that I'm not from the US and I don't have enough posts to add the URLs, sorry.
I feel like I remember reading back in the day that some companies used bands of the same frequency that weren't cross compatible. It's always made me nervous about buying non US phones. However my info could be wrong.
When I was in the states, I got a AT&T sim card. My phone definitely says that it has the lte bands. Still, it only displayed h+ while I was there. I did not bother to go back to the store and check because the speed was very good anyway. So maybe it's because the bands are different or it was working on 4g but just not displaying it, I don't know.

AT&T must provision your sim for LTE otherwise you'll only receive 3G even if the phone is capable of 4G. Usually they do this based on the IMEI of your device and if it's a non AT&T phone then it won't appear in their database as LTE capable. There are ways for them to manually configure the sim for LTE by contacting support.
The UK model D5803 definitely supports AT&Ts LTE on bands 2, 4, and 17.
Does AT&T have more bands than 2,4,17?
I found when googling AT&T LTE bands that they apparently have also started to use band 5 (850mhz) but that's still supported by the Z3 compact. This was both on AT&T's forums and howardforums but I'm not sure if AT&T need to do something else to enable LTE support on that particular device. I think my own network (3 UK) has to do this as it took a few months for my unlocked Moto X to pick up their 4G network.
From AT&T: https://www.att.com/shop/wireless/byop.html
Refer to the manufacturer's website to verify your unlocked device works with a SIM card on an AT&T GSM network frequency:
• 3G UMTS network 850/1900MHz bands
• 4G LTE network AWS / 700 / 850 / 1900MHz bands
Click to collapse
AWS (1700/2100MHz) is band 4 (Blocks A, B, C, D, E)
700MHz is band 17 (blocks B, C)
850MHz is band 5
1900MHz is band 2
The overwhelming majority of AT&T LTE is on band 17. Bands 2 and 4 are used for additional capacity in some markets and/or some rural/smaller market coverage. I'm not sure they've rolled anything out on band 5 yet, but even so the Z3c has that covered.
OK,
thank you very much for the additional research. It seemed like that was the case but I don't trust my own opinion since I haven't done any real looking into this type of stuff in like 4 years.

To answer your original question, as far as we know there is no US model of the Z3c, only the EU D5803 and Asia D5833. If Sony sells it unlocked in the US it will probably be the D5803.
In preparation, hopefully I'll have it in a week.
Programming non-AT&T devices with the correct APN and MMS data settings
Subscribing since I'm very interested in this phone and my service provider is AT&T
Works great. I live in both NY and San Francisco, and I get LTE everywhere on AT&T.
I imported the D5803 (EU) model through Expansys.
Yes. Just make sure to get the d5803 model.

TMobile Note 5on AT&T?

My Tmobile Note 4 runs on AT&T unlocked. Will I have similar luck with a Tmobile Note 5 on AT&T if I can get it unlocked? One thread points to a missing Band 17 on the Tmobile device, but I don't have a definitive answer. Looking for the benefit of rootable and unlocked bootloader.
what exactly is Band 17 used for though? 2G, 3G, LTE, Talk/Text?
is your N4 missing Band17 as well?
why not pick up an unlocked intrnational version?
(Sent from another Galaxy via Tapatalk)
It is missing band 17, which is AT&T's low band.
Otherwise, it works great on AT&T.

I pulled up an LTE band tester and I am using band 17 at my house on my N4. I take it that means the TMob version is out.
That's right, the TMO Note 5 left out Band 17.

Does US Unlocked Phones (Galaxy S8 and Note 8) Support 4G TDD LTE Bands?

I am interested in buying US version (Snapdragon) of factory unlocked Note 8. However, it's full specs on network/radio bands are not listed yet even on Samsung official site.
I looked in full specs for Galaxy S8 unlocked (SM-G950UZKAXAA) vs carrier version such as Galaxy S8 for T-mobile (SM-G950UZKATMB), and noticed that carrier versions all listed support for 4G TDD LTE: B38(2600),B39(1900),B40(2300),B41(2500), while unlocked version does not. As the screenshots show.
So will Note 8 unlocked (Snapdradon) also be missing the 4G TDD LTE bands (B38, B39, B40, B41)?
Or maybe the specs listed on Samsung official site are not accurate and unlocked also supports those bands? Wishful thinking.
4G TDD LTE is used in some countries like China. So anyone with unlocked S8 on tmobile traveled to China can confirm if 4G data worked in China with t-mobile SIM?
If the unlocked phone only has the benefit to switch carriers in US but has limited band support internationally, then I will have to think twice.
Yeah I was trying to figure this out as well. So far, from other sites, I have seen mix messages. One site FrequencyCheck.com states that it does have those bands and other show them is missing...not sure which one is correct. Also, for other sites I have seen that the T-Mobile version also has 3G TD-SCDMA: B34(2010), B39(1880) and the unlocked version has 3G CDMA: 800/1900. I really can not make heads or tails of this information....is it correct, who is wrong??? I called Samsung that they don't have the information yet, so I don't know either way. I'm leaning to go with the Unlocked by Samsung version, but I am in the same boat with regards to this matter.
Looks like it, i have a Unlocked verdion of the phone.

N950F/FD on T-Mobile LTE

Just got my N950F/FD
Put my sim in and only connects on 4G
Used LTE discovery and it sees the LTE. But the icon on top does not turn to LTE.
Mobile settings also does not have option for LTE, only 4G/3G/2G
Went in to T-mobile today to have the sim card replaced with no success, still stays at 4G
Anyone have same problem or any suggestions?
Thanks!
Baseband Version: N950FXXU1AQHB
Build Number: NMF26X.N950FXXU1AQI3
Not sure where that model is from though if it's a import they typically only say 4g. That's lte in other countries. Best to look at network status and see if it says your connected to lte network.

Indeed, my Samsung Tablet S2 LTE international model shows only 4G on the USA T Mobile network, but its actually connected to LTE. For some reason in USA they use LTE symbol whereas the rest of the world notes it at 4G.
Im assuming like most other things, its all about making things sound bigger and better LOL
Thanks so much for the answers! I Will have to do a speed test... connection sucks at my apartment! LoL
Look in settings> about>SIM status. That will tell you. See mine for example.
T-Mobile 'Gigabit' LTE support?
Does anyone know if this specific Note 8 model, SM-N950F, supports the new 'gigabit' LTE promoted by T-Mobile and Qualcomm? Supposedly, only the S8 family, including Note 8, and the latest LG flagship support this gigabyte spectrum; but since the N950F has the international chipset by Samsung (Exynos?) compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset in the other models, will this still work? If anyone can verify

Turns out the international model runs on Samsung’s own Exynos processor, NOT the Qualcomm Snapdragon which does support gigabyte LTE, at least in the States on the T Mobile network for now

LTE+ In Mexico

well, here is the deal.
I bought my Note 8 in the USA (model N950U1) and I am using it in Mexico with Telcel and is working in LTE all the time but a friend of mine has the international version and he has 4G+ (LTE+) and I dont. I went to Canada last week and my network changed to Rogers and was able to use LTE+ the entire week, so I am guessing that it has to be the bands here in Mexico or something. Is there a way to change the CSC or the bands so I can use the LTE+? I have the snapdragon version.
thanks in advance
I have a 950F, bought from telcel, when using data a 4G icon appears not LTE, I have also VoLTE available, showing an icon when active, the icon (LTE or 4G) may be carrier defined

I forgot to mention that, In USA and Canada the use LTE instead of 4G (is the same), so if you see 4G+ i the same as LTE+. Looks like they are more into letters than numbers.
So,are you on 4G+ or just 4G?
Telcel uses 4G+ or 4.5G, (LTE+) as they evolved from 4G (LTE) to handle VoLTE, so they say
