Mostly there is no hope for 2 Year+ old devices there are also only few custom roms available for this device.

Been running it for the last 36 hours.
Its nice and stable so far.
Took about 48 hours from the time that i applied to the time i was accepted. You get the notification the next day that a new OTA is available for download. version VKY-L29 8.0.0.321 (C636log) EMUI V 8.0.0 Android 8.0.0 with 1st December 2017 Android Security Patch and 4.4.23+ kernel version.

It took around 1-2 days after my application got approved for the OTA to show up.

Hello guys i recently browsing a searching for possible android 8.0 roms for honor 7 lite aka honor 5c and i found that its expected to be updated to oficial android 8.0. It is real or fake ?

In this table it is written that decision is not yet known. There will be custom ROM for sure

In the official release of android 8.0 oreo that comes out mounts before was posted that our honor wotn be updated now its written that its expected so there is some chance to be update?

That list is fake, honor 5x didn't even get nougat and it says it will get oreo

theres not alot that would change, EMUI would still be on top of it, and alot of apps would be buggy.

I think older methods is not working. About ban and error notification is possible fix. I make it on P40 Pro EMUI 10.
Now we need a method for EMUI 11 on Mate 40 Series.

Yepp this is the one to go to. I also posted an instruction post too based off his videos. This still works as of latest firmware on chinese Mate 40 series.

If you have china version of mate 40 pro There are so many teach you how to install gms search youtube. Just remembe don't update your phone you can update after you installed gms
