OK so let me start from the beginning.
I Networked unlocked my At&t note 9.
put in a T Mobile sim put the unlock code in and everything went fine.
Today I had a friend that's been having a issue with her sprint s10 dropping calls.
so i put her chip in my note 9 make a test call and got a message about sprint activation. I ignored it shut the phone
off and when i rebooted with my at&t chip im still getting this omadm message from sprint and it tries to activate.
Tried several times downloaded Firmware for my note 9. used odin .
also booted to recovery deleted cache and the other setting to factory reset.
reboot and still get this message.
tried the following
https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sp...move-sprint-omadm-notification-t3636264/page2
still nothing has removed this .rebooted several more times still same thing.
I check in about phone>status under brand says sprint (WTF) and username has some numbers with @hcm.sprintpcs.com
now i also have a update trying to download which also appears to be from sprint .
At this point i need any help i can get please .

That didn't do anything either but thanks.
Weird. Have you tried letting it "activate" on sprint? I would try that. Then shut down phone, and restart with your sim.

I called samsung there sending me a replacement .
If anyone else has input on a solution, I would like to hear just to have the info. At least you're getting taken care of.

Sounds like your device may not have been unlocked properly...
Download phone.info app and screen shot the csc etc here.
Also put boot up with a t mobile sim and see what happens.

Yeah, Sprint's carrier apps need burned out with fire. In the G-pad their Chameleon was installed as something like com.lge.hiddenmenu, and it's job was using accessibility permissions to knock any menu they didn't want you touching into the background.. Sprint = Hitler.

Every once in a while I would notice, when I unlocked my phone, it would say "Emergency Calls Only" as if I didn't have a SIM card in.
Everything would still work after that such as text messages and calls, so I just figured it was a weird issue with Cyanogen 6 RC1.
Starting today, I was getting that message every single time, and also a notification that I couldn't register on T-Mobile's network.
I got on T-Mobile's live chat help, and they said there's nothing wrong with the service in my area. The person also had me tell him the SIM card number to ensure they had the right one in their system, which they did.
After this, I figured it might still be because I'm running CM RC1 so I upgraded to RC3 and I"m still having the same issue.
T-Mobile's "my account" program is no longer set up, so I don't get the notification, but I still get the emergency calls message on the lock screen.
Also, I AM connected to the T-Mobile network, but it just won't recognize my phone.
I was wondering if anyone else had any insight...
Which radio are you using? Has it done this since upgrading from stock rom?
Yes I just had this similar issue yesterday and I'm on at&t. Also, everything on my N1 is stock.

I had the froyo radio but then I flashed the new Korean radio and it didn't help.
I did, however, pull out the old trusty G1 to have a working phone again. But when I started it up, it reported not having a sim card. Im going to go to tombile tomorrow to get them to test it. I'll report back in case someone else has the same issue.

You might try cleaning the SIM card contacts, they might be the culprit.
I went to T-Mobile and he confirmed it was the sim card. Actually he said it was fairly common for them to go bad. No charge and I'm working 100% now. Thanks!

I have not in my life seen a dead SIM card, it was a month ago that somebody was asking around the forums what and why. I was shocked
And T-Mobile says it's common.. lol wut?
Maybe the Nexus One eats them lol

Your have to rest it to factory and keep SIM inside when I turns back on and wait for little while, I happened to me too. and this trick worked.
Do I ever take the Sim card out and put it back in then reset the phone ...or just leave it in and factory reset ?? Thanks for the help

So I'm having this same issue. I personally have been fighting it with each update and spent hours on the phone since launch with AT&T and LG. Today when i contacted AT&T they transferred me to LG to see what could be done. The moment that tech got on the phone he said it was a known issue and it had to be sent in to be repaired. Unfortunately the AT&T DSC can no longer flash LG phones or I would have gone that route. It looks like LG messed up on this one for devices (look at their webpage and you will see 2 AT&T D950). Personally I'm looking into other options to see if anything else is available.
EDIT : I tried the return to stock method and both times it continues to say not registered. Guess its going back to LG for reflashing..
This stinks! Did u mess with similar card at all?

I tried changing sim cards, changing the date, multiple factory resets, everything that both companies wanted me to do. Even contacted lg 3 times in the course of 2 months for them to finally say it was a known issue. From various other threads and pages im seeing it happen on different lg phones as well.
EDIT: Contacted ATT Chat support again today to try to have them push the update to me, after finally explaining to him that he was looking at the wrong phone (every agent has done this since this issue has come up) he checked my provisioning and created a case to have my bjorked Update provisioning fixed. Might be something you all will want to have them look into.
Factory reset worked for me. I didn't get the not registered message after the reset.

I have that same issue the phone is not registered yet problem the only think would help to update the phone to kikat its finding the TOT and dll file and make the update via de lg flash tool but at this time no one have those files yet
hi i have had that issue with lg g2 and what i did was go to ATT outlet or whatever carrier you may have and ask for a new sim. put the new sim in and do a wipe everything....it sucks but must be done. when your phone restarts update everything as it should and check your software update and it should be working. that method has helped a bunch of people even in the g2 forums.
hope you all get the problem sorted.
I have a AT&T model that I was using in Straight-Talk that I sent in to be repaired. Now that I have it back, I want to use it with MetroPCS. It came back with the latest firmware for 4.4.4. I followed the instructions posted here to use the 1 file method to roll back to 4.4.2 and then root and recovery. Everything went fine. I then used Chainfire's app to region unlock the device as I had read this would also carrier unlock this model. Everything claimed to be successful but the phone saw the Metro sim and asked for an unlock code.
So in desperation, I paid for a code and followed their instructions and it claimed success. The phone now boots and doesn't ask for an unlock code. Now it says "Emergency calls only" and the wireless signal strength indicator flip flops between signal bars and a Circle with a line through it, the international No sign. What is going on here? Any advice? I have tried the obvious removing and reinserting the sim chip. I have every relevant topic of emergency calls only. I apologize if this double posted, as I am using the mobile app and wasn't sure it posted previously.
Crickets?
Google metro pcs apns.... Then see what happens after you set it up.

I fixed this by going into the service menu and hitting "NV rebuild"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not talking about no LTE like some have reported, I have absolutely not service. No data, no voice, no 2G, no 3G, no edge, nothing. My unlock code came in tonight, I punched it in, it said successfully unlocked, and I'm stuck.
1. Device is not blacklisted. IMEI is clean. Phone status still has IMEI and baseband info.
2. I've tried multiple APNs and restarted after selected each.
3. I have bars, but no service is reported. If trying to make a call, it says "not registered on network."
4. I called AT&T to do anything on their end. Whatever they did didn't change anything.
5. I've tried searching for networks under "mobile operators."
6. Tried a factory reset.
If anyone can help, please let me know. Thanks.
Edit: My sim came from a nexus 6. Everything still works fine after putting the sim back in there.
Can u give more detail on how u fixed this? Thanks!

With help from your thread about the secret menu
I had initially gone in there about a week ago to see if there was any option to unlock like in previous models. I was trying to be careful not to change anything, but I guess I must have messed something up. Somewhere in there there is an option of "NV Rebuild." I don't remember exactly where it is at and I don't want to ever go back in that menu again
Recently I notice my phone can no longer check for updates. Nothing happens when I press "Download updates manually"
I have been using Cricket since day one and I recently inserted a Verizon sim card into the phone to find the owner of a lost phone I found. The phone restarted after the SIM swaps, but I did not notice the check update stopped working until recently. Was there anything in the SIM swap that might have messed up the internal check update path? is there anyway to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
It is a very, very bad idea to insert uknown sims in your device, for many reasons, you just encountered one of them…

The note 8 auto updates itself for that sim card you are using. Well it did on my unlocked t mobile note 8. I switched a Sprint sim card and the phone configured itself to a Sprint branded phone.

It seems it somehow broke the checking piece... When I used smart switch to update it to the latest security patch, it was pulling AIO (Cricket), so that mean the phone's under Cricket and not Verizon...
I don't want to do a wipe to see if it'll fix it, but might worth a shot.
