Does anyone know if this actually works for the Galaxy S10?
I've checked the notes on google play and the only thing I've seen is that it works for pie (which I suspect means will work on the S10) and that for themes they need to be updated for the s10 (or pie). I'm guessing as long as it's all updated for pie it should work on the S10?
I've downloaded them, but I'm not quite ready to plunge into applying a theme - I've read a few comments it that they work with one UI but not all parts theme yet.

I tried installing overlays and they are not getting installed. Something is blocking it or maybe its not supported without root

According to these 2 articles from June-18 Google has intentionally killed the Substratum-Rootless option

about to purchase the tab s2 verizon model, and doing some research, i came across this post from twitter from a bout a month ago:

i'm not sure how safe this rooting app is, its the first i've heard of it, but that post gives me a little hope. i checked the firmware build number and it does match.
is anyone willing to give it a try and use some root required apps to verify it works?

hey, thanks for trying, i just got my tablet today,...suprisingly, native hotspot works without any limitations or extra apps (i still have UDP), but i would like root so i can enable all apps to be multiwindow! i use in the car with waze for navigation split screened with my podcast/media player app. waze isn't enabled for multiwindow, and neither are some of my other apps i use on a daily basis. overall though, i am impressed with the tablet, except the frame is plastic-y, wish it had some kind of metal frame instead but still nice. "upgrading" from note pro 12.2 verizon, but i think i'll still hold on to it because i have it working the way i want, bought this new one specifically for phantom 4, until i get comfortable using it as my daily tablet.
thanks again for trying the srsroot app. guess we're still **** out of luck rooting.
i think there is an app out there that EDITS/MODIFIES an apk to enable multiwindow mode, but doesnt work with all apps, and some apps that depend on certain services or accounts and verifying don't work properly, rooting was the only easy way to enable multiwindow for everything for me.
I'm planning on buying a Note 9, and I came across Good Lock 2018 which is very nice, however, it was on Oreo, and I was wondering if it works on Pie as well with One UI?

Nope, Tried em. None of them works yet.
But if you look at apkmirror the SDK target is android 9... maybe meanwhile is a beta it won't work. Hope that be working at final release.
Doesn't work.
Doesn't work on my Note 9 running Android 9 stable version. All the modules read as unplugged. Tapping on any one of them it says "We're preparing an update. Try again when you see the update available mark".
a few work like edgelighting a nicecatch but none of the good ones...yet
One-hand works as well. Wish they get Recents and Navstar working as well.
Not even BadLock?

goodlock/badlock is just launcher
what we need is the apps (quickstar/lockstar/routine/etc.) to work with pie
Any update here?

I'm wondering how this will work too. I really liked how the recent apps windows worked previously. The way they cascaded over each other showed more info than the one UI's method. Hopefully it doesn't change too much.
Good lock for Pie is here!!! Check your Galaxy store.
Can someone upload them.
I have downloaded the Good Lock and its add ons via Galaxy store using VPN method. But unfortunately, routines was not included in it. Does yours have?
No Routines yet. Probably not ready.
Will this work with the s10?

I couldn't get the apk install. In fact, in font threads for the Note 9, those apks don't install either even though they work on Pie on the Note. So something different must be going on on the S10 series.
Same, app wont install
you cant install custom fonts on Samsung S8 and onwards i think - unless from their galaxy store
i suggest you download a font called NeuePlakRegular Latin - costs about £1 but is very good
So I know that this phone has a locked bootloader, but is there a way I can still root? Bolt loader allows people to download custom roms but i don't plan on doing that. Is there a way I can root without the intention of downloading custom roms?
Also im.new so sorry if I'm doing anything wrong.
I'm a long time Android user that used to be big on rooting and ROMs. That said, using ADB and Swift Installer or Substratum, I've got every mod I wanted without root.
ADB allows you to remove bloatware from your default user profile, but allows software updates as well. This prevents such apps from ever running in the background.
Swift Installer or Substratum combined with themes gives you great customization of the interface such as background color, accent color, and icon style. It can even theme apps that the Samsung store themes cannot. Samsung has left access to these theming engines enabled in the software for the Note 9 so far, but this could be blocked in a future update.
I love Swift Installer and it can be downloaded from the Play Store. Make sure you're on the default Samsung theme before applying themes.

There is no root as yet for the Note 9 U OR U1 model. It is being worked on though, and progress can be checked by going to the General Discussion section.

Can't you get exynos models from tmobile? Or do you only gets those from Samsung. And I really can't "trade" it in since it's being paid off.
All US Note 9 models are Snapdragon. Only the International versions (N960F) are Exynos. You can find them easily, but the warranty may be an issue.
Anybody tried this method for snapdragon models http://androidbiits.com/root-samsung-galaxy-note-9-sm-n960u-crownqltesq-easily/

Nope. Clickbait than a MOFO!!!
https://desktop.firmware.mobi/device:1950/firmware:19034
That's supposedly the files they point to but as you can see, CF-autoroot is not supported for our device.
Sites like androidbiits copy and paste the same article for every device they list on their site and simple change the device model. If the Note 9 was rooted by Chainfire, it would definitely be on the xda front page.

I also saw that too, lol. I knew it was fake from the start.

I will check the Note 9 page for any updates like was said before.
i need help, im running A12 One UI 4 December 2nd update, i noticed that the colour pallet theminig is no applying to the samsung keyboard like it does on my Note 20U 5G. Is there any solution to this?
That looks burn your eyes out horrible without dark mode.
Other than the keyboard settings some Galaxy Store themes will change it as well.
Lol, I've used this keyboard scheme since Kitkat.

S21 firmware, compared to that made available on Note 20 (but also on S10/N10), is about 1 month old. Think how many changes can be implemented in this time frame, especially if we consider that S21 firmware it's affected by stuttering.
Unfortunately you (like me and other users on main thread) have to wait and hope that the January update arrives soon and integrates all the necessary fixes.

I use dark mode all the time, I only removed it for illustration purposes only. I love the colour pallet theming better than Galaxy Store themes

Could...but at this point, if issue still persist after a full wipe, it's just a firmware bug.

Sounds like a firmware bug, maybe...
Double, triple check settings including Developer options... Samsung's infamous buried menus.
It a carrier or unlocked version?
Maybe flashing another official version get it.
It almost sounds like a Good Lock module should cover it, but no such thing that I'm aware of.
