Phone is on Android 8.0. It was working fine until about a week ago. I think the system update did something to the phone.
The only way to answer the call is to swipe down notification bar and tap on it then tap Answer. When the phone screen is off, nothing comes up on screen but the phone is ringing. Anyone else experienced this before?

Running ViperROM: if the phone is set up for PIN unlock, with screen off, I've got an issue with calls.
Call goes to my phone, screen turns on and I get the regular dissmiss/answer screen. If I hit dismiss, it answers the call. So does answering the call.
Anyone else having same problem?
Hello,
Since sprout went to official CM12 support, I have been flashing ROMs from there. My recent nightly build was cm-12.1-20150625-NIGHTLY-sprout4.zip . All the incoming calls appear in heads up notification when the phone screen is active, when it is inactive or locked, the incoming call appears like usual and I can answer.
Since I do not like heads up notification, I switch them off. After this, the phone rings, but the call only appears in notification drawer. I then have to pull it and then answer the call.
I have tried changing the notification checkbox of the app.
I expect the active screen to change to regular incoming call display with button in the middle to answer / decline.
Is someone else facing this issue? This wasn't the case in previous nightlies.

I am facing the same issue with oneplus one running cm12s and hi locker app.
I had to revert back to hi locker release 1.4.5.
Do you still experience the issue?
I'll be on a call and the other person will suddenly be unable to hear me. This happens with stock and Pure Nexus (running on both elemental and shamu). It doesn't happen regularly. It hasn't happened in weeks, but yesterday it happened twice on one phone call and once on another. I can fix it during the call if I mute and unmute the phone on the display. When the phone mutes itself, the display control doesn't show that mute is active, only I after I press it and "activate" it.
I used to think it might have been my face pressing against the screen, but that can't be it as the screen is off while I'm talking. In order to fix it during a call, I have to turn the screen on first. Has anyone else had this problem?
I had this problem and found call screen lock in the play store (which solved it). It turned out I was somehow tapping mute with my face while on the phone after not tripping the proximity sensor...
It only happened rarely, but you can tell if you might be doing this if your screen occasionally wakes up while on the call without being pulled away from your face (the proximity sensor thinks it is not close to you face intermittently).
I have notice this since day one but the phone has never wake up and show the contact picture when receiving a call. Even while using the phone the incoming call pop up notification isn't present I have to pull the down the notification shade to access it it so weird?
Is anyone else experiencing this if yes can you please help me with a fix.
Hi,
I can't tell since when it happened.
The phone rings for incoming call, the notification with the "answer" button just appear few seconds afterwards.
it is frustrating as sometimes people thinks I'm not going to answer and hangup before I see the answer.
My phone was rooted and I decided to unroot and lock bootloader to see if it is related. apperantly it does not, the issue is with stock locked as well.
does anyone else have this issue ?
anyone got an idea ?
I trired to clear phone's app cache and data, did not resolve.
Thanks for helping or sharing.
