Mi Max vs Mi Max 2 SAR Values - Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I noticed that the SAR values (both USA and EU) of the Mi Max is noticeably lower than the Mi Max 2. I thought the hardware between the two are identical except for the CPU, camera and battery. Anyone know what would account for the difference?
I'm using a MM2 and planning to get one for my wife, but she does voice calls more often hence concerned about the SAR exposure.
Also, does the MM1 have the same echo and in-call volume problems as the MM2?
Thanks!

max 2 is almost 2year old phone which is running outdated android nougat(official) why dont you look for some newer device
if the concern is about SAR then use headphones or Bluetooth headsets
regarding echo and in-call volume exists only on few custom roms of max2. stock rom doesnt have any issues other than outdated OS version.

GPS issues in MIX?

Hello everybody.
I´m about to purchase Mix 6GB and I´d like to know if this model has the same issue of MI5 model with GPS module.
Other question about the ceramic speaker: is it too low to hear in a noisy enviroment?
Thank you.

Hi. What kind of issue the Mi5 has got no idea but GPS works OK on Mix, im heavily using navigation(almost everyday), nothing wrong about it.
Speaker is not ceramic but the whole body. Sometimes hard to hear other party if the environment is so noisy but there is Viper 4 Android etc to make in call voice louder, i guess. Besides; other party's voice is coming like through a long pipe, not clear as ordinary earpieces in my experience.
Mi MIX
7.5.4 Épic
I have no issues using GPS on the Mi Mix. It is able to lock on quickly and retain a full GPS fix so that navigation software (Google Maps and Waze) is usable. Previously, I have used a Mi5 Pro where GPS was able to get a general location but unable to keep a fixed GPS single while moving. This made my Mi5 Pro unusable with navigation software which was a deal breaker for me. I am happy I took the risk on ordering the Mi Mix and having it work perfectly this time around for GPS.
Regarding the speaker, I can confirm it is difficult to hear in a noisy environment when using the earpiece to have a private conversation. Luckily I have no trouble using it in quieter situations and I generally do not do too many voice calls on my phone at all.
Hope this helps!

Headphones volume is extremely low

I have a big problem with the Mi A2 - it's really quiet using headphones (through the stock adapter). It's not headphones problem. Now, the question is, is that because of the software or maybe because of the crappy adapter? I need the people from EU country to speak here because maybe it us because of the stupid EU law.
Noticed this too. You get a slight improvement with viperfx and master gain /xloud , but that's all I found out.
Now, even if I am a pretty solid fan of Jack + high end headphones, we are in 2018, moving to BT headphones with Bt 5.0 is the way to go. On this matter. Having aptx advertised and not able to use it without build.prop tweak is a more serious matter IMHO ??
Still Loving my mia2 everyday more tho. This thing is getting faster everyday and having the governor set to ondemand + touch boost disabled make it fast as hell and crazy battery performance (getting solid 5-6 hours SOT)
Grüß,
H
Same problem.... headphones were pretty loud on my old Mi4... now its really low. :/
What do you mean with "touch list disabled"?
Thanks!

I love my Mi A2 too but I swear I can't listen to the music because the volume is so damn low. While you are rooted, could you send this file - system/etc/mixer_paths_tasha.xml and this system/etc/mixer_paths.xml? I am sure low volume can be fixed by editing these files.
They can be stored in this place too - vendor/etc

Where is this option?
Solution?
This problem is something I struggle with too. Might it be the usb type c adapter to aux which is the problem? Can anyone try with a different adapter and report back? I am using Xiaomi mi in ear pro headphones. I need to use max volume to have a volume which I consider medium.

I just got my Mi A2 and the audio volume seems very low when Bluetooth paired to my cars stereo. Maybe halve the volume of my old LG phone. Very weird since the audio volume thru the Mi A2's built-in speaker is VERY loud.
Stock dongle's output is slow. Get some other 3rd party and sound will get louder. I have bought and its sound is quite louder than stock's one.
Sent from my Mi A2 using Tapatalk
I just got google's newest dongle, it is good. The volume, while not overwhelming, is certainly loud enough with music. Dynamic Range seems quite improved also. I figured for 12 bucks, not much to lose. But turned out improvement for sure.
Mi A2 audio quality
I am currently using the stock dongle and mi piston fresh earphone on my Mi A2 for music. The audio quality is really poor. There's noise and audio is muddy. Is anyone experiencing this and is there a way to improve the audio quality?
I used the headphones of the leeco le Max 2 type c and it sounds wonderful ... but when using the adapter for my headphones Xiaomi sounds very slowly

This doesn't help at all. You'll still end up being stuck with SBC or AAC codec.
I recently converted my phone to Mi 6x and flashed AospExtended v5.8 Rom. Now LDAC is working perfectly with my sony wh1000xm2 headphones and volume output from stock dongle has increased to normal levels. So finally I'm able to use my MI A2 for listening music and I don't need to carry my old Moto X play with me just to use spotify.
I don't think problem is low quality of stock dongle. After all it is just simple adapter and it shouldn't have any or very little difference on audio quality (audiophiles may have different opinions). And I also had very low volume via bluetooth on stock rom.
I'd really love to use the stock rom because the stock camera is much better for day to day use than these buggy gcam ports, but low audio output makes it impossible. Mi a2 is great phone with ****ty firmware and I don't have any high hopes for Xiaomi to fix these bugs. Maybe in the future when development really kicks in we got rom wich is capable for music and photos.

So can someone confirm if this is a problem in the type-c to 3.5mm adapter? If i buy a usb-c earphone or a third party adapter the audio will be loud?

1) Change the region to Indonesia, some regions have restricted max volume (like most of EU)

Couple of questions about Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro functions

Coming from OnePlus 1 I'm missing some functionality on my new phone and would like clarification if it's missing or I can't find it.
1. 1+1 has 6 built in System profiles that can change all sorts of things and change automatically by many different triggers (GPS location, WiFi connection or disconnection, NFC, bluetooth). Does Mi 9T Pro have anything similar? Is there a good app for this?
2. 1+1 have option to gradually increase volume of ringing over the time. Does Mi 9T Pro have anything similar? Is there a good app for this?
Thanks
1. The MIUI equivalent of what you described is the "Automated tasks" feature. Unfortunately, it is definitely missing from the Global and EEA ROMs of the 9T Pro. Maybe the China ROM has it, I don't know...
2. Yes, it has an option for gradually increasing ringtone volume.

Can you point me in the right direction for increasing ringtone volume setting? thanks... have found it
After testing "gradually increasing ringtone volume" it's not even close to what 1+1 have. It goes to highest level in 2 rings...
Flipping the phone to mute ringer, doesn't work if phone was already on the screen side.
Lifting to reduce ringing doesn't work for me.

Question redmi note 10 pro max problems.

Hello everyone
For past 1 month i have been using mi note10 pro max and slowly i am having issues with my phone.so plz help me to solve these problem
Screen does not give proper respond while touching the screen in 60hz aswell as 120hz(sometimes)
stereo speaker sometime works and sometime it wont.(tried switching from mono to stereo and vice versa)
I have been using different types of earphone and earbuds yet i am not able to hear stereo sound(only in 8d types of audio) other music works fine as stereo.
the equalizer preset given my redmi for earphone s are not ok i was wondering i could change it.
Thats it.
Thank you in advance
Since it is under warranty why don't you visit an authorized service center. May be they will apply a fix for these issues. And you are still under the warranty period. So it would be possible
i also wanted to ask whether the problem in redmi note 10 pro max of battery draining will be improved or will it be draining as it is draining now bcs i think downgrading the phone will not be the issue and it should be optimized by the company itself
pls tell me
