I have just purchased a Note 5 and am pleased. However, I cannot seem to get the device to recognize any of my Bluetooth toys; a Flip speaker and a wireless earpiece. It simply searches and then I get a message that it could not find any devices. Both these devices are recognized by my Note 2 readily. My modem is functional and the phone has recognized it and is picking up the Internet. All other features of the Note 5 seem OK. Since two Bluetooth devices cannot be “found” by the Note 5, I am assuming I have a setting that prevents it from linking, or there is a defect in the phone of some kind. Any tips or recommendations would be appreciated.
I have a Kenwood stereo that does wireless android auto, in fact it worked great with my pixel 3. I thought that phones with Pie were going to have wireless AA but I can't get it too work with my s10

pie brought wireless AA too xenophobes if you have the right head unit. I upgraded to a Kenwood that has that feature and like I said it worked great with my pixel. Pie was supposed to bring it to non pixelnphones but it's not working for me.

Good to know. Wonder if my car will accept wireless.

I had an s8 that would auto connect to Android Auto....but now I have an s10e that won't auto connect....Any ideas??
Wireless AA is a power hog. You are basically running the WiFi like a hotspot non-stop, besides the navigation and whatnot (Spotify/Pandora).
If you want to be truly wireless, you better have a good Wireless Fast Charger in the car (and the phone to support it). Ah, and while wireless charging, the phone should be mounted in front of the AC vent, to cool off...
I think that only Pixel and Nexus phones are enabled for wireless AA (info as of March 2019), it's not all the Pie phones:

Does anyone know if a 2017 Buick Encore head unit will support wireless Android Auto? It has wifi...
My Galaxy S9 Android Auto has an option to enable wireless projection but it will not connect to the head unit.

Read the manual for your car. Look in the multimedia section in the characteristics of the head unit for support Android Auto Wireles. But I'm 99% sure that your car does not support.

Yes, I'm sure also that the head unit does not currently support wireless AA. I guess I'm wondering if a software/firmware update of the head unit from Buick could eventually enable wireless AA, or is that not how this works?
It's a difficult question. If head unit is built-in WiFi, then this can be solved with the new firmware. However, manufacturers are very reluctant to support media devices.

From that article it sounds like there's more involved than just a head unit firmware update. In particular, I believe my car only has a single band WiFi connection as I only get 2.4ghz and not 5ghz. If the article is accurate then that would mean there's no hope for my car. Bummer. Oh well...
Hey guys,
there is a feature cut in the Dual Audio functionality since Android 10. For most people, this might be not a big thing, but for people who are using dual audio while they workout, this feature cut might be very annoying.
The dual audio function of Android 8.x or 9.x was ablet to reconnect to both connected bluetooth speakers/headphones when the connection got lost, for example because the distance between the mobile phone and one of the headphones was to big or something like that. Also, when you switched on two paired bluetooth headsets, Android 8 and 9 was able to connect to both devices automatically.
Since Android 10, only one headset can connect automatically to the note 9. I always have to connect the second device manually. Once this is done and the connection to one of the two devices disconnects for some kind of reason, you have to reconnect the second device manually again.
One more annoying thing is, that when you are connected with bluetooth headset 1 to the mobile phone and activate bluetooth headset 2, the active connection will switch from headset 1 to headset 2, which means its possible to highjack the connection between note 9 and headset 1 with a paired device.
This is very annoying during a workout, because nobody wants to pause the workout to reconnect the second bluetooth device again, espacially if you are carrying the device during a run in a bag of your clothes, or a saddle bag, in you bag during a workout at the studio...
Are there any solutions to get the automatic functionality from Android 8 or 9 back? As far as i can see, this problem is also on all other samsung devices with android 10 and dual audio functionality. This issue came to alle devices since Android 10 with One UI 1.x.
This problem is adressed in the german samsung community forum, but till now, without a solution:

This thread is dedicated for AAWireless users.
AAWireless is a device which allows you to transform your existing wired Android Auto compatible unit into a Wireless Android Auto unit.
General chat, experience sharing and community support should be expected as well as support from the developers of the product: @Snirpo and myself.
Hi, I am an AAWireless beta tester and have been helping test the device.
I have four phones that I use with AAWireless.
Samsung Galaxy S20 5G [Android 11]
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G [Android 11]
Moto G Power (2020) [Android 10]
LG Q7+ [Android 9]
I have a 2020 Hyundai Palisade with the 10.25 inch head unit.
I may be able to help with questions that you may have here.

I'm also an AAWireless beta tester;
I've tested Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite;
With my Kia Rio from 2017
Ou trouver AAWireless à l'achat hors du site Indiegogo?

En anglais, si tu plait.
Today I received AAWireless box. It works flawlessly on Lenovo P2 with Android 11 and with 9.2″ screen MIB2.5 unit in VW Passat B8.
Thank you very much Emil and Chiel !

Where can I buy AAWireless so that I can become a user? Indiegogo sold out
I got it mine today and except the issue with VPN (which is btw linked to Android auto and not to aawireless), it works flawlessly with no issue at all. Wondering if there's a way to create a sort of tunnel for AA on the VPN but I already wrote to my VPN service provider.
Awesome work Emil and the whole team there!
I received my device today and it worked out of the box! I love it!
I only had one time the problem, that my headunit suddenly completly restarted. I dont know why (maybe the Tap limitation option? I have this disabled via AA AIO Tweaker and in the AAWireless options).
I will report if this happens again.
I wonder if the device records some diagnostics data and send it automaticly to the developers for troubleshooting.
Headunit: Seat MIB2Std + Nav (5QA035846B)
Smartphone: Oneplus 8T (Android 11)
I got the dongle today. While my phone shows that it is connected to Android Auto, the grass unit of my car doesn't do anything (as in the Android Auto launcher doesn't show)
Tried all combinations of USB mode and Pass-through, clearing data of Android Auto app (Pass-through option made the dongle bootloop), unpairing phone from head unit via Bluetooth. No luck.
Phone is Pixel 4
Car is Nissan Qashqai.

Headunit restarting problem happend 2 times in 15 minutes again.
@Emil Borconi, Thank You for all the great work and for starting up this thread so that we can chat, it's much better than trying to do this over the Comments section on Indiegogo.
Hi Everyone, I'm in the waiting queue for my AAWireless, but I am currently running AAGateway on a rooted cell phone and it is working beautifully (with the occasional hiccup). I anticipate that AAWireless will solve the minor, sporadic issues I see with AAGateway.
I received mine couple days ago aswell.
It worked right of the box with zero issues.
The connection is fast and stable.
This is with Pixel 5 and 2017 VW Passat B8 with discover media (MIB2).
Hello, i got Mine some days ago and i am excited Like Most Other Users.
I have no Problems and the Connection is very fast and stable.
Never ever an USB cable.
Thank you for the good Work.
My configuration:
Hyundai i30 pde 2019 with Touch Display
Pixel 5 with Android 11 (Not rooted)

Hi
I also got the box and it works perfectly with my Oneplus 8 Plus and my Kia e-Niro 2021.
Unfortunately, the entire display is not used for Android Auto and there remains a black area on the right that cannot be used.
Is there a way to use the entire screen?
And great device and great Jop!
it works like a charm!! really thx so much @Emil Borconi !
samsung s21 and peugeot nac (3008)
got mine yesterday and i only had some troubles with netguard (VPN "firewall"), since i disbaled the rules for aawireless and android auto it is working.
Pixel 4 XL
Ford Focus MK3
I just received a notification my unit has shipping. I guess I will be one of the first to confirm if this works with a 2020 Subaru Forrester along with my OnePlus 8T+ 5G (KB2007).
I also received my AAwireless a few days ago and am having problems with my Xiaomi Mi10 phone. However, my wife's phone, a Huawei P30 Pro, didn't cause any problems at all. So it's up to MIUI again. That may be safe, but it is extremely annoying with peripherals. Does anyone know these problems with Xiaomi and maybe can help me?
II have no regrets and was one of the first to support on Indiegogo and I would love to do it again!
Edit: Car is a Kia ProCeed GT 2020.
